It's such an easy watch and so enjoyable. No way you will regret it if you watch it. I'm holding you onto this. There are people who haven't watched Servant x Service? wow I should like watch it or something. wow so much happiness in the opening theme. Lol I thought basically everyone in this thread had seen it because while it aired it was talked about a lot. Hitsugi no Chaika really is shaping up to be a really solid show. That dream scene was pretty hilarious. I'm surprised he didn't figure it out when she wasn't speaking in broken japanese though.

can anyone who read volumes 6-17 of spice n wolf tell me if it's worth reading even though the ending sucks?
|
I gave up somewhere around vol 8 or 9, little improvement. Judging from that and Billionare Girl being a pretty pathetic manga I'd say chances are pretty stacked against the rest of spicy wolf being worth any time.

didn't billionare girl end in like 15 chapters?
|
2 vols or something with like 7 or 8 chapters each vol I think? So sounds about right. His new series probably has more potential in manga form if just for moe furry art.
|
what criteria are you using as metrics for 'improvement'? I'm actually just seeking more advancement/closure in terms of their relationship than anything
|
I read them all. I enjoyed them, but I was/am a really big Holo fan so take that as you will. I also really can't believe I didn't see the ending coming (what they named their + Show Spoiler +). Also I didn't really think the ending sucked that much. It wasn't this big grandiose thing but I felt like that suited the simple merchant thing a lot more.

Anyone keeping up with Tonari Kaibutsu manga?
Im like borderline into reading it.

Billionaire Girl is 3 vols / 17 ch (and extras?). MC-chan is cute so I'm not complaining.

Im like borderline into reading it. Already finished the manga. I find it underwhelming when the manga was closing to the end but i like the end itself.

Will probably turn out to be evil or at least some kind of uncaring being who is using the girls for his own end. you're probably better off spoilering that stuff. I'm making Souma watch it too!

Billionaire Girl is finished? The manga I have been reading is still being updated and doesn't seem close to being over. I don't think its that bad, good enough to not drop.

There's two chapters left.
Sales and polling usually decide the drop.

The novel does have closure, though the second half of the series got pretty weird.

Pretty sure subs have not come out, but I imagine that you can probably predict where the story is going just from the trailer.
Some random guy on MAL thinks otherwise though:
+ Show Spoiler +On surface it's a simple story of confession, love sickness, and answer, as you mostly see in the trailers. But the movie has certain depth as a story of family, friends, lost love, maturing, and overcoming of burdens. The overall direction is what it saves from banality and makes it stand out among hundreds of ordinary love stories. That aspect isn't fully revealed in the trailers. Like Kyoto cuisine known for its refined and light taste, Kyoto Animation executes this movie brilliantly with elegance and subdued touch; simple is the best. For three weeks in row since premiere Tamako Love Story has been topping the mini-theaters' ranking in Japan. Although it's a "small" film shown at limited number of theaters, it has been the second most tweeted film after Disney's Frozen shown at the same time. Animator Hiroshi Nishikiori (director of Azumanga Daioh and Magical Index) has praised the film; scriptwriter Jukki Hanada (Steins Gate, Love Live!) confessed his "defeat" and "deep love" to the movie "with tears rolling down while walking the streets". Animation critics have praised it as a "classic" and one of the "achieved heights of Japanimation". As of 12 May, 2014, Yahoo film! comment has a 4.13 score out of 87 review comments (including those giving 1 point for the sake of dissing apparently without even seeing the actual movie). Coco film twitting site has 94% approval out of 60,835 tweets. Tamako Love Story will probably remain a moderate commercial success and not a major blockbuster movie like K-On!. It won't have a large and deep fan base comparable to Haruhi. It is an "unexpected hit" which spun out of the TV series faring rather disappointing disc sales. But I think it can't be denied that the overall quality of the movie wins over K-On! Movie and The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. It's the best of KyoAni so far. It could be the best love story told in an animation movie format produced in Japan. If you think all this is hyped- watch, then tell. I don't know about the K-On Movie since i have not seen it but i can vow that The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya is pretty damn good.
So this is some anime movie that is on the level of Wolf's Children or 5 cm per second(arguably since the movie is deep or the audience might just be overthinking) if that guy is right. If not then it should just be a generic high school stuff.
I'll be waiting for the subs then and judge it myself.

He also has only watched 4 anime movies and gave that Hanasaku Iroha movie a score higher than a 5. Confirmed irrelevant opinion. xD

do you want to watch it?
I only ask if something is good if I'm not sure I want to watch it.
