As far as I know, the only relevant difference is that console still have the crazy Tornado Wizard builds that got nerfed on PC by some weird performance fix.

Console has a dodge roll for all classes on the right stick I believe... right?

Does console have Seasons? I thought that was a PC thing, at least for a while.

Apparently it's a blast with 350.000 - 400.000 players online concurrent. For me it's too much work with VPN and registration and stuff. Hope it is available everywhere at the end of 2019

I've been hyped for Lost Ark since TheLazyPeon did a video for it in 2016/2017 around that time. Too bad its only available in Korea for now, but it does look like the best diablo-esque game currently in development. I'm also far too lazy to try to get into the Korean beta with VPNs and their weird social numbers, so I'm waiting for a west/global release.
Other thing that has piqued my interest is the next installment of Torchlight. We'll see how that goes =)

An important point a friend raised to me (he is playing both Switch and PC), is the total absence of communication on Switch. Like you find something you want to share with the group (say a goblin field)... Well you can't, and if they are not right by you, they may well just run on their side.
Other than that, mostly interface (adapter to a controller), small balance changes, the aforementioned roll dodge, the ability to play fully offline on console, and... That's pretty much it.
E: Wtf are those PTR numbers? This does not make any sense at all. I really though they were done with the ALL POWER TIMES FIVE-TEN every few seasons... :/

Those are just numbers Uh, can you give any examples? I'm not going to pick sides in the PoE vs D3 debate but I don't recall anything of that magnitude recently in poe

Oh you were referring to the scaling of Delves, not player gear numbers or power creep.

I like all of the QOL changes but I hate the set changes.
When is it ever a good idea to buff something tenfold?
Legacy of Nightmares is probably an exception, it's a really fun set that currently doesn't get used, but they're even buffing the dominant sets, sometimes four- or fivefold.
What sense does that make?
That will also completely destroy the balance on HC. I foresee the meta becoming people oneshotting everything and waiting in town after they get hit once and their safety-net passive is on cooldown.

the strongest solo builds (like condemn GR129) won't be buffed. Most builds are buffed to make GR120 - GR130 for the best players. On paper the DH shadow mantle (+11GR) and WD HT (+9 GR) got the biggest buff of this PTR but both won't hit GR130. Barb leap dmg is increased from 5600% to 20000% but this is only damage multiplier of 3,57 or + 8GR.

The power creep in both POE and Diablo 3 is insane. At least in Diablo you can see your enemies before they die. With that patch D3 is trying to set the weaker sets on par with the strongest. More variety is always nice, but the core issues are the same. I'm waiting for D4. In the mean time the ladder reset for D2 is on 12/7.

Don't forget that in the season everyone will have Ring of Royal Grandeur as a buff, so they could be buffing all the 6 sets to compete with having multiple 2 and 4 sets. I'm sure part of it is also them wanting people to feel like they are progressing deeper into GRs too but like Dingodile said this targets a lot of the off-meta builds that aren't as competitive as the best.

This guy only one who understands the numbers lol. They look insane for some sets but ya that’s the kind of buff needed to make up a 10GR difference in max potential. Also this is just for ptr and they will presumably adjust numbers but if they actually manage to get more sets competitive for top of ladder that’d be really cool. Even if all they end up doing is shaking up what’s best is something.
As far as HC it’s not like this changes anything inherently it just means other classes can maybe go as high as crusaders lol.
The set buffs are all dmg. No survivability really.
The free rorg is actually a more dynamic change especially for hardcore where ring slots are extra valuable. It definitely makes some builds hc viable that weren’t really.
The QoL changes are pretty good.

And what is the difference between playing GR120 on subpar build and playing GR130 on buffed build ? You play the exact same thing. The only difference is that the enemies have more hp and your hero does more dmg... So basically there is no difference at all. They are not changing anything gameplay wise. No new content, only number tweaks. And that is lazy and boring. If that is what they had "in store" for D3... Damn, Blizzard has really low standrads nowdays. Remember that they teased this patch as the next big thing for D3, just after the Immortal debacle... Now we find out that it's just number tweaks and another lazy "theme". I wont be surprised, if their "forges are burning hot" for a TCG or something like that. The bar is bellow the sea level at this point.

Do you ignore on purpose that them buffing other sets automatically changes your playstyle? Or are you just angry? Or how about creating new builds with that All-Set-Ring? "teased this patch as the next big thing for D3". Is it? What else is planned? Please tell us what your "Source" told you.
And how are you not just doing the same in every ARPG anyway. What is this game you are planning that provides endless variety by changing playstyle alone
