I bought it, played for about 4 hours and haven't touched it - Got a week off school soon so contemplating giving the game a shot! Personally I didn't find that it had the depth or the character that Civ IV had. I'm not a huge fan of the hugeness of the UI that almost looks like it was designed for the visually impaired. Multiplayer had animations disabled and the chat box was put in a really terrible place. I got a good amount of fun out of it, it just hasn't had as much longevity for me as Civ IV did.

The AI is ACTUALLY SMART NOW. The enjoyment is just 500x more exciting now. The AI doesn't ram units endlessly into you and dying, it actually is fucking smart. It doesn't just ICS, it values small and powerful cities. It does not go to war over stupid shit. Maintenance costs are fixed. The list never ends. I'm actually enjoying this more than Civ 4 BTS :D

The implementation of paying for DLC is a trend I absolutely despise. Ten years ago, this is stuff that would have been included for free, and now pretty much every gaming company has a long-term DLC plan for trying to milk out more money from people years after the game is released. I abhor it, really.

Watching The Pacific right now, so can't open up Civ 5 but off the top of my head: * Emigration - Citizens (City Pop) move from Unhappy Civs to Happy Civs * Total Mod (Alpha) - http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=397878 * Tall Empire - http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=414459 * City State Diplomacy - http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=392543 * Reduced Maintenance - Balances building maintenance * Enhanced Golden Age - Great Person Birth, Adopting Culture Policies and high Culture also attribute to Golden Age progression, not just happiness Some more I can't think of, but that's all you really need to be honest

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=420592 The Denmark Civilization and Scenario Pack brings you both the Denmark Civilization and the new Scenario, 1066: Year of Viking Destiny, to further enhance your Civilization V experience. Rule the world as Harald Bluetooth, with your powerful Berserker warriors and Ski Infantry! WTF Ski Infantry?
