I've been trying different builds with varying degrees of success, but I'm still fond of the Frozen Mallet build. frozen mallet is bad on shen IMO unless you have a specific reason to need the slow/damage (like... the rest of your team is 4 tanks and you're the closest they have to DPS), you're WAY better off spending that gold on a defensive item my build changes from game to game but a general non-specific guide would look like doran's shield/health pot merc treads (hopefully before 8 minutes) if you've got another 1000 gold on top of that, get a heart of gold and start ganking if not, start saving for stacked sunfires and start ganking after you get your first sunfire you should always be pushing a lane when your ult is up if they're magic damage heavy, banshee is priority for the HP and magic resist. force of nature last item because it gives no HP bonus, you need to stack some HP first pray the game doesn't go into late-late game because shen is a terrible terrible late game hero. his tanking power just evaporates against any farmed carry and he's got no real DPS. your best plan is to win the game early | ||

i have recently had a change of heart, and if you can get that extra 1000 gold quickly, i must cede that it is a good early-game investment  aegis is also an incredibly good starting item that will give you all the magic resist you need until late game (combined with mercs), i approve of that build | ||

Btw Cho is a bitch to lane against with Panth. If u dont kill him early it becomes really hard to harass him. He just ignores ur spears lol. Then sets u up for a gank with knock-up.. | ||
