artest is usually not a bad free-throw shooter. i have no idea why he is struggling so much this series.

Laker's d wasnt so good, and their rebounding sucks. In the third quarter, they had an easy chance to take the lead because Kobe was on fire...but absolutely no stops from the lakers.
sigh...we'll beat you guys at home...it'll make the victory much sweeter.

It actually did, you can even see the net move. Okay suppose it did...but every replay they showed could go either way. The referees made the first call that it was lakers ball. If they had the same replays as the commentators, they just do not have concrete evidence to overturn the call. The ball changing spin and direction in mid air isn't concrete evidence? Physics don't lie. There were two angles where you could clearly see the ball change in spin before it is anywhere near the glass.

lakers sucked it up, especially on defense, for most of the game. if it weren't for kobe's heroics they could have been down 20 going into the fourth quarter. time to clean things up in game 6. that's that. see u then!

Thats all him...who knows where the game could have gone after that. EDIT: nothing saying their defense was bad...but the free throws should have been made. I don't know bro, when Artest went to the line his % was 55%, I was hoping it was true so he'd miss one but who would have thought he would miss both... Maybe him and Vince Carter can get together later. Its true his percentage is 55%, not cant do anything about that...but seriously BOTH free throws?
Yep god, if Celtics win this finals, I'd think they have to send gift baskets to him and Vince Carter.

It hit the glass and then went in another direction. The ball was behind the net.
There's no way to prove that without a replay. We could argue for days and find out absolutely nothing without a replay. Fan-boyism would overwhelm us. See ya at home.

Artest is getting paid for making us lose. He's like savior but the only difference is that he's actually really bad.

LOL I love your SC analogy, oh god I'm cracking up here. Knock on wood. I hope he doesn't get a miracle turn-around and go off in game 6.

Stat of the night: Bryant: 38 pts. Gasol: 12 pts. 7 Lakers players not named Bryant/Gasol: 36.

That ball clearly hit the rim... I thought it missed initially, but the replay showed it clipping the back of the rim. Looked pretty clear cut to me. Glad Rondo made that layup towards the end. Celts were looking like choking on a epic scale.
Game 6 will be really interesting. Massive pressure on both teams.
Lakers really struggling now Bynum's fitness is failing. Dunno which way to go, but I'll take the Lakers.. Just.

Great win from Celtics but Kobe was doing it all. Paul Pierce and Kobe were on fire in the 3rd (especially Kobe) but we'll see what happens in game six. Hopefully the Celtics can take it.

If you watched the Celtics defensive plan, they wanted Kobe to take all those perimeter shots one on one as long as they could actively deny passes into the paint. He did really well at it, but apparently they felt they had enough of an advantage that they didn't need to change the game plan. They didn't start doubling or put Tony Allen on Kobe in the 3rd quarter. The 2006 Lakers can't consistently win playoff games. Their biggest problem was when Lamar would get those automatic <10 foot floaters.
I was curious about this, and I think it was because they were happy capitalizing on feeding Ray Allen under the basket, where he could use his length best against Fisher.
Game 6 isn't an automatic win for either team. The Lakers are really good at home, but the Celtics beat Cleveland 2 to 1 on the road and Orlando 2 to 1 on the road.
