I just hit level 8 in my last game and my team freaked out when they realized what level I am. I feel bad but I don't know how to solve this. Hehe it's probably a bug, if you queued with lvl 30s the server might have considered you a smurf and placed you accordingly. It happened to me aswell, back before season 1 when I was somewhere around lv 14 that I would get paired with lv 24s even after queuing with lv 30s.

Note: This is not a guide. Its more like me who need guidance.
I don't get it. My main is Cho'Gath, and I really love playing him. Yet now I've fallen in love with Anivia - so I'm saving up for her. Cho' is by far the most played hero of mine, so I've tried out a lot of different things - pure AP, pure AD, pure health, hybrids and mixes, and I've just come to find that the best thing is a mix between AP and health. So, therefore, my build is: Mana crystal + hp and mp pot Catalyst the Protector if I need to go buy, otherwise, straight rush to: Rod of Ages If their team is heavy on CC, I get Mercury Threads, if not, i get Ninja Tabi Guardians Angel If we're doing well, Mejais Soulstealer If not, I get Rylais Crystal Sceptre because i want more health and AP and the slow is just icing on the cake Then I get Force of Nature for resistance By now, the game is usually over, I prefer to just by a Giants Belt or a Needlessly Large Rod now, or save the slot for potions.
My masteries are 9/0/21, well ideally, but since I'm only level 23, its 9/0/14
I run Ghost/Clairvoyance, because Ghost is great for getting in close to get a feast, usually, gets me a kill in the laning face, and Clairvoyance because I feel its really good, and scouting for junglers and such, and no one else seems to be taking it.
I go R>Q>E>W with a single level of W at level 5, for people with channeling ults and such
This has by far been the most successful thing for me, cause pure health causes the other team to just ignore me, pure AP and AD lacks survivability I feel, and a health/AD hybrid i feel is underwhelming because i get the same damage with my Vorpal Spikes with AP.
Yet I always get called a noob for putting AP on Cho', and everytime I try to be friendly and ask them what is better, they say pure health is the only way to go, because I'm a tank and shouldnt be doing the damage. Am I doing something wrong on Cho'? Is pure health just the way to go? Please help me, TeamLiquid

Pure health on Cho actually isn't as good as Rammus for example because of Rammus's shield ability.
Cho with his passive benefits more from armor/MR. This is because for every point of damage they have to work hard to take off your HP you easily replenish with a creep kill. Armor is also a better build if you have a healer on the team for obvious reasons. Guardian's angel works just as well in both health and armor builds.
I build Cho as pure tank / disable. His spells play mind games on your opponents more than anything. Being bounced in the air, silenced, or have spikes flying in your face every hit scares the crap out of people even if you're doing no damage with them. Plus rupture with good placement and boots of swiftness will catch anyone. I don't get merc treads because I sit in the middle of the fight anyway and ignore CC... Unless I couldn't farm well which is incredibly rare.

the hero i played was ok, somewhat varied skills there was this zerg one that looked real cool it was like a moving blob that slowly built an army of zerglings/hydras around it
but what sucked about it was that there weren't item slots.. items were just like permanent buffs and all the buffs were linear just basic stat boosts.
also last hitting was kind of awkward
and the biggest problem was there was no way to recall back to base or to move quickly anywhere on the map. if you wanted to shop you had to walk all the way back and it took forever
(i suppose you could just shop when you die, but i never died)
yeah sounds more like classic dota, the last hitting is way different from lol and you can't recall in dota.
i think it's pretty cool that theres dota for sc2, it's only been out for like 3 days. i think dota sc2 will be a fun game to try, since the engine seems really capable of some nice things

Just read everything 5HIT (Zerg_Russion) has written about Cho. He's the best Cho player on TL (though I've never seen/heard of TL's top players playign Cho...) and he's tried pretty much everything.
Of course, if you're not yet even L30, you can basically ignore feedback from your teammates. They don't know what they're talking about either, and are probably going on one game they saw health Cho carry or something.

mfing cho is fun vs noobs

Frozen Mallet + Atma is a pretty nasty Cho, IIRC from when Elementz played it.

I'm a bit tired of solo queueing, is there anyone who would like to do regular 5v5 ranked games?
|
I'm psyched for SC2 dota simply because I've got more friends that play SC2 than LoL

don't be afraid of getting matched up with level 30's
you'd be suprrised to find out how incompetent people are, hell i've seen 10's better then 30's and i saw this level 21 guy who was like 2k+ unranked elo good, and he said he wasn't a smurf.

Somehow my LoL performance dropped siginificantly ever since I installed SC2 (and uninstalled SC2B before that). I didn't change anything else, and if I remember correctly there was no LoL patch since then (didn't get SC2 on release in case you are calculating now). Didn't spot any viruses either, and wouldn't know where they could come from since I did nothing that could earn me a virus during that time. Basically the game started stuttering all the time, feels awful. So I lowered my settings even more (everything set to low, framerate to 30), but I am not very pleased with 25-30 fps... My Laptop shouldn't have any trouble with installing a new game really; though I haven't formatted it ever since I bought it, it isn't really overloaded with crap yet.
Anyone else having a similar issue? I figured if it really was connected to SC2 someone on TL might have run into the same issue...

There are a few things that come to mind.
You could be low on disk space if you are not too low but still dont have a large ammount of space the data could be fragmented on your hard drive causing poor performance. ( run defrag to fix this but that takes a while so do it when your not going to play for several hrs)

( run defrag to fix this but that takes a while so do it when your not going to play for several hrs) 136GB free on System Drive, 101GB on second HDD, where both games are installed to. The LoL files also should not have been repositioned at all just because SC2 is installed (though I can't be sure with Windows...), so naturally the disk access speed should be the same as before.

we were doing this a couple of pages back. thought id throw my karthus into the mix lmao. mostly pubstomping when i hit the low-elo shitstorm when ranked came out. but, impressive nonetheless. karthus is so funny, one game i had 1200 ap (zhonyas 5 archangels staffs). one shot half their team with requiem.

arom is long as all hell, but if the ppl ur playing with are on vent/skype, it becomes mass chaos and is quite intense. Altho, my team always seems to end up with shitty laners tho....
