Let's go back to my original statement and make it even more clear than it was, because I know some of you have forgotten what I'm arguing in the first place. I know it. I can tell by posts drawing bizarre conclusions like this: Here's my first post. So what is a bad use of playstyle? It's an excuse for not looking hard for the correct play. Is the correct play always accessible? No, and it's not in mtg either. It can be realistically impossible to actually determine the correct play, or even theoretically impossible I guess - irrelevant. The point is that too often people make a decision that they should have thought about more because they have this idea that they should slot things into their playstyle, instead of looking for what's best. It's also a method people admitting a mistake retrospectively. I caught myself making this mistake recently in quake. Why did I make that terrible attack on RA when I had a low stack? I'm aggressive, I try to break control very actively. Well no, I did it because 'be aggressive and try to break control' is my shortcut for when I'm too lazy to actually decide whether a play is the best option. There is a 'best play' that offers the best combination of reward if it works out, punishment if it fails, and probability of success. Sometimes finding it can be abstract, to the point of ridiculousness... but you should always be trying to figure whether what you have right now is it or not. A simple test is 'is this play worse than another play I could make?' @zerg_russian: USnip, and as of a couple days ago yes. + Show Spoiler [blahblahblah] + it's like you just read the part where i insulted you and moved on. liek i said before, LoL is dynamic and not something you can calculate the rewards/punishments and therefore find the best angle of approach via statistics. that logic only applies to poker, chess , etc. Anyways, i assume the reason your argument is lacking in this thread is because you have shown no real knowledge of the actual game. Therefore my conclusion is , perhaps you know what you're talking about, and because you're still new to the game you haven't realized 1) how to explain correctly using LoL metaphors instead of MTG or chess references 5% of this thread gets 2) you haven't played enough to realize that you logic is non-applicable to a game like LoL, where everything is in real-time. That said, im pretty sure everyone's "playstyle" in LoL is to 1) not die before teamfights( feeding) while doing a- farm as much as possible b- gank as much as possible aka "playing good" So i have to ask, exactly who are you arguing against? because it seems like even if your logic applied to LoL, which it doesn't, everyone is already doing it. Like i can kinda see where you're coming from, but its just ridiculously obvious stuff. -Oh i farmed all game with kayle before, and win ezpz, i should do this every game and never gank -I went into enemy base to get their blue buff. I was successful, i should do this every-time -I am the best at playing solomid carry so i should mid every game regardless of team comp. Aka , until you give us something that actually makes sense , we're just going to agree to disagree.

You're probably playing it at an extremely low level since it's a lot more fast-paced. Dota is definitely the slowest out of the trio(Avalon Online doesn't count, I played it twice and the DotA-ripoff is completely shitty in comparison to everything, it has worse graphics than even WC3 wtf. Yes, it's the WeMadeFox game that even sponsored an MSL, a complete piece of garbage.)

By most frequent: Shaco, Amumu, Ezreal, Garen, Morgana, Warwick. No one bans Kayle that I've seen (even though they should).

Taric/Morgana/Garen are the other bans... not seeing heimer banned anymore but still seeing him do well at 1400s, shaco... not doing well, in my games atleast I think Olaf is just a strong char because he can build as a tank, and hit really hard, and most importantly immune to cc... he's one of the anti kog maw chars btw, eats koggy alive

Is he kind of meh or... hmm he has some nice synergy-possibilities =S Galio has a really strong laning phase. and then he turns into a mini-amumu so its good but not as good as amumu.

So I watched Hotshot's stream yesterday (what with the Olaf discussion I guess everyone did..). Was pretty cool seeing Loci put his own advice to practice, haha. I guess wards help Panth to gank with ult a lot, so you can either see the path they take or the path they don't. I mean, wards always help, but..
