![]() The mystics of Ionia delve into many mysteries, pioneering the very depths of spirituality. While many of them devote themselves to the pursuit of peace and light, there are those who walk different paths. Some pursue the beauty of perpetual sorrow, some the excitement of darkness, some the vitality of the primal. To this latter group belongs Udyr, a man who has devoted his life to harnessing the spirit of the beast within him. Even as a young boy, Udyr heeded the call of the wild; he felt more at home with the pets and beasts on his father’s farm than with his classmates or the people of his town. As soon as he came of age, he left home to find his place in the world, and he discovered it in the Hirana Monastery. The monks there taught him to commune with the primal spirits of nature, releasing the beast within. Now, wearing the pelt of a vicious dire wolf, which he killed with his own teeth (or so it is said), Udyr has come to unleash his fury on the Fields as a champion of Ionia. Udyr is a ground breaking new champion in League of Legends. Instead of usual compliment of three standard abilities, one passive, and an ultimate, Udyr will employ a passive ability and four stances. All stances will be available at level 1 and will provide Udyr with a different passive bonus while toggled on. In addition, each time Udyr changes stances, he will receive an immediate bonus. Heed to call of the Wild with Udyr, available in League of Legends on 11/30! _______________________________________________________________ He sounds awesome! Really interested in this guy. I played a bunch of games today, trying to push my loss streak off the recent games board and I'm now working my way back to a 50:50 win rate ( T_T). Been playings lots of Jax and Kayle and doing very well with both which is excellent. Ready to rape with TL peoples again.

Primary: Soraka Secondary: Chogath Third: Some sort of carry, though I think melee carries have it hard these days with the number of CC in the game and magic dam.

Just thought I'd make a post suggesting what you should do with these. There's a lot of choice with what to do with them. After talking with some friends, I've decided the following simple strategy. This is done by level which is an estimate of your skill and time spent on the game. If you've exhausted one section, start working on the next. This is not an exact mathematical representation. You may be done with my Level 11-20 section at level 15. I suggest reading all of this through before doing any of it. Level 1-10 Test out the heroes, buy the 450 point heroes from the store and play around with those and free ones. Read some champion guides and plan what runes you will get with points (Click here for a list of solid guides). It's a good idea to buy runes for a specific champion or pair of so that your future rune buying will be more efficient. (For example, I play Jax and Kayle a lot, both of which benefit from Dodge, this means I only have to buy one set of runes and spend half the IP). If you have all the champions you want and have a lot of points left, consider buying a 1350 IP champion. At this point you want to test as many as you can. This is also the smart choice in terms of entertainment. Level 11-20 So now you should have your favourite champions and a good idea of what runes you want. Following on your decision of runes, now is the time to buy all the Tier One runes you want. At level 11 you have grapsed the basics and are a good player and so you will be able to make the most of your runes. This en masse purchase will improve your character a lot but not change them completely. You should feel the improvement here, and as you level. Don't bother with Tier 2 yet. Tier 2 runes cost a lot more than Tier 1 runes. If you're after a quintessence then make sure the cost works out in your favour. If the quintessence is twice as powerful but 3 times the cost, get it later. Once you've filled your page out nicely, start work on the runes for the second page. If this page is done as well, go for some more 1350 champions if you wish. Level 21-30 By this time our rune books should be chock full of tier 1 runes for your main set. Tier 3 runes are very expensive so buy your desired Quintessences from Tier 2, from what I saw, tier 3 quints are 2000~ IP which is a lot. From here buy any remaining 1350 champions you want and then start your trek to getting full Tier 3 rune book. Try and skip tier 2 marks/seals/glyphs as by this point as they'll just waste a bunch of points on your way to the runes you won't be replacing ever. Buy carefully. If you're building a physical damage book, then get the red marks first. Again, look at the prices and compare the gains. Some Tier 3 runes are twice as powerful as Tier 1, sometimes 10%. Some primary runes are much more powerful than secondary (Best example of this is Crit damage. 2.73% for a mark, .83% for a Seal.) Reasoning The difference between a win and a loss in terms of IP is very minimal so unless you absolutely loathe all the free champions/450 champions then, and only then, think about going for a 1350 early on. Runes completely change the game and mixes the balance a lot. A Jax with a full rune book is an absolute monster, while a Jax without is much less dangerous. Rune books can completely change your farm and make some items you may be buying unnecessary. With full dodge runes you may not need your Ninja Tabi anymore on Jax and can go for different boots. I would not suggest getting the 3k champions and would steer completely away form the 6000~IP champions. 6000 IP takes a long time to get and you could have a full t1 rune book for that. I'll take 10% more crit over Karthus any day. Eventually these expensive heroes will be playable for free, so don't worry that you're not experiencing everything. If you do choose an expensive hero, make sure you've tried it before you buy it. Some heroes sound a lot better on paper than they are and some heroes might not fit your playstyle at all. Don't want to spend 6k on someone that you do poorly on.

Although, as with most new champions in the game, he will be introduced slightly overpowered intentionally, so more people want to try him, then balanced (nerfed) to a more reasonable level. On the subject of Heimer though - I'm still in two minds about him. I think his best ability is gaining massive lane control and pushing his lane from the very early game. If he's not aggressively pushing, preferably with a team-mate that can either help with his survivability (ie. Allistair) or help to get early ganks going (ie. Blitzcrank), then he's really not being used to the full and will inevitably fall behind for the end-game. Soloing with him, although it can be effective, is generally not a good idea. He's definitely not a carry. I guess if you wanted to solo one lane, have your main carry solo another, then trilane a third lane (unless someone is jungling) for serious early-game aggression. Again, I'm still not so sure about his usefulness overall, as there are just so many counters to him now, so he can be shut down in the early game, but also because of his lack of mid-late game mobility, which is so important.

Primary: Soraka Secondary: Taric As I have just started, I'm looking to unlock mage/support type classes, as I enjoy playing support. Champions such as Janna and Zilean. Always open to constructive criticism on my item/skill builds (if you play with me).

My in-game name is Rhavanna, look for me folks! Shout if you are from TL. I think my favorite char so far is Morgana. I just went 22-6-8 with her in one game, with 250+ minion kills.... soooooo crazy powerful, lol.

This made me look him up, and wow I don't know how I missed this guy, he has 110ish wins like me and is only one level higher O.o Hard to tell his skill level from his profile, though I know he's not in the top 500 either. As for Heimer, he's not really used top tier. When he is used, the team has to change their playstyle. Generally the heimer will go AP/CD reduction, and the team will camp outside whatever tower they're pushing while the Heimer tosses grenades at the tower (his grenade outranges tower shots and damages towers). NO ONE engages the defenders unless they approach Heimer, who should have a small turret camp set up. This is the most effective method of pushing with a Heimer on your team, which is why the common sentiment about him slowing down games is all over the LoL forums.

I've been doing mana manipulator -> ninja tabi -> Warmog's -> Force of Nature or Sunfire Cape but I've been wondering if there are any other builds. I know you can do an AP Cho build but I think it's too dangerous vs a lot of heroes (Ryze, Twitch, Eve, Trynd, Blitz, Yi) because they can kill you so fast and you lose all your feast stacks. I started playing Cho'gath yesterday, and I've consistently been going 10+-1 in many games, the 1 coming from being overzealous in the beginning. I go Boots of Speed -> Ninja Tabi -> Warmog's -> Frozen Mallet -> Sunfire Cape -> Banshee's Veil -> Rod of Ages. With this extreme tank build in combination with Feast extreme spike damage, people are caught offguard all the time. They don't expect you to tank a turret while bringing them from 80%->0 in 3 seconds.

I made a lobby with friends and clicked to start a game. It wouldn't work. Eventually I relogged, and it told me to join another game O.o. What makes it weirder is that the game I joined was 25 minutes in =/
