Maybe not keeping up with the thread closely enough eh? ^^ It's news to you that SNSD is popular? ('o' ) Sorry~~, I didn't mean to be mean! T.T I just assumed since you live in Korea that would be self-explanatory. ㅋㅋㅋ

I knew SNSD was popular but not quite to the extent I had previously thought ㅡㅡ;; But honestly, if you have not listened to "illa illa" by Juniel, you're missing out! ><

BUT ALSO DUDE I totally thought you were that girl for the longest time, then I thought you were a guy, but then I read that SMTown 2012 blog and the picture at the end made me think you were the GIRL, but then I realized you're a guy -__- so. freaking. awkward lolol. Well it's all good now, realized because I really wanted to get to the bottom of things and I ![]() Well it's good that the rage has died down. Maybe sometimes it's just good to have a reality check and realize that when someone says "x sucks/rocks" they *usually* mean "I personally think x sucks/rocks", and are not stating that as fact. I almost always add in something along the lines of "I think" anyway though hehe

On the SNSD thing, I don't hate them, but they haven't promoted a song I liked since Oh! and whenever I've tried listening to an album of theirs I have regretted the time spent. As far as this thread goes, you can put me firmly in the hater camp because I honestly believe they are living off their looks and Gee, and this is KMD, so whenever someone gushes over some awful track of theirs I feel compelled to say so. Not reserved for SNSD at all, that fx album for example was horrendous. This thread would lose all meaning if it was taboo to say something is bad. That's not a discussion.

Of course that's just a thought and would never happen, and I'm sure we're all happy with where we're at. Not exactly quality discussion but a good source of content where posters think for themselves for the most part. KMD > TL That's a funky thought :o

First of all, I feel like having kids in your name when you're a group of older idols is just dumb, and when you add gang in front of it, you're invoking the image (at least to Americans) of wannabe teenage gangsters from some waspy neighborhood in suburbia. This image is further worsened by replacing the s with a z in kid(z) which is something 10 year olds did on AOL to seem cool. The whole name is just mistake onto mistake. Take your other examples, T-ara and Girl's Day. T-ara doesn't look like anything special spelling wise, sounds like Tiara, which is a crown worn by female royalty, fitting for a girl group. Now if this was a guy group calling themselves T-ara it just wouldn't fit. Girl's Day, follows along the lines of Girls' Generation. To me girl is less of a kiddy connotation then kids is, mostly because we use girl all the time to describe adult women, girlfriend, girl's night out, etc, whereas kids is almost exclusively used to identify teenagers and younger. Edit: I will say that before they started "graduating" ppl I thought AS had the dumbest name ever, didn't make sense except for the fact that "Ah" had a schoolgirl concept, now I just think its a mildly stupid name, I do love their songs though. + Show Spoiler [PS] + Can we stop the excessive emoticons before they get out of control. I'd rather not read things like they were posted by a 14 yr old girl

Their title track was catchy, the name wouldn't seem odd to a Korean, which leaves only their age as a problem because they look pretty damn good.
