Mvp so siiiiick. I thought there was no way he was gonna make it out of the group after the first set against ryung. But those games against puzzle, dam, they were reminiscent of the ole boss mvp i'm use to seeing. In the last set against ryung too he showed the instant split second godly decision making were use too, knowing he's killed off enough tanks to win a base trade. He also somehow managed to escape with all 4 of his cc's :O

So happpppppppppyyyyy! Great job by MVP. When he smiled after taking the first game with BCs in set 4, it was the most wonderful sight!
|
Uhm... Sign me up if I haven't signed in already lol

|
His smile after losing the first bo3 to Ryung just left me in pure awe, I just can't get over how awesome MVP is <3.

It wasnt about the tanks, it was the viking count that got him the game aswell, but I do agree, awesome play. Mvp fighting!

Feels Good really, When he lost so badly the first set vs Ryung, I thought Mvp is done for. but the game vs puzzle was really good and the 2nd set vs ryung showed the good old mvp that we are used to. )

I'm so happy to see Mvp get out of his group. Was afraid that he would go 0-2 after the first match, but he proved once again that you can never count him out.
Truly a champion.

But the sc2 scene needs him. GSL ro16 without MVP is empty. If he is to lose I want it to be because his opponents are honestly better/smarter than him, not because he is injured. The only time I didn't enjoy an MC win was when he beat MVP in Iron Squid. Happily, MVP shown his old face vs Puzzle and hopefully it wasn't just doing some stuff Puzzle is unused to. Now gogo beat Ryung so MC can pick you in ro16.
Then what the fuck are you doing here if you were/are not a fan? It is a Fan Club...
Sorry, am I not allowed to cheer for a player if not a fan? I thought here would be the best place to express my thoughts.

It's fine, lots of people comment in fan clubs without signing up for them.

This is your 5th time in ro16 in a row
During practice, I had most difficulty against Protoss. There were two Protosses in a group so making it to ro16 makes me delighted.
In your first match, you lost to a Terran, not a Protoss
Despite our builds being similar, I got behind. Losing the build side of the game, I played impatiently. I think impatience was the cause of my downfall.
You had a one-sided victory against Puzzle in the loser’s match
I was confident about Entombed Valley in Set 1 since I had a lot of practice on that map. Frankly, I couldn’t say the same about Set 2 on Daybreak. If Daybreak were to be selected, I was going to just warm up playing standard then take Set 3. Also, the build I used on Daybreak was a never-before seen build. I got behind with my build but with the medivac fake working out well, I took the game easily.
You met Ryung again in the final match to pay him back in style
I lost the first match because of impatience. So in the final match, I paid great care to my builds to start the games with an advantage. However, my build didn’t work in Set 1 so it seemed difficult. Then, my battlecruisers netted me a win and I rode that momentum to take the series.
What do you think is the reason for you recent slump?
I’ve said often before that wrists and my health in general have not been the best. Even during practice this time, I suffered from enteritis. I couldn’t practise because of my bad condition. So I’ve stayed stagnant whilst others advanced onward.
How is your health lately?
I thought the reason I couldn’t exert any force on my wrist was because of the wrists themselves. However, I recently got in touch with GGPlay (T/N: the name MVP mentions has two results in TLPD, the other, Jjando, just looks very unlikely to be whom he is talking about). He told me that he had the exact same symptoms that I have. At the time, GGPlay retired and I continued. After GGPlay got out of the army, he had an examination which revealed that the problem wasn’t in the wrist but in the cervical disc. So, I am planning to get my cervical disks examined shortly.
Your goal this season?
First, it’s to get to ro8 so that I get to stay in Code S. Once I achieve this, I will set a new higher goal.
It’s ro16 group nominations on Sunday. When do you think you’ll get picked?
Lately, Terran’s a pushover, right? (laugh) So I think I’ll get picked rather soon. Lately, MKP is on a roll so being in the same group as him should be fun.
Anything to add?
I want to thank my mother, father and older sister who always cheer me on from home. Even today, I received texts from my family before the games. They were a great help. The coach is having a tough time right now but I’m sure everything will work out soon so I hope he feels better. Also, Nestea plays his ro32 games tomorrow so I hope he does well and lastly, I’m grateful to my girlfriend (T/N: wait what? Since when?).
I wanted to discuss the answer to the question " how is your health lately? "
It seems like he may have finally figured out what the problem is? or hopefully. If It turns out it really is his cervical disks and he can get it treated he could make a full recovery maybe? I don't know a whole lot about medicine so if anyone else has some thoughts on that feel free to chime in~
edit: also enteritis? that's like completely unrelated to his wrists, I guess he ate some bad food or something. That sucks having to practice with that T.T

I'm no doctor, medical student, etc. But I believe cervical disk surgery is a pretty major procedure. Any procedure on your neck/spine is pretty serious..
The potential for a full recovery is there, but they might say he shouldn't do anything involving/related to sitting for long periods of time in the future, which would mean no progaming :[

How long exactly, like a couple of months similar to Flash's recovery or a lot longer?
If he could make a full recovery that would be incredible. I think he should do it even if it means he had to give up his gsl spot and do recovery time, maybe GOM would be kind enough to give him a seed back into code S when he had recovered lol.

I feel like if there legitimately is a problem with his neck/spine he may become exempt from doing military service or at the very least be similar to what TheStC did (not really full-time service)

Funny that Mvp pwned so hard his back gave out :D.
It's amazing to think how good he is even with his wrist injury.
