![]() Type: Point-and-click horror adventure game Setting: Sci-Fi Languages: English, German (voices, subtitles exist for other langauges I think) Single player: Yes, only Multi-player: None Available platforms: Windows, possibly others - dunno System requirements: Dunno, not high ![]() Studio Trophis' debut public production, the white chamber, is a point and click horror adventure game. Explore a strange environment crafted in luscious 2D. Control a trapped young woman from 3rd person perspective as she solves puzzles and overcomes the twisted obstacles in her path. A young girl wakes to find herself inside a strange glowing coffin, in a dark room. Who is she? What is this place? Why is she here? As she explores the warped environment she finds herself trapped within, she must search for answers, all of which will lead her closer and closer to the white chamber and the truth it holds. The game is not very long (I would guess 4-6 hours), but very atmospheric. The White Chamber ![]() Star Control 2 / Ur-Quan Masters Type: Space-sim-adventure game? Setting: Sci-Fi Languages: English - probably others as well but I don't know. Single player: Yes, only Multi-player: None Available platforms: Windows, Mac, Linux, BSD, others... System requirements: Dunno, not high ![]() A complete remake of an old, old, old game called Star Control 2. This is one of the funniest games I've ever played, I think watching the below youtube videos would show the game off much better than I ever could: + Show Spoiler + Star Control 2

This game still technically ISN'T freeware, unfortunately. Also the first one for DOS isn't as well though there is a freeware demo version for both JJ1 and 2. Now for a contribution: This database has almost all (over 1000) shmup games in a nice convenient database. The site is kinda buggy since I don't know how frequently it is updated, but it isn't bad. I have to plug Galcon here: http://www.galcon.com/ It is multiplayer RTS simplified down to it`s barebones Strategy. Very addicting and very fun to play. It`s like Go of RTS. Takes a minute to learn, a lifetime to master.

Pretty awesome game, which reminds me (not to be too off-topic) - I really like seeing that I'm 1,455,198th in the world out of 3,000,000+. Seeing my ranking within my state is also pretty awesome. Learn a lesson blizzard ![]() You are probably just comparing this to the bnet divisions and the lack of a world ranking system, but I'd just like to point out that trackmania rankings are pretty much meaningless ![]() I don't want to turn this thread into a TM orgy.. but it's nice to see fellow players ![]() I'd also like to point out to others that the trailer can be a misleading lol. It almost makes the game out to be some type of stunt and unserious/uncompetitive type of game, but I can assure it is not(although there are "freestyle" players and leagues). The game is unrealistic and arcadey, but the racing is real(depending on game mode, finish 1st or win with the best time). Anyway the game is highly competitive at the top.
