"IdrA has THE worst bm of any pro gamer , when in actuality when it comes to SC he's the WORST player in Korea
IdrA is a shit faced little faggot that deserves nothing he has, learn about what's going on before you try to defend him after just watching this video"
Worst player in korea. AKA, much better than every 99.9% of the other white people.
"little faggot" is also a nice mature name when you are going to criticize for "bm"
SDM was and still is annoying IMO and should stick to his precious

Youtube is full of eleven year old kids and immature people, never take it seriously. He does have one of the worst BM, I guess you could say that opinion is true. IdrA is better than all the Liquid team except (JUST MAYBE) Jinro, and he might even still be better. I do not see how he is the worst player in Korea, I am pretty sure he can re-qualify for Code-A easily.

He was talking about IdrA's BW run in Korea several years ago

As far as I know IdrA never passed courage. He won something that got him an invite to the estro house and eventually they gave him a license, and then later he was traded or sent to CJ.

He could of easily won courage tho. Most of the people competing in courage were korean amateurs

He lost in courage first round
I would agree with you if it was later in the time period where he had been training

Ya, he was a pretty solid B-Teamer by the end of his BW career, but he would have had a tough time with courage still. An important thing to remember is that Korean amateurs were really good, at least on the level of top foreigners.

He had been training for years. Brood War was just hard.

Courage is extremely hard to win. Jaedong failed courage like 8 or 9 times before he finally won one. I really doubt Idra could've won one, although that doesn't mean he was a bad BW player.

God I hate this tier talk.
That is not how Starcraft works.
So explain how what I said was wrong?
A largely roach army with some ling support is always going to get stomped by stalker/sentry/immortal. A roach/ling army with either infestors or hydras will have a much better chance of winning the battle.
This isn't how starcraft works because you are not mentioning economy or cost effectiveness and primarily sticking to the notion that because a unit is higher (read:More advanced) on the tech tree it must be cost efficient to units lower on the tech tree, which is of course not always correct. Zealots are better than stalkers against lings for the cost, as an example.
I dunno who started this idea of "tier 1/2/3" or whatever but I wish people would stop since it describes the game very poorly.
A better way to say what you said earlier would be "Greg why you (grammar in context) stick on low tech units when TT1 has appropriate tech to handle that unit composition." All of a sudden we have an expression that is exact, and thought and discussion provoking. Someone would probably respond with a statement regarding the specific economics and dynamics of the game, and learning can begin.
Or even better "How come you did not tech switch." Boiling the game down this way makes it unambiguous how to answer it.
Related note, Im a big fan of well mannered players that do right by the community that backs them to begin with. While it is true that the Korean e-sports scene used to (at least in my opinion) be so well mannered it became almost sterile, there is obviously a line on the other side as well.
I think what a lot of people don't really think about is that when they are beaten on the ladder or tournament and they say something like "Wow you are such a fucking noob," what does that say about the player himself?
I mean, he just got beat by a noob right? I'm serious here, why do people do this?
I love it when Idra is well mannered and tactile and right to the point.

When you are cheesed, all-in'd, or beat by any other strat that requires little skill one can be labeled a "fucking noob"
