Scarlett -- Great job vs Strelok! Although you had me worried after game 1. =)

And don't worry or sweat it about Life. You still finished top 4 in the tournament with a sick, sick field. You took out Polt, Symbol, Jim, and Strelok, and came within one game of taking out Life. You did an amazing job, and you're a better player now than you ever have been. Congratulations!

I am interested to know how you choose your events? Is it a flip of the die? Or is there some type of ingrained cost/benefit analysis that you do? what makes you decide to try out for Ritmix as opposed to another event like Asus Rog? Or IEM?
Sometimes I remember that there will be a day where herO and Maru retire. And I get sad

I don't mean to speak for Scarlett, but for many players LAN events can be exhausting, and they take away from training time. Secondly, it's an environment where you're under the spotlight and spend a lot of time interacting with fans, competitors, coaches, and interviewers, so it's not for everyone. And third, unless you win a qualifier and have your expenses paid for (like IPL or MLG used to do), it can be expensive for a team to send a player to a LAN event in another continent. This is why Goswser, for example, decided to join Millenium, because living in Europe meant that he had easier access to the European tournament scene.

Damn those good-for-nothing leeches called "Fans".

I think generally you are correct. It is fairly cheap to enter into online tournaments, the real expense perhaps being lag (depending on where the tourney is held).

Also, looks like Scarlett got a pretty good group for WCS, Revival will be tough but I think both MacSced and Sage should, while proving worthy adversaries, be easily overcome by the Queen of Blades.

Well, I didn't mean to imply that fans are a burden to players, but the truth is that when you're a pro player and you're at a LAN, you have to put your best foot forward and be friendly and welcoming, regardless of how tired you are, or how much you'd like to be left alone to prepare for your next match. It can be really hard, even though I'm sure players all appreciate their fans greatly.

ATC Update: Acer will play Axiom in the semifinals of the ATC. MVP will play Liquid.

Scarlett -- I apologize in advance for how awkward it's going to be in your house for the next few weeks. t.t

By the way, I know some threads on TL have been kind of dramatic, so before your WCS RO16 matches I just wanted to remind you that your fans are here for you, and we'll be cheering you on no matter what happens. Give it your all, and most importantly, don't be afraid of Protoss! :-) You recently took out Jim and HerO ezpz, and Sage/Macsed are much easier opponents imo. You're gonna do great!
