I personally don't like rushing FoN, but lots of other Mordes do... so who knows.
I open with regen bead + 6 pots, (can get a ward at start too if ur team lacks jungle). First trip back get wardens/boots.
Omen -> merd treads -> FoN or sunfire depending on what u need. Then build the other.
After that just wing it depending on enemy/your team. Need more MR? stack abyssal scepter. Need armor? You have lotsa choices, etc.

best way to play morde:
flat armor runes, go mid.
Rape their ranged carry and buy EVEN more armor , chain, HoG, tabi, etc.
keep raping their ranged carry
establish complete control from midgame
lose anyways no matter how far ahead you are late game !

I usually always open with at least one sunfire and then as with all tanks, build situationally based on the opponent's comp. His W when it's max'd is already literally like 2 sunfires, so his farming while already ridiculous, becomes even more silly.
I personally hate Warmogs and health stacking, I see so many goddam mords open Warmogs. Frozen Mallet is too expensive, in my opinion but I think Frozen Mallet also works for his ghost whereas Rylai's doesn't. (not 100% on this)
Key situational items though: Randuins, Sunfire, FoN.
Also things to note: taking mid is hilarious when you don't have a jungler or their jungler isn't on top of things, you can clear the wraith camps in about 3 seconds giving you level 6 ahead of their mid carry (ult/ignore,hit once and they usually run dying)
Edit: I forgot I usually run MR/L runes on mord which is why I opt for sorc boots and at least one sunfire as my core.

but you shouldnt get rylas on morde ,ever, so it doesnt matter!

The only effective way to deal with I've found is to completely ignore people if they are being tards. If you can stand it, don't ingame ignore them, they might still say something relevant about the game, but just don't listen to any of their bullshit. Discussing with these morons has no point, because they don't understand ethics that doesn't stem directly from their adrenaline. Just think of nice people you know so you won't lose your faith in the human race completely, and ignore the idiots. I'm not kidding -.-.

E is Siphon, right? Yeah. I max his shield over siphon just because it does more damage and you can throw it on creeps to deny/harass as well. Since you push their tower (most likely) you can just throw it on a creep, preferrably the siege creep to get more creep kills/charge shield/deny melee champs. Dunno. How I roll.

I don't think Flash will nerf anyone nearly as bad as Twitch. Playing as Twitch, having Cleanse and Flash up for a fight allows you to soak up that last CC that wasn't blown and reposition to a safer spot so you can keep the hurt going with your ultimate. It will be much easier to stick on you now and your team will have to be that much more zealous about protecting your ass.
I can understand that Flash is often total BS (getting away from a 4 man gank with someone already stuck on you is retarded), but Flash is also an incredible offensive tool. Garen, Rammus, Galio, Amumu, Morgana etc. all use Flash offensively if they can. Losing those cool offensive uses is gonna be pretty sad because I'm sure that all those guys will be getting Merc Treads unless they are really stupid or up against a joke team.
On the other hand, Kassadin is buffed a lot (total plus) and people that do stupid shit in their lane get nerfed a lot (total plus). Udyr's coming to get you. Be afraid.

Cool attitude. It's personal preference, it's not like you WON'T have siphon to use. Just means W will be a rank or two above Siphon. Let's all pigeonhole into our gamestyles and then freak out when someone offers a different perspective. It's worked fantastically for me and I'd like to think I play a pretty decent Mord. My opinion, your opinion, next song.

you get red instead of frozen mallet cuz this way u can catch people with ur e/w/r. and then u kill them to death.
by the time u finish ur triforce usually ur q is at a decent level so u can mace of spades everybody for 1000000 damage.

trinity force
if game isnt over, randuins
if game still isnt over, abyssal scepter
if game still isnt over, rylais
game ends
by the way run ghost/ignite always, unless ur brave like me, cuz i go ghost/flash.
