I have a friend whos lvl 23, im lvl 37 I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not he'd get reasonable exp in a4 normal? or even a1 nm. Wanna play with him, but if it dwarfs his exp would be better to just let him play alone and catch up faster, | ||

 Just certain combinations of rare mob types are so damn annoying. I'm just playing through normal and I had a really hard time with a mob that just had molten... They just spent 20 mins downing a rare with arcane+lightning enchanted+illusionist. Lol. | ||

Experience in NM is pretty good, will be better since monsters will be stronger. | ||

I made a really good helmet that lasted me awhile from crafting. You get good stuff, but it's better with friends because you might make something they could use and they might make something you can use. It tapers off at one point though because of the stupid pages you have to find to level it. As for the AH, I made a couple sales in it already. Sold a ring and a legendary Barb belt. Probably could've made the belt a bit higher and still got a quick sale (thing went in about an hour). You can cancel an item but you only have 5 minutes to do it. After that it's stuck there. Probably could raise it to 10 in my opinion but 5 is plenty of time to regret it. | ||

In D2 your experience gains from monsters that were significantly above your level was heavily penalized, in order to prevent players from getting a bunch of levels by getting carried by higher level characters while not doing anything. I would assume D3 has something similar, and I would assume that this is what he is asking about. The projected level for early NM seems like it should be significantly higher than level 21, meaning that if such a penalty exists, it probably would kick in and reduce his friend's XP gains. | ||

I actually didn't know about that. We did have someone party up with us at level 1 when we were about 16 and they leveled pretty quickly, but it did seem a bit slower than I'd expect. | ||

decided to try out Acid Rain and I should have tried it out a whole lot sooner. It is absolutely glorious. I also got a second Magefist drop. this time in Act 3 Normal. | ||

I was running the Mana Dart & Dire Bats on mouse, Gargantuan, Soul Harvest (Swallow your Soul rune), Horrify, and trying out Mass Confusion with Passives being Spiritual Attunement and Gruesome Feast now running Acid Rain in place of Dire Bats & Grasp of the Dead (Grasp of Life rune) I thought I was just going to be using Dire Bats forever since it goes through everything for 40 yards, but after using Acid Rain, it is so much better than Dire Bats imo. example, it's a lot easier to hit bosses with Acid Rain and the 24 yard AoE makes the skill pretty mana efficient as long as I don't waste mana using the skill on 1-2 monsters. | ||
