New veigar is awesome, also AP shaco relies on your opponents being bad.



Also to above, +damage is the very worst rune in the entire game, +apen is the best.

+ damage flat quints have niche uses, namely to open with both parts of akali's passive and on characters who scale certain abilities off of AD to do Magic damage (like Kat's bouncing blades). they're still probably never optimal, but it's not like it's 100% armor pen quints > flat damage quints, more like 99%.

on marks though, the damage ones are soooo negligible, you're always better with penetration.

I am so happy with the Gangplank changes. The change to attack damage rather than attack speed really really helps him - mostly because it now has a lot of synergy with his parley.. With Youmoo's GP has all the attack speed he needs. The best part is the fact that his parley cannot be dodged anymore. It makes him a hell of a lot more reliable to play also and 10000x less frustrating.

The changes to his ult make it slightly more reliable - maybe? I can't really tell, it's still quite random. I think it hits more now, but I'm not sure. Overall yeeeess good job Riot! The past 4 games I've played with him I felt a lot more in control with him.

man i haven't seen like 1 kogmaw really do anything so far

just played a game, we won in 20 minutes their mid kogmaw was 0-6 at the end of the game.

their mid kogmaw was also dan dinh haha.

i think kogmaw eventually will become a decent mid-low tier champ once people begin to figure him out. he seems pretty powerful, just people are new to him.

i always wondered about crits in this game. it seems like every other game ive played, crits never miss and pierce armor. i realize that wouldnt really work in this game because its abit too easy to get crit chance. but i think that would make it more dynamic than the plain double dmg crit.

that could just be people being lazy and not practicing with the champ before que-ing up.

i wouldn't change crit. if you change it it could be more frustrating then it already is. lololol lvl 1 mundo crits you on tt with masochism for 9001.

this game is rng enough already, i don't want to make crit more dynamic lol.

what do you think about veigar changes ? I was pretty excited at first but it seems that he is even worse than before. The ult which was one of his few god stuff is much less deadly.

Yeah but with a lot of the newer heroes not having any mana, they needed to do *something* to change how his ult worked.

His ult can still hit you for ridiculous damage o.o;

he went from an OK niche character who was completely useless the rest of the time to a universally underwhelming character.

as one who at least could be a huge pain in the ass sometimes, I think being generally UP is a step backwards from conditionally acceptable.

I think there are less heroes without mana than heroes without lot of AP...

before : 1.2 AP ratio + 25% mana of the oppenent or flat damage (200+) if no mana
now : .8 AP ratio + .8 AP ratio of your oppenent

since it's very likely that Veiger will have much more AP than his oppenent, in every case it does much less damage ...

someone somewhere did some number crunching that showed even if the champ didnt have any mana or used energy, veigers ult still used to do as much or more dmg.

Especially with the no-mana damage bonus (~300) that they implemented in the previous patch.

I'm pretty sure they were just really afraid of "overbuffing" him, as they had with Udyr, Ez and now Kayle. As much as I'd love to see every champ balanced and viable, I'd rather have a crappy character that I don't have to deal with rather than an overpowered one that I see 2 of in every game. My thinking is that Riot's giving him a very niche anti-caster role which may not be to useful in blind pick may be a good idea in draft games where you can counter-pick someone like Annie. That said, he probably won't be played every by an smart teams, but I think if Riot buff him a bit without reworking him and let him keep his niche then he can be a viable surprise last pick.
