I just saw them but i actually didn't pay much attention cause i'm at work....but first game was blue flame helions...did lots of damage early game...killing more than 20 drones if i'm not mistaken...idra remade drones and double expanded while major went tech heavy, lots of thanks, helions and thors.....idra tech up to muta, did some harrass, and after a while tech up to brood+infestor, basicly mind controled 2 or 3 thors and fungal in a heavy amount of viking and major was left with no anti air, consequently losing his army.
2º game, another healion opening...not to many casualties, close positions by ground and air, same thing from idra with muta+lings and then tech up to inf+broods, but major massed ghosts, idra was a bit slow expanding and major cutted the reinforcements from the other bases....sniped broods, emp infestors....idra out.
3º game reaper oppening with about 3 or 4 reapers...didn't do any damage...passive game, idra expanded and macroed as he wished, so the game was over at 15 minutes basicly....but in the end same thing than previous game....brood/infestor/ling vs Thor/ghost/tank.....but idra had a huge macro advantage, huge economy, just remade units and won with some nice fungals and all....took advantage of unsieged tanks...

Just got back from IPL3!
Huge tournament, great atmosphere, awesome players, awesome conclusion! Slot machines are evil money-eating robots though, so stay away from them.
Got to briefly say hi to IdrA and InControL outside the theater -

So the MLG Global Invitational website says Idra and Major haven't played yet? But reading these posts they DID play? I didn't miss it did I? T_T

The one thing that gave IdrA a huge advantage was not the reaper opening itself. It was that marine + reaper push Major did that he lost to a bunch of lings and 2 banelings like a silver leaguer.

I have no doubt that you are right, but as i said before, i was not able to pay much attention to the games since i am at work x). therefore i did not see it but i heard the casters going nuts about something (maybe that?)....

The finals should be a walk in the park then. He will start up 2-0 against Sheth or 2-1 against Major. The games will be played/has been played on 1.4.0 (all his games so far were played on 1.3.x, but the NA losers bracket game today was on 1.4, so the finals would be as well.)
