Yeah. You should probably play with people in a similar range to you as well. We'll have enough decent TL players eventually that it should be easier to make teams.

Well whenever Riot feels like enabling the Ranked games feature, we'll be able to see our ELO's so we'll be able to base it around that as well.

Any other Cho players here? I've been doing mana manipulator -> ninja tabi -> Warmog's -> Force of Nature or Sunfire Cape but I've been wondering if there are any other builds. I know you can do an AP Cho build but I think it's too dangerous vs a lot of heroes (Ryze, Twitch, Eve, Trynd, Blitz, Yi) because they can kill you so fast and you lose all your feast stacks.

Oh and also it would be good if we had a list of heroes that people play to go along with the AKA list, that way we could form teams and dominate the inevitable clanwars.

AP Cho is good if there is already another initiating tank such as Rammus, Malphite, Amumu etc. AP Cho just fills the role of a very durable burst caster. With about 300 AP you can nuke 2k dmg with ur rupture, feast, scream. Just open with a Sapphire Crystal + 2 hp pots into Catalyst + lvl 1 boots and then finish ur Rod. After that it's up to you.

Chogath is my secondary main, I AP with him all the time. I'm currently level 21

I'd go:

Sapphire Crystal+2 health pots when you first spawn (Gives you mana for rupture, don't spam rupture, save it only for enemy heroes. This should make heroes wary of approaching you)
Make sure you last hit creeps, you should never be really outlaned even against ranged heroes as last hitting creeps will restore your health, this plus your pots you should be in your lane for a long time. This is the reason you don't need a health regen item in the beginning like regrowth or dorans.

First time you go back to base:

Build catalyst of the protector. Now youre even harder to outlane. Everytime you level up you regain health+mana. This item alone makes you really hard to kill early game.

Then build boots. Against stun/slow heavy/magic teams, take Mercury treads. Otherwise take sorceress shoes.

Build rod of ages: Combine the catalyst you already have into this. Now you have AP to comfortably rupture, silence, and feast on people all day. You feel pretty badass at this point.

From this point, if you feel pretty untouchable, get Rylai's scepter. Your rupture will slow them even before the spikes come out. It also gives you even more HP/AP. Otherwise, get a defensive item such as Banshee Veil or Guardian Angel.

Your goal is to burst people down fast. Play conservatively until you get a hero down to like half life. Then rupture, silence, feast and they should be dead in seconds. Remember not to try and *save* feast for enemy champions. If you and your enemy are both at 75% health, feast now. Then by the time the cooldown restarts you guys will be at lower health for you to try and burst them down.

*mr.gerry beat me to it *

In less words too =) Rylais is "okay" on Cho. There are other items that I enjoy getting on him though. Like MORE RODS

If the game looks to be long, a second rod would be better, otherwise it'll take too long for the bonuses to apply. I'm sad that theyre lowering rupture range for the next patch haha.

Cho is a god at farming it shouldn't take you past the 25/30 min mark to have the two rods then go into other items.

Utahime
Primary: Morgana
Secondary: Tryndamere/Ashe
Tertiary: Nunu

Is how it looks for me.

I love Tryndamere but I'm still boom or bust with him... I guess it depends hugely on the quality of your lane :/ I definitely feel like I'm a superior player than most of the Tryndameres I play with/against but if my lane falls apart I feel pretty helpless Anyone have any suggestions on how to play when you get dominated in lane?

buyateepee
Primary: Ashe/Shaco
Secondary: Malphite
Others: Teemo, Tristana

That's pretty much how it looks like for me.
When I get dominated in a lane, I try to get a lane switch if i'm playing with people I know or I just play safe and just last hit and keep the enemy creeps near my tower so while they may get some shots on my tower here and there, they can't get super-aggressive on me.

Obviously it depends on the situation and the exact match-up, but generally you can play really conservatively with Trynd if your lane is dominated, as you've got quite a lot of built-in survivability. Just save up your spin attacks for multiple last-hits where possible, and heal yourself with bloodlusts. I'm pretty sure I saw you doing all of this in the last game we played anyways. (Which was actually a pretty good game. We dominated pretty hard again. :D)

One of my favourite things to do with Trynd when on low-health (which is the state you should always be in, if you're playing him correctly), is to try and bait greedy players and get them to try to kill you under your tower. Just pop your ulti, start beating on them and mocking call them when they turn and run.

edit - BTW, I'm also glad to see you didn't get any "Tanky" items on him. I die a little inside, every time I see someone stacking health and armor on him.

Yeah, I tend to play conservatively, with no spin (I don't get spin until really late >_> ), because I can last hit almost every creep with tower while tanking everything and then just heal ^^
level 1: Blood/Shout (if I need to play defensively, shout, or if lanemate plays really aggressive -> chase)
level 2: whichever I didn't get
level 3: Blood
level 4: Spin (for escape)
blood, ult, blood, shout, blood, shout, etc.
The phys damage decrease of shout and the chasing ability is too nice to pass up I feel... spin is nice but I use it more for mobility :/

And yeah, Trynd plays like a glasscannon, gotta build him like one :D Still missing a lot of my ult timings but w/e that'll come.

I guess I should add Ashe to my list... I just don't like playing her because she's sooooooo plain. Just played a game with a friend... Philosopher Stone -> Infinity Edge BEFORE Boots lolol -> Zerker Boots -> Bloodthirster -> Madred Blood -> GG. Silly solo mid Heimerdingers.

ive made it a rule of thumb to leave as soon as I see someone on my team choose heimerdinger. its like playing 5v4 the entire time unless the other team is really bad. hes sooooo useless and his turrets feed the other team there's no upside about him

Heimerdingers can be good, but they're like playing The Stove (but not quite as bad). I definitely prefer Heimer on side lanes turreting up the grass (because then it's a pain for people to get rid of them)... but you have to immediately go massive AP to make your rockets pack their punch.

... but most Heimers like to play solo mid, thinking their turrets own. And then they invest too heavily into turrets/mana.

Meh, most players don't know how to play Heimer properly. The whole turret aspect makes players play too passively. Victory plays exclusively Heimer lately and he does it right.

Fast Rylai's and level 5 Rockets = fun. Grenade towers as often as possible. And under no circumstances should Heimer be solo mid. The champion just isn't cut out for long game carry. Besides, there are plenty of good laning partner for Heimer, like Alistar and Blitz.

if they would just make it so that turrets didnt give exp/cash he would be playable. as it is now you want him to be in your lane so you can get quick cash

Would love to play with some TL people, random matchmaking can screw you over so bad sometimes...

ID: voxrumor

Level 17, usually play Tryndamere or Morgana but pretty flexible
