For serious:
Picked up Black and White earlier this week to play with my g/f, and so far its been just a nostalgic joy-ride.
Never was super-competitive (and don't really have the time to be with all the SC2 stuff I've got going on) but all the chat here really makes me want to look into all that stuff.

Haha, there's a whole world of pokemon that you don't want to get into... or maybe you do. The mechanics are really simple, competitive pokemon is basically being familiar with the moves and types, then being good at prediction.

You forgot the part where you mindlessly grind for the right pokemon, ivs, evs and moves.

So many hours wasted trying to get everything just right, then id decide to build a new team a couple weeks later

Sorry something was in my throat. Pokemon Online is a very useful program if you want to check out competitive battling, and then lurk on smogon to get a general idea of it.

Yeah, I was referring more to online battle simulators. I am in the process of breeding a nice modest reuniclus though ;D (100+ hours in plat to get a perfect atk/spd IV flygon, had 5 or 6 boxes of trapinches lmfao)
Hey guys, I need help. I got 8 badges but my pokemons are too low of a level. Is there any good place to level my pokemons except for grinding victory road? Victory road is really slow .
Yeah, theres only a few special attack sweepers, Hydreigon, Chandelure, Volarona (though he would easily die to rockslide, or any regular phys attack), beheeyem (somewhat), and zoroark.
The best one's from that list I think will be Hydreigon ad Chandelure. Ridinculus has a very good moveset though but I can think of a bunch of sweepers who would be able to ace it.

Both the Bold CM set with Max HP/Def/Leftovers and something along the lines of CM/Recover/Psychic (or Psycho Shock)/Shadow Ball (or HP Fighting or whatever for coverage), as well as the LO Trick Room Sweeper set are very effective.

Seems Like focus blast would be a must for him though with the abundance of Dark physical attack sweepers, I think even with max defense he would get 2hko'd at the least by most of them. Personally I'm not a fan of slow sweepers, I would personally go with the trick room variation. Switch him in and then anticipate the opponent switching to something else while you trick room and then hopefully own him with a focus blast lol.

My own experience with him is only with the E4, but I was able to OHKO the one that Caitlin uses using Swords Dance + Night Slash with Bisharp. If it was able to get a Focus Blast off though it was an easy OHKO for it on both of my Dark types even without STAB (Bisharp (4X damage due to Steel/Dark though) , Hydreigon)
These random battles are driving me crazy, need to buy repels lol. Im at chargestone cave and it slike... battle... 5 steps.... battle, run.... 5 steps. rince repeat
Also with this bike i keep taking 2 steps when I want to take one... lol
Is there a way to check to see if your pokemon is fully EV'd? Similar to the effort ribbon in previous games? I've been EV training Drilbur for a day now on route 1 and 3 for atk and speed and I can't really tell if he is fully EV'd or not
You know that feeling when you just beat three badges, evolved your joltik, and evolved your cubchoo then your ds shuts off because your battery ran out. Then you remember... "Oh shit I didn't save." FUCK MY LIFE ><
