Singing is a quality that, in their world, ranks among "eye smile", "dancing proficiency" or "long legs". It's not a 1-proficiency-business (and if it were, it wouldn't be singing). Seeing Ailee being able to sing while fulfilling all the other idol tasks (moving, smiling, looking good) is proof of a prowess we rarely get to see in this industry.
I don't see what's so hard to get.
That's not how Ailee's being marketed.
Except the part where that's completely false.
What a blisteringly incisive argument. Bravo!
You realize your entire "argument" is "LOOK GUYS, SHE COVERED BEYONCE THEREFORE SHE IS A BEYONCE WANNABE! IT'S EVIDENCE SINCE I SAID SO BEFORE!"
It's completely inane and outright ignorant. She has no parallels to Beyonce whatsoever and is filling a completely different niche in the Korean market.
I'm guessing you don't have ears. And no that's not my argument.
Look, this whole fucking argument is stupid. Your "ssue" is that Ailee is being promoted as a really good singer. Well, of course she would be. Compared to other idols she's really fucking good. She's on par with any solo singer and pretty much any group main vocalist. What the fuck do you think her company will do in her situation? They're going to market the shit out of her singing abilities. Apparently you think that a good marketing scheme to do so is to say "Hey look guys, we have this singer. She's like, not as good as a non-idol singer but she's pretty cute and shit so love her anyway!". That's fucking retarded and no one's going to do that. She has a good voice for an idol and an average one for a regular singer, they're going to market it, and you never market something by qualifying it's strengths. They're going to say she's one of the best singers because that's how you market things, and you're getting pissed because of it.
No one is saying that she's on par with Adele or Beyonce or anything, but this is a thread that primarily talks about idols and Ailee has a good voice FOR AN IDOL, so yes we are going to say she's a pretty good singer.
And your argument seems to be telling everyone who disagrees with you how mentally disabled they are so I don't know why I even bothered.
Actually, your points make a lot more sense to me than Craton's convulsions. I didn't understand the context people were talking from when they gushed on and on about Ailee's vocals. Now that I add in the ghost phrase (for an idol) after each of their raves, it makes a lot more sense. She's good... for an idol. Her voice so good... for an idol. I can agree with that assessment.
Although, I never knew there was this distinction between idol and singer. There are plenty of American singers with fantastic voices who are also very pretty. Is this a distinction only made in Kpop? I guess I'm just not familiar with the concept of an idol. I just viewed everyone involved with music as either a singer, an instrument player, or both.
That miss A album... I'm disappointed, JYP I guess there are 2 or 3 good (or decent) songs in there, but sadly they will promote "touch" and not the other songs. The performance better be the best thing ever to make up for it.

Quite like touch myself, the girls look pretty damn good in that MV. The rest of the songs were kind of meh, might start to like them after a few tries. Except for lips, that was truly just awful.
@ Below, agreed with min looking especially gorgeous in the video and i usually think shes at the bottom of the group in terms of looks.
Jenny Hyun, who is a songwriter for SNSD & Chocolat and is an artist herself, recently went on a racist rampage, outing herself as a bigot and mentally unstable as well.
While the title is harsh, I assure you she deserves every bit of it after her Twitter rant laden with racism towards black people.
Yes, you read that correctly, she actually did call for the genocide of black people, which I don’t even know how to explain in words because it’s so fucking insane. Frighteningly, that’s only one of many out-of-this-world racist statements that she makes throughout the tirade.
Ironically though, she’s angry that people aren’t respectful of Asians, so suffice to say, she has difficulty understanding what actions earn respect.
What the fuck was going through her head when she wrote that shit?
“You know what will help Asians earn respect? An Asian version of Adolf Hitler … played by me!“
Something like that?
Wonderful. Way to carry that torch, you insane fuck.

So what sparked this rant?
Floyd Mayweather‘s tweet about Jeremy Lin.
Jeremy Lin is a good player but all the hype is because he’s Asian. Black players do what he does every night and don’t get the same praise.
So yeah, she suggested the genocide of black people because a fucking boxer who is black suggested that Jeremy Lin is getting hyped more because he’s Asian and not black.
What Floyd Mayweather said is wrong, and his dislike for Asians is well documented, going back to his racist rant against Manny Pacquiao. However, being racist back (and disturbingly so) certainly isn’t the answer.
Oddly enough, Jeremy Lin himself is an example of how you break down walls. By putting in the work, performing like a fucking bauce, and setting an example for those that follow. Not by going on Twitter and blabbing on and on about vapid bullshit like Jenny Hyun just did.
What does she think she’s accomplishing by making Asians look bad by launching into a racist tirade on Twitter and then saying she doesn’t regret her words.
Delusional. Ignorant. Racist.

Needless to say, Jenny Hyun crossed the line. She crossed the line in a gigantic way.
Worse yet, she’s a public figure. Maybe not a popular one with influence, but somebody who makes money selling music and who puts herself out there to the people at large. The fact that she felt completely comfortable expressing those thoughts, especially given her chosen career path, is disturbing.
Personally, I’m fucking disgusted by her and I feel fucking embarrassed that she attempts to speak for me as both an Asian and as an Asian American through her bigoted verbal diarrhea that she tries to prop up as logical truth telling.
It’s a complete mystery to me why anybody of any race continues to support her or employ her. To look the other way in regards to this overt display of hatred is to condone it through inaction, so I sincerely hope she has to answer for her words, specifically to the companies who employ her.
Okay guys, listen up! You are threatening me with the fact that you know my address. You guys have also started to roar your engines every so often outside of my home. I get it. This is my official apology to the black community.
I do not regret what I said, however, I now understand that there are some lines one cannot cross.
Please take this apology and do what you will with it, but hopefully, everyone will remember to stay calm, cool and collected and remember that violence is not the answer.
Riiight, you're gonna apologize, but you don't regret what you say.
I thought this was pretty outrageous, and thought you guys should know about it.
Been discussed a few pages back, we now know she has some mental problems
