You know as well as I do that while BR adds urgency to watching Baron, by nature of simply having WW on the other team you're already on high alert... and even if they try to 5v Baron it while you have 1 at bot more-often-than-not you're gonna be willing to 4+Baron vs 5 it, IMO prior to actual late-game when they're less likely to take significant damage from Baron.
It's an overstated advantage at higher levels of play where people aren't stupid about Baron.

It's nothing like, for instance, Shaco and BR, where if Shaco gets BR you're on superduperfucking high alert because he's getting real damn close to two-manning that crap. But that's why Shaco's retarded.

I dunno, I've not seen a WW pull off a baron snipe any better than I've seen a WW pull off a dragon snipe. To me it's a highly overstated "advantage." It's nice to have, and yes it applies positional pressure, but to bring it up as a major reason to get BR is stupid, IMO. If you're not pulling off a good early-game and everyone else in the game thinks you should be building plan B: survivability, pointing to baron advantage and saying "I'M STILL RUSHING BR FIRST" is just pure stupidity, because it's not a significant "advantage."

They never lower ip costs, only RP costs.

I have no problem with getting BR first most of the time, but if the team desperately needs a tank and/or the WW is just being pewpewpew'd, and the WW says he needs to rush BR for Baron, I'd want to curl up in a corner and cry. That's all. AFAIK 95% of the time that "advantage" won't actually amount to anything, that's just how it goes.

So with Kaylie being free this week, and all the love she gets in this thread, I thought I'd try her out. I'm low level, so no runes/masteries to speak of, and the games I've played with her so far didn't last to late game. I'm using Phrost's guide as a jumping off point for a build. I'm really not seeing the beastmode hero that people have been describing. Does that only kick in later game? Am I missing something because of runes/masteries that makes a huge difference? Or do I just not understand how to play the hero properly yet?

the changes to mm (i always read about, but dont know what exacly changed) hit me really hard.
i mostly solo queue and was used to win 2 out of 3 games at least, but now i'm happy when i win 1 out of 3. such a shit. i know its poor attitude, but i'm close to stop playing LoL. only making me angry.

Urrrgh I feel like the ladder's stabilized really suddenly because now I'm facing coordinated teams who fight over dragon and sneak baron while my team is being dumb. Or my team sneaks baron while the other team is being dumb. Either way.
Oh and this is my fourth close game in a row. For a while it was 25 minute facestomps; now it's 50 minute tense epics. Most recent one I lost to a Blitz + wards. Seriously, why does my team never buy wards? Sure, it's my responsibility as jungler to ward early on/ward their buffs, but I was already underleveled and underfarmed because of WW outjungling me (I told them to ban him but noooooo) and all lanes pushing fairly hard. I was level 13 when our Morde hit 18 and with 1/3 his CS, especially since my team never let me farm a lane ("oh look underleveled underfarmed Olaf is killing some minions! I'D BETTER GO AND HELP HIM!") and our Ashe hogged redbuff before I got even phage, our kass took blue (which I was okay with but it still hurt a little), and I spent at least 1.5k on wards, compared with my team, who spent... 240. I gave up around 30 minutes because they were 5man roaming with an oracles and blitz had freaking voodoo hooks. He never ONCE missed Ashe or Kassadin in teamfights.

Hahah, I've actually had great luck with WWs on my team, I was just saying, BR is fine but there're some games that you'll go FML because they stubbornly rushed BR.
