Y = EVs gained from Pokemon With no item or Pokerus = y With Macho Brace = y • 2 With Macho Brace & Pokerus = y • 4 With Power Item = y + 4 With Power Item & Pokerus = (y + 4) • 2 Yep. Something that would normally give 1 EV gives 10 EVs with power item + pkrs, 2 -> 12, 3 -> 14.

Is anyone working on completing the pokedex already? I know I am and I'm pretty much done, only missing the White exclusive pokemon. Anyone willing to help?

Right now I'm playing as a bug catcher, just sucks that I need to get to 2nd gym before I can catch a bug type pokemon... but ya. After this going to play though as: - (poke enthusiast) Only 1 pokemon + flying mule - (go go ratata) Catch something before 1st gym and treat as my starter - (poke fanatic) catch 6 of the same pokemon and use only them all game, never having a 5 lvl difference between any two of them - (naturalpath) No potions - (meiser) never buy anything in store dunno in what order though...
Do them all at once (excluding poke enthusiast) 6 patrats, not potions, never buy anything in store

I also have several pokemon stored in my box with Pokerus if anyone is willing to trade for them. I also have white version and all the white specific pokemon. (Gen 5, as im just at the E4 for the first time).
Message me if willing to trade, battle, etc. Im looking for shiny's or fully evolved strong pokemon at a high level. If anyone wants to battle, I have a full party at level 50 currently.

Just beat the second round of Elite Four... Alder is a freaking joke lol. Accelgor bug buzzed my Volcarona and did 0 damage, and I took Rough Skin damage from Druddigon... didn't take any other damage all battle. Way to use weak shitty Pokemon, champion.
All that's left now is Cynthia and that Morimoto guy, although the latter is also really easy.

Is there a guide or a thread on another forum on how to create a legal/legit pokemon through pokesav? Tried myself for a few hours but ended up getting a headache.. (hex value/PID/IV/Nature/ability etc.)
It's so confusing! Someone willing to help me out? Thanks. Anything created by pokesav is considered "not legit." Between the "not legit," you have "possible" and "impossible" though. Also, the elemental monkey traded for the mouse guy is a bad trade if you consider the rarity... minccino or w/e can be found very easily in the wild later on while the monkeys are EXTREMELY hard to find. There are enough PID/IV generators so that this process should be a snap. I don't know of course if the pseudo RNG on Pokemon changed since DPPt, but assuming they are the same, then you can just match PID with the IV/Gender/Ability/Nature combination and you should be set. But note that this only matters for very certain types of Pokemon -- ie, Pokemon that are caught in the wild. Pokemon that are bred can have PID and IVs that don't match, for example, since Breeding passes down IVs that can distort it. Further more there are "junk bits" that Pokesav clears out, so you can *sometimes* tell if the Pokemon is legit by looking at the junk bits. Dunno if this system has ever been checked researched but IIRC this is one thing Pokesav does that makes it noticeable. Also note that any Wondercard/Event Pokemon with standard PID/IV combinations are probably also illegal, since iirc Wondercard uses its own PID/IV algorithm, dunno if that has been researched over all. Same thing with certain event GBA pokemon, but i guess no one cares about that anymore since they're available over DS anyway. But yeah "not legit" and "legit" is a very very blurry line since people do questionable shit to generate perfect Pokemon anyway (RNG abuse, for example), so in the end it doesn't matter that much. I don't know (nor do I care) if Nintendo has any more hack checks built in but in general if you know what you're doing you can generate perfect hacks quite easily I think there's been enough confirmation that in Gen V, PID is no longer tied to anything else except the gender and ability of the pokemon. so IVs, nature etc... those can all be changed independent of the PID - something to do with the RNG being weakly correlated with those variables, I'm not too sure as I'm no expert on the subject myself. of course you can change all the IV #'s to 31, but some natures only allow for a certain ceiling in the IV.
I think as long as you're not doing anything like that, as in outside the realm of possibility, it's fine... like not creating pokemon that has stats that it cannot have via catching or breeding, movesets that are impossible for a pokemon to learn etc. some people would rather spend time on formulating a good team that meshes rather than spend hours trying to breed the perfect IV set or EV train everything, just to find out that their strat is outdated for the current metagame.
that said, I'm still doing the egg breeding stuff lol...

PID in general wasn't even checked in actual nintendo events. They pretty much only checked the EVs, moves, and abilities. But now that PID is only to ability, it makes things very easy to hack, which is a bad thing for people who hate hackers. lol

I have a team of level 58s and I only got 0-3'd by cynthia with no items, though I admit I had to predict her smoking hot ass a lot

The same as Dialga and Palkia from DPPt Most Legendaries (the trios, Kyurem, any legendary not integral to the story) have a catch rate of 3. Hell the Pseudo-Legendaries in this game (Metagross, Tyranitar, Dragonite, Milotic) all have catch ratings of 3. Victini, too. Fucking victini and its cach rate of 3 at a point in the game when you only have Great Balls and limited status effects at your disposal. I guess if you actually leveled a patrat you'd have hypnosis, but I didn't.
Add the fact that I was trying for a modest or timid Victini and had to re-catch a whole bunch of times. Took me all day Couple times I ran entirely out of pokeballs!

I created a dummy game in which I sent myself masterballs... let's just say it took a long time to get one (50 trades lol). I'm gonna have to do it again for a few of the other legendaries so I can get other good natured legendaries

Basically, if you have Volcarona you can 6-0 Alder and Cynthia since they both lead with pokes that have no offensive power at all so you can just +6 quiver dance if you're having problems . Although Spiritomb does tend to spam Double Team a lot so that gets annoying.

Dang it i was excited to see volcarona can learn a lightning move, (a fire pokemon knowing a lightning move?? sweet right?)
But it's a physical attack and has recoil =(

I caught Kyurem on the 3rd ultra ball with no status effects. Was kinda gay considering I had a defensive item, used X-def, etc on Zekrom preparing to toss like 40 balls out before I caught him. Actually caught him up the turn after using an x-def.
I went in there with like 90 ultra balls and 80 hyper potions expecting a long, arduous process because one of the other guys took like 35 min to catch (one of the other 3 legendary pokemon).

Why would you teach Volcarona a lightning move?
Quiver Dance/Fire Blast/Bug Buzz/HP Ground...or HP Ice.... or if running a sun team.. Morning Sun.
With a Life Orb you have an awesome sweeper.

Too bad Kyurem is just a subpar Palkia It's the first master of a mascot trio that sucks so much. I'm quite pissed about that, it has great movepool but crappy stat distribution.
