That's without suffering too bad on my gold sinks, or playing the AH excessively. A bit of good luck here and there, decent tradeoffs, and hell. I'm sturdy. One-shotted the boss, despite some minor screwups. His big explosions were hitting for 6500, but that left me room to grab a health orb if I got squeezed into one.

The option shouldn't have to be an option at all.

It's perfectly fine to have the spells organized the way it currently is, with main branches and then sub-branches (runes), but to specifically ascribe each branch to a hotkey as the default is a pretty big blunder, in my opinion. There's almost no reason to assume there's a way to change this set-up, since it seems counterintuitive for Blizzard to create such restrictions that can just be ignored anyway.

It looks like an intended design decision, so looking for an option to ignore it seems like a waste of time. Having it grouped that way makes sense, it gives a "suggested" type thing for noobs. But for people who want to ignore it, having to dig 3 layers down seems bizarre. I wouldn't have looked for the option if I hadn't known about it.

I want to get the best items from monster drops and not from crafting, half my items are crafted because I've hardly gotten any good loot from monsters. They've probably done to validate the existence of the crafting in the game but its sorta silly just to make a use of gold. This means the items you get are far too rigid, when playing with 4 people we all get the same amount/rarity of items which takes the excitement of drops out of the game, yet to see a gold or green and I'm almost done with act 3. Most of the enjoyment I got out of D2 was seeing a gold/green item drop and then going to identify it, I don't want to have to screw around with gathering a lot of blues to sell/salvage to get better items, I didn't get D3 to play wow :

Most of the items seem to be similar, but with slightly fewer restrictions on dropped items. If your gear is in RNG hell, that sucks, but don't assume it to be weighted in a way it's not, it's just bad luck. Crafting looks to be in a position, at least at lower levels, to flesh out around drops, not to replace them. If it was intended to be a primary gear source, there would be more slots at more levels by default.
