at the time, his shield was silly, now its just meh. Still doesnt change him tooo much imo, he basically went from THE best tank to one of the best, not a major nerf, but a small and necessary one.

not at release it wasn't. that was the overbuffing that they did. EDIT: I'm just trying to point out that while, yes, he did take a big nerf to the face, it mostly put him back where he was at release.

If anything at all needs to be nerfed on him it might simply be his AP ratios. So that things dont scale with his gear as well. If you asked me though, Heimer doesn't need to be nerfed at all, people just need to learn how to play against him. Most of his strength comes from people not knowing how to play against him properly So, exactly, how DO you play against him? This is something that I struggle with heavily. I can't do it with melee or ranged chars. Methods would be heavily appreciated.

also I've said it before and I'll say it again: Super Duper Pro Tip, Listen to Me Cuz my Elo was 2185 :p WARD GOLEMS. BOTH OF THEM. ALWAYS. GG Heim. A heim push that has to deal with mana constraints runs out of steam quite quickly.

How is he underrated? How many meaningful ults have you seen a nunu land in the last couple months? All he contributes is a few snowballs and a blood boil as support which isnt all that great. His ult can be interupted/blocked/escaped by nearly every single champion in the game, consume can only be used on minions, and his passive really doesnt help him much in terms of offensive power or survivability.

Methods would be heavily appreciated. As much as I don't want to tell people how to beat my main hero I will tell you what gives me the most trouble as heimer. Laning Phase: Ranged heroes which can focus down his (relatively weak) turrets massively hurts my ability to farm gold. This in turn makes me weaker in the later stages of the game. When he isn't mid it is often useful to have one hero "dedicated" to killing his turrets while the other last hits mobs. If you are with someone who can carry easily then this works out quite nicely. As you will no doubt take damage from wrenches while you fight the turrets the two of you can switch off who kills the turrets while the other regens HP. Heimer's turrets cost a massive amount of mana especially early on so the more you force him to replace his turrets the less aggressive he can be with his other spells. If/when he randomly disappears make sure to check the nearby blue buff to ensure he doesn't get it, wards will help you here but aren't 100% necessary. Once you can get him low on mana and without turrets you should be able to begin to push him back towards his tower (and potentially get him killed or deep-six his teammate). The same principals apply if he is mid but are a bit more difficult to pull off since you are alone so it is often (always) a good idea to try and get an early gank off on him to set him back. Mid-Game: Once the teamfights begin to break out it is important to not let heimer set-up near the battlefield. Force an engagement where his turrets aren't unless you have a hero which can deal with them easily (typically some kind of aoe like rammus or anivia or nasus). Remember that Smite can almost one shot a turret and can one shot them if you have level-advantage. If your team has a jungler make sure he knows this. I hope some of this helps you but if you can tell from the length of each section shutting heimer down must be done in the earlier stages of the game to be most effective. If he gets the items he wants (Zhonya's and Guardian Angel are popular) relatively early then he is extremely difficult to deal with. Think of Heimer as a Meching Terran. Don't let it hit the late game and catch him out of position.

About two minutes in someone from the other team asked if I was really AFK and someone from my team said yes. Three minutes later I got a triple kill in a lane as their mid came to gank our 1v2 guy. All three of them immediately rage quit... My team couldn't stop laughing. (we felt bad for the other two on that team though)
