Yeah I don't speak from a balanced perspective, I never played nor followed DotA seriously. I just miss the insanity pubbing with friends can bring. 95? heroes with what seems like many more items to work with. LoL doesn't have real pet heroes either, and I loved playing Enigma and Lycan.

seriously though, it's simply that pet heroes are harder to manage in LoL because it's not built on an RTS platform.

Well there are commands in the game to manage a pet I just feel that the game is not equipped to handle a multitude of pets as they would be difficult for the player to control.

Edit: Personally, I would like to see heimer's turrets be treated as pets because oftentimes they will sit there firing at nothing even though there are things within range of them. Many a time have I dropped a turret and it sits there wasting its super charge by not shooting at a single thing.

right, well, that's what I mean, you have no selection capabilities, so pet management is simply handled with hacky stuff like alt clicking.

Agreed, and I wouldn't mind that in exchange for an increase in control over my hero. Hell, I wouldn't even mind if they were changed to behave exactly like a Tower but i've had several instances where someone can just move in with a minion wave and attack myself or my laning partner without retaliation of my turrets. Slow from the ulti doesn't help much if they won't attack the right target.

Also, I've had many a case where they are attacking an enemy hero who is like 2 hits from death then a minion shows up and it immediately switches targets allowing the player to escape with his life. Rather frustrating indeed.

I think they should nerf heimer by reducing the max amount of turrets from 3 to 2. I bet people could still get godlike with him even then.

You're citing two cases of arguable balance improvements in comparison to the countless bug/glitch/power level fixes that they've done to this game based on player input, I just feel like it's marginalizing the effect of consensus on balance issues. Seriously, this game is better than it used to be in beta because of player input.

Nobody is saying they should disregard balance suggestions from the players. What I meant is it feels like they dream up a hero with all sorts of cool abilities and then release them without testing them. Then shortly afterwards they are hit with the nerfbat to be brought back in line with the other heroes.

I've only been playing LoL since the beginning of this year and have yet to see a new hero be released where the players have said "hey this guy is useless and completely underpowered. He needs to be buffed before he can be played" and it is almost always the exact opposite.

I see problem releasing new heroes every month. But it is probably their main income after the skins. The game keeps getting better indeed, but a lot of champions are really bad, and borderline unusable in a serious competitive level example Feedamere, Evelynn, Poppy, Veigar, Cho... and they have been untouched for almost 2-3 moths or even more I guess? Every good player knows ( I would guess Riot too) that these heroes are what they are, but nothing has been done. And some of the most recent nerfs like Pantheon were not that good. This game is getting better, but I would like to see that Riot would put more hours on champion balancing and try to make all the champions playable... even if it isn't possible. After that they can release more heroes when the core champion roster is solid.

Well considering he used to have six and he fired more missiles then he does now I'd say he has been nerfed in that area quite enough already.

If anything at all needs to be nerfed on him it might simply be his AP ratios. So that things dont scale with his gear as well.

If you asked me though, Heimer doesn't need to be nerfed at all, people just need to learn how to play against him. Most of his strength comes from people not knowing how to play against him properly
