Earlier though, played against a healing team with a team composed of corki, veigar, alistar, fiddle and jax, and basically just AoE nuked them to oblivion. | ||

And the thing is unlike ryze, you don`t even need to run up to nuke anyone, you can just sit back, spam your AoE nuke, and then wait someone comes into your range so that you don`t get focus fired, and insta-kill or at least majorly gimp one guy. The only problem with veigar is his absolutely-crap early game. | ||

That gives you his Q, his R, ignite, dfg's active, and lich bane's passive on his next autoattack as nukes, 4 of which are AP based. Unfortunately, you have to make an early choice of skills: meteor so you can farm at all, or Q/stun so your build works before L18. I found success with neither. | ||

Level 2 stun is enough to land your AoE, and that`s what really matters. Your spells unload FAST. I am not a huge fan of normal attacking with veigar at all since his attack animation is SOOOO slow. No lichbane for me. I usually nuke, aiming for someone i know I can kill, and then gtfo. Frankly though, since your AP is so high, the base level of your spells don`t matter as much; you can easily farm with a non-maxed AoE spell once you have at least 200AP, which is decently early. No ignite for me. Teleport and Flash all the way. Teleport because veigar is totally boss at guarding towers and sometimes you can gank really well with it if you put down a ward in the right place. Flash is mostly to save your ass in a teamfight after you unload your nuke. Good players usually watch for me careful in a teamfight and focus fire as soon as I make a move, so I pretty much stay back and wait for them to initiate. You can also pull a poppy and flash in, nuke their main DPS or caster, and then die. They never see that coming. It`s always worth it for me to suicide and take out one of them since I get 5AP for it, and am pretty lousy at pushing towers anyways. | ||

It really doesn't destroy all the diversity in item builds. There are a whole buttload of heroes who have sheen as a mandatory 1st item, yet no one's complaining about that and it's largely because what you do after sheen is very diverse. And honestly, I'm not sure which characters you're talking about needing to get ghostblade first. Trynd and Yi are the only 2 that I really think would have no other viable options. Who else do you think has to get Youmuu's? | ||
