December 14 2011 - Sen qualified for the 2012 Global Starcraft-II League (GSL) Season 1 - Code S Tournament + Show Spoiler +
Hey there fans of Sen! We just heard this great news - Sen was announced as one of two non-Korean players qualified for the 2012 Global Starcraft-II League (GSL) Season 1 - Code S Tournament! CONGRATULATIONS SEN!!! (The other player is EGIdrA; congratulations to him as well!) What a way to start the new year, here's hoping Sen will rocket to the top!
(Speaking of which, we saw many users guessing his namesake here, so if you haven't figured it out, "Sen" is how the Chinese character "victory" is pronounced!)
December 07 2011 - Sen finishes 3rd at 2011 NASL Season 2 Grand Finals! Says he has gotten enough 3rd places; aims for top 2 next time + Show Spoiler +
“Taiwan Zerg King” Sen, currently a StarCraft-II player for e-sports team GAMABEARS of Gamania Digital Entertainment, Ltd., battled well-known SC-II pros from around the world and in the end walked away with 3rd place and $12,000USD prize money at the North American Starcraft League (NASL) Season 2 Grand Finals held in Ontario, California 2-4 December.
Next, Sen will be in Busan, Korea from 8-11 December playing the 2011 World Cyber Games (WCG) SC-II tournament.
The 2011 NASL Season 2 final standings: EGPuMa (right) is the defending champion, LiquidHerO (middle) in 2nd, and GamaniaSen in 3rd (left).
Evil Geniuses’ Terran PuMa was league champion for the second time, successfully defending his reigning throne against Team Liquid’s Protoss player HerO. Incidentally, the duo had battled the previous week at DreamHack Winter 2011, and HerO had clutched 1st place after a 6-1 win over PuMa.
Spotted: Overseas Chinese students with handmade GAMABEARS posters!
Prior to the tournament, Sen had been foreseen by local and overseas fans as a favorite for the top four finalists, which he did not disappoint. After an upsetting 0-4 loss to HerO in the semifinals, Sen recovered quickly and played with poise in the 3rd/4th place match, finally overcoming Swedish Terran ThorZaIN 4-2. During the post-game interview, Sen said that he will not be so modest in future tournaments because “every time I say I hope to get top 3, I jinx myself and always end up third! Next time, I want to be in the top 2!”
In the post-match interview after he beat ThorZaIN 4:2, Sen said that he will never say he hopes to get top 3 again; next time, he will aim for top 2!
Sen autographs for fans while waiting for the top 2 to battle out the final results.
One of the highlights at the NASL was that all the players would take a red-carpet walk to the main stage before their match began, and Sen always received a considerable amount of attention from the sidelines, bringing commentators to occasionally awe over Sen’s overseas popularity during the games. November 1, 2011 - GAMABEARS Sen hopeful of advancing to NASL Season 2 Grand Finals, making it his four international tournament before year-end + Show Spoiler +
“Taiwan Zerg King” Sen, currently playing StarCraft-II for the GAMABEARS, one of the four professional e-Sports team in Taiwan, clutched his fourth win at the 2011 North American Starcraft League (NASL) Season 2 Preliminaries this past weekend, making him a hopeful for the Grand Finals, to commence in Ontario, California on December 2-4.
GamaniaSen played his fifth match in the 2011 NASL Season 2 Prelims last Saturday, October 29, 9:00PM (PST) against Dutch Zerg player Liquid Ret, who was the top seed in NASL Season 1. Sen had mentioned right before this match that he really looked forward to playing against Ret in this division, because Ret had received professional training in South Korea before and was very strong. But Sen knew Ret’s play style from previous engagements, and seized the opportunity to launch a rush in games one and three, defeating the opponent within 10 minutes, winning the match 2-1.
Sen has two more matches left in the division prelims, playing against American Protoss player iNka, and Ukrainian Terran player Strelok in the next two weeks of November. If Sen wins these two following matches and advances to the Grand Finals, this will be the fourth international tournament he will appear in since he joined GAMABEARS in July 2011.
Will Sen get yet another chance to realize his goal of winning an international championship during his pro-gamer career with GAMABEARS? For more information on Sen’s upcoming tournaments, including DreamHack on November 26, and the 2011 World Cyber Games (WCG) on December 8-11, stay tuned to the GAMABEARS official Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/gamabears.fans!
With four wins in the division preliminaries already, GamaniaSen now has a high chance of advancing to the 2011 NASL Grand Finals.

“Taiwan Zerg King” GamaniaSen, currently playing StarCraft-II for the GAMABEARS, one of the four professional e-Sports team in Taiwan, finished in 3rd place at the 2011 Battle.net Invitationals in the 2011 BlizzCon held October 21-22 in Anaheim, California, putting his nation and his team on the world map of StarCraft-II and e-Sports.
To thank his fans for their support, Sen is giving away a GAMABEARS T-shirt signed by famous SC-II players who attended BlizzCon on the GAMABEARS official Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/gamabears.fans
GamaniaSen’s third place finish in the Starcraft-II tournament at 2011 BlizzCon put his team GAMABEARS and his nation Taiwan on the world map of SC-II.
Thousands of fans either woke early or stayed up late to watch GamaniaSen play in the SC-II tournament at BlizzCon, as he made a great comeback in the consolation bracket after an unprecedented loss in the second round. GamaniaSen revived to the grand final as winner of the consolation bracket, and finished after Korean SC-II star players IMMVP and IMNesTea, to win third place and $10,000USD. Coincidentally, Sen had taken a photo with the same two players when they ran into each other prior to BlizzCon, and the photo had been predicted by fans on international forums to be the final winning lineup.
From left to right: IMMVP, GamaniaSen and IMNestea had taken this photo before BlizzCon, and had been predicted by fans to be the final winning lineup.
GamaniaSen poses with his third prize: $10,000USD!.
Sen’s final results at BlizzCon immediately made headline news on leading gaming websites in Taiwan as well as global SC-II forums, and some have coined him as the ‘Taiwan Pride’ of e-Sports.
Sen's appearance at the 2011 BlizzCon also put his team GAMBEARS on the world map of Starcraft-II.
Sen signs for fans in between his games at BlizzCon.
“This is the best score I’ve gotten yet in this tournament, as I finished in 8th place last year, so I am very glad to finish in third place!” said Sen. “I hope I will do better in more international tournaments coming soon, such as DreamHack in late November, and the World Cyber Games this December. My career goal is to win the championship at one of these international tournaments someday soon.”
Word has it that Sen is also on a roll to win the division title in the North American Starcraft League (NASL) Season 2 prelims; he is currently two wins away from claiming a seat to the (NASL) grand finals.
Sen humbly credited his triumph at BlizzCon to his e-Sports team, the GAMABEARS, for setting regular practice times, which allowed him more time to fine-tune his gaming skills than before. “More time to practice, about 5-10 hours a day, and also competing with other SC-II players in the Taiwan e-Sports League, as well as a little bit of luck, have helped me to win the third place title this time,” Sen said.
“Especially when I played two times against (Swedish Protoss player) NaNiwa, I was a little disappointed in myself when I lost the first time, but I told myself that it was only one match, and recovered quickly so I was in full throttle mode during the consolation bracket.” Sen added that when he faced NaNiwa again in the final round of the consolation bracket, he felt Lady Luck smiling down on him, and that when he felt he was sure to win, he even had his unit do a victory dance for self-amusement.
Sen remarked, “I am the top SC-II player in Taiwan now, but I hope that my performance this time has inspired other players in my country, and that they will improve quickly so they can join me in some international games, and we can show the world that Taiwan is also very strong in e-Sports.”
To thank his fans from all over the world for their support, Sen is holding a special giveaway on his e-Sports team’s official Facebook page! 2011 BlizzCon SC-II Invitational Day One results: GamaniaSEn took down JazBas 2-1 in the first match, but then lost to NaNiWa 0-2, which sent him into the Consolation Bracket. However, this defeat did not cripple GamaniaSEn's confidence, as he has said in his previous interviews: "Just because you won the first game, there's never any guarantee you'll keep winning all the way. The important thing is to keep a cool head and do your best." And indeed he has! In the next match, GamaniaSEn faced Ret, who he would also play next in the NASL Season 2 prelims, and took him down 2-1. And in his last match of the day, GamaniaSEn shut out KiLLeR 2-0. You have to say, the Taiwan Zerg King is on a roll!
In his first match on Saturday, set to begin at 12:00pm (PST), GamaniaSEn will face old friend and foe SeleCT, and should he win, he will take on either NaNiWa or DIMAGA in the Consolation Final.
Will GamaniaSEn be able to secure a spot in the Grand Finals and put Taiwan on the world map of SC-II? Find out by staying tuned to the live stream on the 2011 BlizzCon official website and the Gama Bears official Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/gamabears.fans

"I got lucky" - After qualifying for the GSL
"0-2 or 1-2 or 2-1 if I get lucky." - When asked for a prediction before Ro32 at GSL 3
I will begin to add new replays starting now, or if there are really special ones, link them below and I will add them : ) - Replay Pack 2NEW!! (21/12/10) - [url blocked]
Sen: Calm down everyone! After qualifying, I decided to stay put at Korea, and was arranged by board at a (korean) GomTV friend's place. Unfortunately he doesn't speak English or Mandarin (T/N: Chinese), luckly we can still gesture at each other =.= Somehow.
Coincidentally, the IM (Nestea's) team is located right in this building. They even lend me a computer to pratice on! nice!! Unforunately, no one speaks Mandarin (T/N: Chinese) or English: the only thing they understand is when they ask me "hungry?" and nothings else. =__= What tragedy! In the past couple days, I been occupying this computer about ten hours-a-day, my korean account is up to 2600 points. Time flies and there's only two days left, hopefully it won't end in tragedy
Sen has been practicing about 10 hours per day for the GSL. His account on the Korean server has gone from 1800 points to 2700 points. He will be as ready as possible.

As a very experienced zerg player, I was completely astounded to see Sen advance in the round of 64 in GSL3. After hearing of his qualification I expected him to go far but in the first round his Protoss opponent (oGsVines) put a lot of pressure on Sen and attacked the zerg economy correctly. When the phoenix's owned 3 queens, 4 overlords with the threat of a big warpgate push incoming I thought Sen would get thoroughly toasted. On Delta Quadrant and Blistering Sands he held on; larva by larva he managed to defend his natural expansion. I have been a Sen fan for a while and it made my stomach tight to see Sen so close to elimination. What a baller! Everyone cheer for Sen and hope he makes it far and has great success in the GSL!

i have never been so much of the edge of my seat in that series, i almost lost it when it looked like you were done, and then you hero hold off the push
AND I FUCKING SCREAMED OF JOY <3 hope you beat NesTea so you can show Korea who is Boss
SEN FIGHTING!! He'll carry the glorious swarm far in the GSL, along with IdrA. I've admired Sen since the first time I heard his name and I've been a real fan since MLG Dallas; sign me up!
Sen, you're a beast. Getting stuck with steppes, delta, and blistering sands against protoss looked like a death lineup, but you pulled it off like a pro. I raged so hard over the cannon cheese on steppes, grats on pulling through and good luck!
Sign me Up, Sen sometimes flew under my radar in BW then I'd watch him play and realize how good he is. In Starcraft 2 He's just as amazing! Sign me up
altough he lost, he played and AMAZING ZvZ against the current best Zerg in the world, NesTea(GSL champion, we are all proud of you mate :'D see you in GSL soon i hope <3
Sign me up, his stream was hilarious last night. PvZ Cannon rush -> manner stargates -> DTs, ZvZ spine crawler expedition on Shakuras, TvT thor rush into literal base trade (as in "swap" not "destroy"). Hee hee!

Sen is a great player and all but I cant see how you could possibly claim that.
I'd say that Sen has slightly better ZvT and much more better ZvZ than IdrA. Know that Sen has pretty good ZvP aswell but dont about IdrA there so cant comment really. IdrA is so clueless how to adapt to situations thats awkward/new to him. Sen isnt
Oh my god that was hilarious, Sen you need to please do more like that, I would gladly keep up with your experiences.
Some lines that killed me:
= =I became so nervous when my turn was coming and it was just like playing Zerg in game and having enemy attack while All units i have is Drones !! Maybe even worse by having limits in number of unit XD. That almost describes my feeling at that time!!
I was totally confused by this first game because I wasn't excepting such an easy win against an EG player. I think there is only one explanation! That is because he was frightened by the name of the well-known SEN!! The name is so famous that made him perform poorly =.= It always felt great to fall into my imagination xDD so cool~
On the way back to hotel we were stopped by a few American girls. Later Duran told me that those girls were drunk and wanted to play some adult games in our room = =. WTF. The Americans are really very open, this would never happen in Taiwan!! They were rejected by Duran because they were not his type lol.
oh man, I can just picture that happening and it cracked me up.
I just wanted to give this a little bump as we added 10 never before seen replays from SEn on the Korean ladder (I just grabbed 10 randomly, so not sure what the games contain!)
I rmbed I watched his stream some weeks back and he was yelling out in chinese about how imba terran was on Lost Temple and I was just rofling all the way. Something along the lines of 4 zerglings unable to beat 2 marines even though they cost the same, and started swearing in chinese to the group of friends he had with him. Great player man! Hes a really funny guy xD
Just before sleep Gretorp did several Wrestling on me-.- he was so strong to me, it was just like Ultralisk vs zergling.. I took it as he was compensating his loss to me in SC2 by throwing me around!! I am so kind to forgive him!! Not just me, others like TT1 and Fenix were beat up by Gretorp as well A_A no one stands in front of him.. = = My first day in Dallas ended with such frolic in the room ~
Sorry there hasn't been much of an update recently, there haven't been very many exciting things going on, at least that I've noticed. If you guys see something you think should be added, make sure to post it and Ill add it!!!
I'm really happy SEn won. I've been a big of him since beta and I'd say he's probable my favourite non toss player (I'm toss). Hope he goes really far in the TSL3.
great performance today, iam really impressed by his recent results and even more by his performance especially since he had a slight slump in the end of last year.
Sen's NASL application was amazing. Best one so far. I'm also calling for a Sen vs MC finals. Sen's path is looking great. I think he has better zvz than Morrow (though morrow is always a threat to anybody) and a sen vs naniwa semifinals looks very likely.
I'm surprised there aren't more fans in his fan club ): There aren't many zergs as beastly as him.
Would anyone else be interested in seeing Sen v Loner in an epic grudge match? I wonder what opinions the two have of each other.
In most other competitive sports, Taiwan is forced to add R.O.C. to their team name or banner. It infuriates me. Hopefully eSports will help garner recognition for Taiwan as an autonomous country.

Bro....... no offense, but ROC is the official name of Taiwan...... at least go through Wikipedia before throwing blatantly erroneous information.
Sen vs Loner showmatch might not be that great of a idea, since i don't think Loner's current state can have any chance of beating Sen. And we really don't need another PRC vs ROC drama.

Probably because you shouldn't have to sign-up in an official fan club page on TL.net or use Twitter to follow someone to be a fan. /facepalm
These fan clubs are having a spiral effect either way.
I've always been a fan of this guy, but that doesn't mean I should have to come out and say it in a place like this where you cannot really converse.

What fanclub have you not had to sign up for?
Also, just because you aren't in the TL fanclub list doesn't mean you aren't his fan...but I think its fun to keep a list, since maybe I will try and run a special interview and those on the list can ask the questions or whatever.
Sign me up, been a fan since like 2007. SEn (this version of his nick was much cooler) has always been a top notch foreigner whenever he was active. Monster.
Damn, sick series vs Boxer... Too bad he didn't make it >.< Felt to me sEN was the better player overall but Boxer had a really great position there on that 5th map.
In the TSL3, they use a very odd flag next to Sen's name. Anyone know which country that flag represents? It definitely doesn't look like the official flag of Taiwan, unless I'm missing something here.

At FnaticMSI we use the Taiwain flag. At TSL/TL.Net they use the Chinese Taipei flag (seen above).
new found respect for Sen, i think hes gotten a shit load better from his gsl proformance. Its not like he was doin bad even then, he was still doin amazing, but after that zvz proformance against zenio...i mean holy shit..sen is fuckin good

SEN!!! I have an idea for you!! I play z aswell...
You can HOTKEY all of your QUEENS on 1 hotkey... and INJECT using the MINIMAP!!
Have all QUEENS Hotkey'd then just CLICK on the hatcherys ON THE MINIMAP!!!
IT SAVES A LOT OF TIME!! If you know about this already then k... but I use it and it works.. big time... int he heat of battle. just 7 clicks without changing the view injects into 6 hatcheries... (1 to select queens)
Also Sign me up!! plz lmk if these mechanics work out...
HOW DID U WIN THAT zvz AGAINST OWMYGROIN?!?!?!! He had soooo many roaches. Epic micro / burrow / infested terrans for sure. Probably the best defensive ZvZ i have ever seen, and will ever see in the near future!!!!

Link is fixed. And I am trying to figure out what gear it is.
Sometimes, I keep Sen's stream running in the background while I'm at work just to listen to his c-pop. And then there's inter-mixed sounds of zerg units dying.
Particularly game 3 as game 1 and 2 were just lol. Very nicely played by Sen, defended extremely well and countered just in time. No wonder even Idra respects this guy and gg's in all his games.
To all Sen fans that will be around Manila, Philippines, May 22 will be your lucky day as the man himself will be featured in MSi's 25th anniversary event in SM North Edsa!

Yeah I was just wondering that too ytd when I wanted to watch the last stream I missed. Maybe he took them off so other players couldn't analyze his play? Or maybe he accidently took them off =/
fuck yeah i bet he took them off to prevent ppl from analysing his gameplay however it's stupid cause his real opponents can always catch and save the stream if they really want to...it's just annoying for his fans !
Hahahah, that was hilarious. Deezer is not english native, where he from? Such an insolent kid, someone has to learn him respect one day lol, "Bro, kid, Bro, kid, Bro, kid" and some vocabulary too.
For those of you who dont know why I bm to Deezer. It's because he was soo bad manner to me yesterday when I streamed. I was matched up against Deezer in a Ladder game, when he got advantage after the main battle he said ( i thought you are good player but you are so bad - something like this bm to me ) thats why I did this to him today.

Add me to the Fan club please, i have loved this guy for such a long time, and i really hope we can see some dominance here. So glad he was able to take out Zenio yesterday, and i hope he can win again today. I just think he is the strongest Zerg left.
I don't see enough people rooting for you sen. There is less than 120 decibels when people call your name. There is also less than 600 pages in this fanclub.
Me don't understand. You're the awesomest awesome player. Show everyone you're the best and win NASL!
Defintely add me to the fan club please, I have been a long time fan of Sen, and I think he is the best Zerg player in all of SC2. He will take all of the NASL!
Wow, really good play against MC there! I almost gave up the possibility of winning after a protoss chrono boosts 3 zealots, doing no damage entirely, rushing for dt's, also doing no damage! Go go Sen!!!
This may be a little bold, but I feel like all these games have been sens... little mistakes that MC no doubt completely capitalized on. Game 1 was poor control and Game 4 was a silly move with the BLs...
I am a long time Protoss player from BW, But Have always had respect for Sen, His english, Confidence, SC2 Playstyle, have made me a huge fan, and I have much respect for sen, Congratulations on your nice finish at NASL, Hopefully you have much success in the future, your style makes me want to switch to zerg!
I'm so sad! This could've been Sen's huge breakout performance. I've been following his stream religiously since beta and he always usually gets one spore and one spine at each base every game. But of course, he's not duking it out with MC on ladder. He was coming off an unbelievable loss in game 4 and he had spotted MCs 3rd base a little too late. But cheers anyway sen. You've proven that you can hang and beat MC in the long macro game. You will win your multiple titles eventually! Good luck for 3rd place tommorow. 10k is nothing to sneeze at!
My eyes got a little wet and I almost cried when Sen gg'd in game 5 against MC. Don't feel bad about the money. You are a boss and you will make tons of money in your life. You will win your tournament some day.
I hope Sen doesn't feel too sad because he was the better player but unlucky.
i'll still always <3 you sen. hope you get third today!
not sure if he's done with university yet or not, but i think he said in NASL regular season it was ending soon for him. so hopefully more practice time will lead to more good results!
Sick ZvZ games, I'm normally completely uninterested in the matchup but that was just so exciting. The 2 cans of red bull that were consumed throughout the duration of the match maybe helped, but nonetheless awesome games played by Sen!
Sign me up. Sen you are a great player. Nice job breaking up the Korea sweep at NASL and you were just one bad decision in game 4 vs. MC from going to the finals. You have great things ahead of you I think if you can just learn and grow from the mistakes of each match.
If a contract ends you usually do negociate a new one with your current team except if you're unhappy in the team. But honestly, fnatic has enough money to make him stay - and he likes their players anyway, that is obvious. Expect to Sen to resign his contract with fnatic, personally.

He's already said before that he won't resign, but his future plans are "secret."
rofl in his stream. Remembering him typing Chinese in his game saying "Sometimes playing in the NA server makes you feel like a God XD." After losing a lot in the Korean ladder he had to gain confidence by playing in the NA ladder XD.

Looking for someone to take over the thread for me. If you are interested, please PM me. Sadly I do not have time to continue updating Sen's ever growing fanclub due to increased work load and I am about to start my final year in college.
Ah risky build against Stephano in game 3 of Assembly Summer... not even the perfect drone spread saved you! Still, great games throughout, unfortunate to be knocked out due to a build order loss...
Anyway, good luck as member of Gama Bears! I have a feeling just having you in the TeSL will make everyone in that league better.
I can't comment on the game cause I just started watching it! + Show Spoiler +
Game 1 isn't worth it. Sen rolls his P opponent when he sees a Nexus going up at the expo. Mass speedlings off 2 base destroys the P without a fight.
Game 2 also isn't worth it. Delayed, and then failed 4gate from P. Instead of crushing the P right away, Sen decides to be a nice guy and get to 200 first.
Interview with Sen at the very end of the video, but I can't understand any of it. :p
Taiwanese SC-II Zerg player GamaniaSEn (Yang Chia-cheng), currently in Anaheim, California for the 2011 BlizzCon this Friday and Saturday, was seen with two SC-II star players from South Korea, MVP (left) and Nestea (right). Top SC-II players from around the world have gathered here at the 2011 BlizzCon to contend for the top title of the Global Battle.net Invitational. GamaniaSEn's first match will be against JazBas and starts at 3:00pm (PST) on Friday.
Hey~ Are you one of the lucky ones who have access to 2011 BlizzCon? Drop by the Razer booth Saturday morning, you may catch a glimpse of GamaniaSEn in person, and maybe even get his autograph!
♥ SEn, the coolest dude (next to DIMAGA) I met at Blizzcon. He was signing autographs and taking pictures for at least an hour. This dude LOVES his fans! It was nice to talk to him too (a decent 5 min chat about his time there). Here's photo!
“Taiwan Zerg King” Sen clutches 3rd place at 2011 BlizzCon, is coined ‘Taiwan Pride’ of e-Sports Special autographed T-shirt giveaway announced on GAMABEARS Facebook page
[October 28, 2011] “Taiwan Zerg King” GamaniaSen, currently playing StarCraft-II for the GAMABEARS, one of the four professional e-Sports team in Taiwan, finished in 3rd place at the 2011 Battle.net Invitationals in the 2011 BlizzCon held October 21-22 in Anaheim, California, putting his nation and his team on the world map of StarCraft-II and e-Sports.
GAMABEARS Sen hopeful of advancing to NASL Season 2 Grand Finals, making it his four international tournament before year-end
【November 1, 2011】“Taiwan Zerg King” Sen, currently playing StarCraft-II for the GAMABEARS, one of the four professional e-Sports team in Taiwan, clutched his fourth win at the 2011 North American Starcraft League (NASL) Season 2 Preliminaries this past weekend, making him a hopeful for the Grand Finals, to commence in Ontario, California on December 2-4.
Any Sen fans must see this game from the IPL4 Qualifiers in Philippines. Game 1 was so creative, I haven't see a proxy hatch used in a tournament game before. Game 2 is also worth watching as well.
GO SEN! put MC in his place and show everyone that he is on his way back down to Code B!
on a side note, i think its really cool that gamma bears is adding posts to the fanclub to provide a lot of cool stuff for the OP to add. PLEASE send Sen to MLGs! hes too awesome to not participate!

If MC couldnt play with IdrA's head so bad, IdrA would tear him apart too.
Does anyone know if it's possible to order a Sen jersey? I've been looking for a while and I can't seem to find any place. The FnaticMSI link in the first post is out of stock. Maybe someone who speaks Taiwanese can ask Gamabears if they sell jerseys? I also apologize if this is not the appropriate forum for this post, but I don't really know where else to ask.
Sen appearing at DreamHack, NASL Season 2 Grand Finals and WCG! Taiwan Zerg King humbly hopes for top three
[21 November 2011] “Taiwan Zerg King” Sen, currently a StarCraft-II player for e-sports team GAMABEARS of Gamania Digital Entertainment, Ltd., was confirmed as a finalist for the North American Starcraft League (NASL) Season 2 Grand Finals as of last weekend, making it the fifth international tournament he will compete in since joining GAMABEARS in July 2011! Sen modestly says he aims to place in the top three at these games, but he will do his best and see if Lady Luck will grant him a gold medal for Christmas!
Sen, right, posed with NaNiwa for a photo at the IPL 4 Pacific Qualifiers earlier this month. He finished in third place.
Starting this week, Sen will be traveling first to Sweden for the 2011 DreamHack Invitational on 24-26 November, then it’s on to Ontario, California for the NASL Season 2 Grand Finals on 2-4 December, and last but not least, Sen will finish his “2011 world tour” at the World Cyber Games (WCG) World Championships in Pusan, South Korea on 8-11 December.
Sen’s recent presence on the international e-sports stage, most latest being the 2011 Blizzcon Invitational in October and the IGN Pro League Season 4 Pacific Qualifiers earlier this month, have reduced previous speculations that he wouldn’t be seen as much in international tournaments if he returned to play pro in his home country.
Sen and his GAMABEARS teammates join in a corporate event celebrating Gamania Day on November 11.
When asked about his anticipation of the outcome of these events, Sen humbly replied at he would “keep a cool head and play like I do in any other game, but I hope that my training with GAMABEARS and my long practice hours have paid off and help me to secure the top 3 in the upcoming tournaments.” But on a side note, the Taiwan Zerg King is also crossing his fingers that Lady Luck will be on his side and let him bring home a championship medal as an early Christmas present! Join Sen’s fans from around the world and cheer him on at the GAMABEARS official Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/gamabears.fans!
Sen will appear at the upcoming international tournaments:
The groups and schedule for the first day of DreamHack Winter 2011 have been announced, and Sen will be playing against Grubby, DeathAngel and DeViL in Group N at 21:30(CET) on November 24. Live coverage: http://zh-tw.twitch.tv/dreamhacktv GO SEN! GO GAMABEARS!
Do love me some Taiwanese zerg madness. So many banelings in game four vs bratok. Feels like he's either toying with bratok, or really insecure about his advantage.
That thing Sen did; dropping infesteds to soak up tank fire before sending in his lings, thats gonna become standard within the next 1-2 years I predict.

Def not saying Destiny invented this tactic or anything like that, but he's been telling his students to do this ZvT when engaging a siege line for like a year now. Sheth asked his opinion on breaking siege lines not to long ago and he showed that tactic in unit tester.
Edit: Sens a much better player btw, just saying this tactic isn't really new players have been doing it for awhile.

sen has been doing it since the much earlier days but the problem is infestors are pretty mediocre against tanks otherwise

Sen finishes 3rd at 2011 NASL Season 2 Grand Finals! Says he has gotten enough 3rd places; aims for top 2 next time
7 December 2011 - “Taiwan Zerg King” Sen, currently a StarCraft-II player for e-sports team GAMABEARS of Gamania Digital Entertainment, Ltd., battled well-known SC-II pros from around the world and in the end walked away with 3rd place and $12,000USD prize money at the North American Starcraft League (NASL) Season 2 Grand Finals held in Ontario, California 2-4 December.
Wow...after all this time I thought that Sen was just a made up name. Sen add oil!
Oh dear. 3 terrans in Sen's code S group. Sen has a decent chance at beating Boxer but Ganzi and Jjakji are 2 of the top 5 TvZers in the whole world. I hope Sen gets some zerg friendly maps.
Rooting for Sen...but I don't have high hopes. His ZvT relies on a really macro-focused, muscular style that uses big ground armies to bludgeon people to death, and that just isn't flexible or good enough to beat top TvZ like jjakji. Sen just doesn't have a really versatile Zerg toolbox. His muta harass is only decent, and I've never been impressed with his infestor play.
My hope is that Sen can beat Boxer (blasphemy, I know), and squeak by Ganzi. If the Korean terrans are too focused on training against each other, maybe Sen can surprise them by being better than they expected.

If we're lucky, Boxer and Ganzi will go for the standard SlayerS hellion opening and Sen will bust down the door with roaches Lucky-style.
Sen V Boxer, holy crap, that was... 2 rax, perfect hold, literally perfect 0 drones lost, and boxer loses 2-3 armies of rien tank, Sen gets 3-3 crackling ultra festor, and loses it... i can't even...

Beasting his way through ZvZ with mass roach...classic Sen.
Let hope he can keep it up...he really need to round out his toolbox with some good muta and infestor control, or he's going to have trouble once he starts playing top-level Koreans. My guess is gamabears doesn't exactly have the best practice partners.
Taiwanese Pride FTW!!! First, Sen YangChiaChen Then Chien-Ming Wang, Yankees pitcher for a few months, then Jeremy Lin, New York Knicks Point Guard yea go my heritage TAIWAN!!
"fu ck you" one of the funniest things I have ever seen Sen do on his stream. So unexpected, Sen is usually so mannered but I guess it's understandable considering the guy was trolling him.
Okay, sen is fucking ridiculous. Today I watched him
a) perfectly time zerglings to spawn and hit their rally, and be grouped together the moment speed finished (they changed as soon as they reached the rally point)
b) make a hatchery every 3 minutes, for 28 minutes, in a ZvT. Seriously did not miss a single one, every 3 minutes whether it was expand or macro hatch.
c) maxed on +1 roaches w/ speed by 11:30 in a ZvP. 11:30!!!

I would say it's probably due to the lack of tournaments that Sen participates in, perhaps partially due to his commitment to the TeSL and the Taiwanese scene.
watched sen's stream yesterday and today and have to say: Wow, Sen is playing really good right now. #10 Korean ladder and very strong play. loses almost no game. I'm impressed.
Sen wishing everyone happy new year, and talking about his plan in the future. He said that now he is not on a team anymore, he want to do what Grubby is doing, like contacting sponsors and be a team on his own. He said that we can expect to see him in tournaments like mlg or dreamhack in 2014
Isn't SEn one of those guys that can stop playing for 6 months, then plays a few games and is back at the top? At least it has been that way for the last 5 years that I've followed Starcraft.
