I can't speak for Violet, but Ret and Haypro are kind of bad at ZvZ tbh...

Losing to the seeded player.. but then powering through like a baws to atleast top 3 and maybe even a victory!

And this doesn't happen only to the weaker, its happens with everyone, even Idra itself. Its a big pressure playing for such high things and with so many people judging every move you do. My point is, no matter who you are, you will always be nervous to play against some1 like Idra and vice-versa, so, sometimes is a matter of experience and cold blood. So in this field Idra has a lot of experience. But its still a game, and most of the times you must fear you'r own mistakes more than your opponent's strategies....I haven't seen idra losing a macro game for a long time, that's why every1 tries to end the game as soon as possible when playing against him, and we all know that, and we also know that Idra is a bit weak against cheese or special tactics (mostly because of being unable to scout), but this time i seriously think that he will face many opponents that do not depend on cheese to get a victory, so i expect great games from everyone, and yes, i do hope Idra plays against stephano because it will be some epic games for sure. I don't expect nothing less from Idra than his beast mode on. So please, remember that idra's macro game is one of the best ever, and any game he can get to that point will certanly be a win. A little more hope in the Gracken please x) P.S.: I've seen a lot of people in stream's chat trying to defend Idra after a loss, but sometimes, you make a fool of yourself, and a bad example of Idra's fans, so if Idra does lose a game to cheese or whatever, just ignore the haters x) (i'm saying it here just in case of any of those people reads or come here)

Good building placement, like Evo blocking at natural etc, don't let him get up your ramp. I really don't know anything else :s If you do go muta ling bling, and you defend, you are in a great spot though ;o

It might not be a cost effective battle but at least you retain your drones and stock up on gas. and complete surround of that army with spines will clean it up.

Having an early macro hatch will cut a bit on tech or economy, but will make these timings much easier. At the same time, there is the potential for a little bit of pressure, although not a serious amount. The drone disadvantage can be recovered from, as production will be greatly increased, and the higher ling count early game would mean a stronger map presence. The downside is that muta pressure come at a later time, a rather big downside, which also means the 3rd isn't as easy to take, and can't prevent T from taking his or her own third. Perhaps this kind of style would be more viable with a hard-to-take 3rd, where speedlings would effectively stop a fast terran 3rd for some time.

Marauders rip through buildings you are better off putting a spine there and the evo elsewhere. if a terran double expands vs you and you dont just go flatten all his expos after killing his push you are doing something wrong.
