I'm just having trouble balancing playing LoL with all the other stuff going on in my life (including SC2, though I've hardly played that too _-_). I think I only need one page though so I guess I don't really care.

What are people's opinion on Clairvoyance as a summoner spell? I've been taking it on my jungling WW lately and its been useful for keeping my ass protected (by checking areas in the jungle people like to camp for ganks) or to keep an eye on the other teams jungler.

janna, soraka with clairvoyance in the opposing team is a huge pain in the ass

Rod of Ages and Catalyst are also not "worth the cost" until 10-15 minutes down the line yet I don't see you complaining about the slowness like I was (in fact I'm only getting RoA nowadays for the hp/mana after someone showed me EHP was the same as GA). Yet for some reason despite the terrible cost-time efficiency of RoA you seem to consider it standard, while an item for a fraction of RoA's cost that gives more consistent AP mass (if you're good) and allows you to actually carry is somehow horrible? Does not register.

Also 60 damage (40 AP) is generally not going to make or break your day.

Riot needs people to buy stuff. If they keep giving stuff away just for playing their game, they're going to fail as a business and none of us want that. The pricing is still overboard, IMO, but whatever, if they done seriously fucked up, the sales numbers will show them that they did and they'll have to adjust accordingly to appease the community, but I'm not gonna hold it against them for trying to get theirs. *shrugs*

Galio's shield (w) is absolute shit and is 100x inferior to Garen's, Janna's, Morgana's, and anyone else that has anything that resembles a shield. The only use I've found for his dumb Bulwark is to use it on himself before he uses his ultimate.

Other than that I guess his abilities are kinda cool.
I want to fuck Soulkey with a Zelderan.

Personally, I think they should charge for ranked play which would unlock all champions and give you access to runes and masteries (one page and mastery set-up per champion) while giving you access to all runes. Ultimately this levels the playing field for all players since everything becomes available to everyone. These unlocks would only be available in ranked play (so you would still need to purchase champions for the "free" normal play.

Just played my first ranked with a team of:

Garen(me), Galio, Kayle, Sivir, Morgana.

I dove so fucking bad. Their Janna denied me a bunch of kills though. Galio seems pretty fucking good to me. Really good support hero. This was a 1500~ game. It's hard to pinpoint his exact strengths with basically a full support team, he does a pretty significant amount of damage too.

How about shielding a tank while running away yourself? The tank might even just take minion/tower hits.
Dunno if this even works/makes sense, I can't find any precise stats on Gailo...

so you do seriously think that the difference between 3-0-2 and 5-0-3 is usually that extra 60 damage of burst? the main limiting factor on KDA is really just the number of opportunities to actually get kills. the number of opportunities in which the difference between being able to get a kill and not being able to get a kill is having that extra 40 AP is absolutely minuscule. Think about how many times you overkill your opponent by 100 damage and just think that this could be snowballing you to a stronger late game. On the flip side, think of how many times someone gets away with under 100 HP when you buy mejai's.

Well I don't rush AP items, I get a catalyst in place of a soulstealer, and with the lanestaying and amazing regen, the differences aren't as apparent. I don't really build for straight AP ever, so I guess that was a terrible example since I'd never just get a pure AP item first on Kass.
