But my level 6 account with no runes and barely any masteries just got matched up with all level 30's last game (my team and their team) and we won. And our Zilean went attack damage. Ahh looks like the fun is over. | ||

Since they split slows with multiple effects into multiple buffs, I'm guessing slow reduction shouldn't affect the DoT duration for Noxious Trap. On a totally different note, the other day I faced a Ryze who appeared to have Desperate Power activated until he died (I was laning against him and he was in my vision range with it activated for longer than 8 seconds). I thought it might be just a graphic bug, but his AP also appeared to be boosted. Has anyone else seen this oddity? | ||

for boots, I can't tell if I'm actually supposed to get treads with him. it seems like when you activate his ult, it busts all CC, so it seems like maybe boots of mobility would be better, but again, I can't really tell just how greedy you can get with his item build because of his stupid ult. last night I was playing with a group of dudes that I barely know and they were constantly bitching about how broken Ryze and Warwick are (we lost a few team games to warwick/ryze teams, they weren't very good at the whole team fighting thing) and it made me lol. then they invited me to do a 5v5 practice game that I completely stomped with Sivir and one of the guys on the other team was bitching about how fiddlesticks was broken (despite it being me that raped them, our fiddle had like 4 kills) and he wasn't going to play any more if our team had a fiddlesticks and it devolved into some middle school type drama over skype, lol (they're college kids, I'm 2 years out of college for reference). don't think I'll be playing with them anymore :p. | ||

the graphics, seriously wtf? do you guys really enjoy the graphics? its just so.... disney and sega-ish. can someone explain to me why you would prefer LoL over HoN? whats the pro's? i only see cons but that's me. would be interested to hear from someone who played both LoL and HoN | ||

Owww... Well, LoL is way less dota-like so if you are expecting DOTA2 go play HoN, map seems kinda smaller in LoL, there's way bigger focus on ganks/teambattles, and there are bushes. I can't imagine coming back to dota just because of bushes alone lol. Also every hero has "special passive ability", which makes them even more unique and of course it's totally matter of preference which heroes suit your style. I didn't like any of HoN heroes (and found the way you play the game a little less exciting) but immediatelly found 3 heroes that suited my style so i've stick with LoL. You just have to try to play the game, not look at the game, because argument that "i don't enjoy the graphics" is not a good argument for ignoring any game. Don't judge a book by it's cover | ||

The graphics are fine, personally, as I find it rather stylish. Can't say I pay too much attention when the game is on, though. That's just how it goes. Should be the case for most people here, as this is a Starcraft forum. As for pros of LoL > DotA/HoN, as has been mentioned a zillion times already (maybe I should edit this sort of thing into my first-page post for easy reference?) It's a lot faster-paced, by design (faster cooldowns, faster mana regen), isn't dominated by lane control heroes because of the lack of creep denial (although you can still "deny exp" by pushing them out of exp range), and the devs put a tremendous amount of effort into balancing heroes. It'll never be perfect; that's just how this sort of game goes, but it's far, far more balanced than DotA ever was, and I routinely hear HoN being as good as DotA when it comes to that spectrum. Brush (grass) is also a mechanic that's hard to let go of. The biggest con would be the prevalence of 5-man gank-squads in the current meta, but for most people/games this won't occur as quickly as top-tier competitive matches and shouldn't be as big of a problem. Would still love to see this rectified, though. But if you wanna watch gritty, high-quality graphics, this obviously isn't your game. Edit: Beaten by the poster above <3 Also, yeah, Disney is awesome, so screw you.  Edit2: Likewise, it is hard to go back to DotA/HoN after playing LoL, personally. The speed of game is killer. For instance, Blitzcrank, the LoL hook-shot hero, can fire his hook like 4-5 times without any break in between before running out of mana, even more if he bothers setting up utility/mana regen utilities and/or runes, and further more if he's laned with someone that bought an item to give him mana. Meanwhile in DotA, Pudge would hook like twice and be out of mana. And ofc bottle isn't much of a help in that regard, so you'd hook twice, bottle up, hook a third time, then have to go back. Meanwhile my memory of DotA/HoN is laning for like 5 minutes before you can set up a single kill-combo with a teammate, unless you're using a double-stun/nuke combo or something. Oh not to mention with Pudge you have to wait until level 6 to reliably kill anything, whereas Blitz can kill crap at level 2. Especially with a lane partner. | ||

3v3 benefits 1v1Heroes that are considered overshadowed in 5v5 like Mundo since CC is now a real tradoff to Damage. Pushers are also a lot better since the distance between the Towers is greater than the River in Summoners. This obviously is no solution to the problems in 5v5 but at least there is a alternative. | ||
