Remember that I start with a Regrowth. So it's only 365 gold. You get that money back in 12 minutes and 10 seconds. Add the sell value and I don't see it not paying off in an average game. I usually don't sell my Regrowth until fairly late into the game, the HP5 helps a lot even in midgame. DBlade has way less regen unless you autoattack, its only real advantage is the easier lasthitting. DShield is better against burst/ganks, but worse in wars of attrition or against casters. It also helps a lot with mana issues, especially when I hit lvl 9 and have a Ghostblade/Bruta + 15% CDR from runes/masteries, so Volley Spam can actually drain a lot of mana. HP5 is a great stat for laning, having more of it allows me to poke much more. My concerns are: I have decent lanestaying thanks to Regrowth, but want to go shop the Philo fairly soon. I also don't like Teleport on Ashe. I don't know if/by how much the Philo delays my Ghostblade/Bruta/Boots/Red Pot combo, which is where my build starts to kick in.

if you have mana trouble replace your CDR blues with MP5plvl - 25% cdr from Ghostblade+bruta should be more than adequate

If you consider both the extra gold you could have farmed and the extra gold you could have denied your enemy if you were "stronger", as well as the potential kill/death factor, it really doesn't pay off.

365 gold "stronger"? Not a whole lot you can do with that (yeah if I can get Boots + Bruta on my first buy and can't afford Philo too, I will not get it. If I have trouble staying in lane I will look towards DBlade/Philo). Besides, I can trade hits and regen the damage much quicker than my enemy. Which essentially makes me stronger as well. If the enemy hits harder, or if he got more armor so I hit for less, that just evens it out. Elixier is a special case. I haven't even tried that yet, but since you have to make it worth during a limited time it cannot be compared too well with other starting items. I don't see how I would get denied less with a DShield, Boots, or even a DBlade. Don't want to sound stubborn, btw. I personally have success with Regrowth and occasionally Philo. I think my reasoning behind it is sound as well. But if you can clearly show me why X is superior, I'll be happy to improve my play.

Idk, I suck at explaining things but I know that Regrowth Ashe is the easiest Ashe to face, other than vamp scepter ^^

Sure if he is just harrasing you, you'll win, but if he dedicates to getting you low enough where you are forced to wait and regen he'll win. Idk, I suck at explaining things but I know that Regrowth Ashe is the easiest Ashe to face, other than vamp scepter ^^ I don't think I can straight up fight any competent solo laner as Ashe, except maybe with Elixier and if he doesn't have Elixier too (again, haven't tried). With DBlade I can hit back a bit harder, but from my experience it is not enough against many champs. Then I am left with low HP and no way to regen properly. DShield offers me some regen and the extra health, but that extra health is only there a single time, unless I get to regenerate completely. I take a bit less damage, but have significantly less regen. Boots relies on not getting hit at all, which makes it easy for several characters to zone me. The stupid attack animation also prevents me from abusing a 600 vs 550 range advantage. Longsword opening imo is clearly inferior to DBlade at least until the first time you go shopping. Btw, Regrowth now also allows you to get an HP pot. So compared to Regrowth before the patch it has become a bit stronger.

If they meant that CASTING ignite interrupts his ult, then, yeah, that's how channeling works. And ignite on Malz is bad.
