Perkins was able to guard Dwight one-on-one a lot in the playoffs last year, and is able to do about as good a job on him as anyone. I remember DET being a nightmare matchup for ORL before the blew the team up, in large part because Sheed defended Dwight very well. Combine the two, and I expect Dwight will have a hard time of it in this series.
Carter is infamous for his aversion to contact and physicality, and you can be sure that BOS, who is already one of the more physical teams in the league, is going to try to exploit that. After having to deal with Lebron already, I can't imagine Carter posing the same challenge or being as effective.
Nelson has been ORL's best player in the postseason, but BOS has one of the best defensive PGs in the league in Rondo. I can see Rondo effectively guarding Nelson, but I can't see it the other way around. Having Dwight behind him will help Nelson a lot, but I can't help but feel Rondo will be able to do whatever he wants with Nelson on him.
KG vs. Shard = Nuff said.
However, with all that said, ORL did sweep BOS during the regular season. While it's certainly arguable that the Celtics are playing better now than they were all season, you can make that same argument for the Magic as well. I think it'll be a very entertaining series and interesting to see if the regular season dominance for ORL carries over. It'll also be interesting to see if ORL having such an easy path to the ECF factors in because the disparity between BOS and ATL/CHA is huge, at least in comparison to ORL and CLE/MIA in my opinion.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. One key factor I liked to mention is Bench play, if BOS can get the same production from their bench like they did in the series against the CAVS and shut down ORL's bench, look forward to BOS 4-2'ing it again.

Boston seems really streaky and needs momentum to perform well. I think the cleveland series might have helped out in that sense, so we will have to so, but Orlando is playing so good right now.

It's gonna be one hell of a series that's for sure

In reality Lebron badly needed another superstar in his team to lit him up a little bit, like MJ had Pippen, Kobe have Shaq or Gasul. et. al. so bring on Wade and Nowitski

I actually think Nowitzki would be a dream teammate for either Wade or Lebron. He doesn't play in the low post, which leaves the middle open for Wade or Lebron to drive. His perimeter shooting spaces the floor and will keep defenses honest. He is one of the most efficient players in the league in terms of %s and TO rate, which allows him to be effective without dominating the ball, which both Wade and Lebron do. He is a tremendous offensive player who plays decent defense, and he rarely misses games. Who wouldn't want him to be on their team?

People with the perception that he is "soft" offensively/defensively. The same people who vastly underestimate the nightmare of a MU that Dirk is. Too bad Cuban would roll over dead before he let Dirk walk.
Wade sure. Lebron, no, not after that Game 5, Dirk deserves better.

So it's easier to adjust to mistakes game to game and get used to how they are playing you. Coupled in with the fact that the mentality is no longer "win to secure a spot in the big dance" but "win or go home" and you see why some players up their game. Coast in the season to avoid injury or rest, and go haywire in the playoffs. This, and teams actually play defense in the playoffs.

lebron can go to miami, why dismiss it. It's a party place. Plus he's really tight with wade from what I heard.

Lebron's best bet is to go to either Chicago or the Nets. Chicago is potentially dangerous with Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah with decent support players to help out Lebron. But if the Nets is able to get Bosh/Stoudemire with Lebron, and have Lopez and the #1 pick, they could be dangerous a few years down the stretch.

I don't see why people think CHI is such a great fit for Lebron. The best players there are Rose and Noah, neither of whom compliment his game particularly well. Rose is a ball-dominating scoring PG who does most of his damage on his drives and in the paint. Change the position to SF and that's Lebron. Add in Noah who has no offensive game to speak of unless he's right under the basket.
I see the Nets as I do the Knicks, i.e. destinations where Lebron would have to start completely over with no established foundation. The Nets at least have Lopez, but there isn't another player on that team that I would see as a cog in a championship team. Harris has the same problems complimenting Lebron as Rose, except he's less talented, effective, and more injury-prone. The Knicks have... Lee? I don't see why Lebron would want to go to either destination just to be in the same situation he was in when he arrived in CLE. The only exception would be if either team were able to somehow get Bosh to join him at the same time.

Then he needs to go to miami if thats the case, I think Dirk might go to Phoenix to re unite with Nash. That would be awesome

Lakers 4-2 over Suns Orlando 4-3 over Celtics Lakers 4-3 over Orlando why would lebron want to go to the nets from a competitive standpoint? the nets don't have jack for lebron.

They are very easy to build around. Tons of cap space, developing young players. They very likely have the #1 pick.
God I hope he doesn't go to NY the arrogance of NYK fans will be unbearable.

what arrogance ?
Our team has sucked for a while now, and even with lebron +1, we'd only still be a "good" team at best. Of course some stupid fans will go into "in your face!!!!" mode to other people, but I think most reasonable knicks fans will just weep silently in joy if we get lebron without causing much hassle -_-

I think Rose has a ways to go before he's proven he's as good as people think he is, but he has a very good outside jumpshot. He wouldn't be afraid to step up, which people think is the biggest flaw of Lebron's cast.
Cap space doesn't assure jack. If I were Lebron, I'd consider the Bulls and Dallas. Dallas has a respectable coach, you know Cuban will do everything he can to win, and they could sign and trade Lebron and recreate the Washington Wizards in Cleveland.

If I were Lebron, I'd unite with Wade and Bosh in MIA with all three taking a bit less than they normally would so they can surround themselves with a solid supporting cast. Basically, follow the BOS model, except do it earlier in their careers. The only concern would be Wade and Lebron learning to share the ball because both are so used to dominating their respective offenses so completely, but their Team USA experience should help them out there.
Either that or join up with Dirk somewhere, because I really think Dirk paired up with either Wade or Lebron would be an absolutely sick combination.

Man, if those 3 game together it's pretty much a wrap for the rest of the league. Lebron is pretty unselfish though so maybe him and wade might just work.
