I read and I watch vids to see if there's any substance in here. Occasionally there'll be some, but for the most part just a bunch of garbage in here. Spammed pictures, little content, essentially no discussion. It gets annoying having to sift through pages of stuff just to find maybe one or two posts that contain any worthwhile substance.
I feel like a dolt writing this, but after reading this I feel as if this is partially directed at me, I've spent a lot of time on this thread recently so I constantly reply to random things often with un-insightful comments, sorry about derailing things with all the Twitter talk and starting an SNSD ranking a few pages back. I'll just go ahead and take a break and lurk for a while. Sorry brahs.
Although I adamantly believe that there should be a rule against ranking sone's added to the top (because come-on there are only three that actually matter anyway) its a mistake many have made.

1. Suzy is probably my favorite maknae right now. She pretty much always looks good, with no bad angles and is still attractive with little to no makeup. Her personality is quite dorky, but her cuteness/appeal seems genuine and not an act. She's not the best at aegyo or acting sexy, but manages to appeal regardless. She had her chubby phase, but I didn't think it was as big a deal as most people.
I get the Krystal appeal, but I can't help but feel like she'd blend right in amongst the Asian girls I see here in LA all the time. Plus, I get the bratty impression from her for some reason. Ga-in has her moments, but is one of those who looks her best with a heavy makeup on, which is a bit of a negative for me. Seohyun is so stiff and boring most of the time, and comes off as a bit of a try-hard or phoney to me when she's trying to be cute or appealing. When not acting or trying to be cute, her natural expression makes her look uptight and stern.
2. Ellin ~ Soyul > Gummi > Twins IMO. I can't get over that the twins look like Kan Mi Yeon, who I have never found attractive. The group's appeal to me is that they are cute, but don't come off as trying too hard or being over the top. Their songs are catchy and cute, and I really like their choreography as it goes well with the music and their image. They're not the most talented or most attractive group, but I think they have an identity and execute it well.
3. Agree that BoA's choreography in her new song doesn't seem to match the music. It's intricate and impressive on its own, but it seems to completely ignore the music. I agree with the contrast to Taeyang's choreography which usually does a very good job of matching the music and conveying the emotions involved. BoA is very talented for sure, but this was not one of her better songs or performances.

Agree with this paragraph. I like bitchy PJY but the difference between her and Krystal is that bitchy PJY seems to be more of an overtired/on stage trying to be sexy in a perf type thing, and with Krystal it's the opposite, where on stage she's smiley or whatever like idols are supposed to be but in a lot of BTS/variety she looks/acts real bitchy. I like the bitchy look but not the actual bitchy attitude.

I thought Suzy in Dream High was rather poor in terms of looks. Maybe it's because she kept sharing screen time with Taec and Ham but idk, it just wasn't her best imo.
I don't think you quite get the Krystal appeal. That is her appeal. Sort of spoiled, bitchy, entitled, pseudo Korean-American valley girl. As for Seohyun, it's true she gives the stiff/uptight underclassmen vibe.. which also has a market.

Not sure if Jiyeon is considered maknae anymore. If she is, I like her quite a bit but she still falls behind Suzy a bit. Sometimes hard not to notice how close together her eyes are
I think it's more that there's so many of the Krystal type, there's no real reason to idolize or moon over it. Seohyun... I wouldn't fanboy over her but i'd def hit it from the back.
On Ga-In, her heavy makeup, kind of naive sluttiness is exactly what I love about her. She's pale, dainty, and looks like she wants to explore so many bad things.
