Angel Beats 9 was good. Probably the only flashback that I felt was actually somewhat tragic. However, the fact that it took him 9 episodes to realize that everything was a misunderstanding makes me feel like everything I sat through is pointless now...
The UTW-Thora translation of Eva 2.22 is out. I think I'll get that one in non-bandwidth raping 720p.

Yeah, the SS in question tells the tale of how he came to get the hat from Tessa's dad. It is in a way more of a backstory for Tessa and Leonard than it is for Mardukas, but it was good.
As for a 'misunderstanding' in AB, dunno, I feel like what they did had a purpose and use even if it was misguided.

i need help identifying a cartoon i saw on tv about 10 years ago. i have only vague memories, it's in japanese style and the story revolves around a world where there is like a futuristic city floating above some derelict city, the citizens of the floating city are rich etc and they literally throw their trash into a giant pile in the crappy city below. the story focussed on a bunch of guys living in the derelict city (it might be future tokyo, not sure)
the characters i think are some kind of robot or magic or whatever. i remember one scene where a guy tries to climb up a pipe to the floating city but gets his limbs chopped off by some razor thing sliding down the pipe. another scene i remember is some guy uses his index finger to slice another guy in half vertically in a fight

Wasn't this series the one that James Cameron wanted to do but couldn't due to tech limitations, so he's doing it sometime soon in the future?

Highly depends on your tastes, what suits one person here wont suit the other but this is a good place to ask provided you give a clear inspection of what you actually like watching
Some people love lucky star to bits, some people absolutely despise SEL, some people think AB is the shit, some people just love moe moe, some people are really just happy with naruto/bleach, some people are obsessed with dark stuff
Personally i like to see myself as a shallow, moe/romance lover mostly lol

The ending to Soul Eater anime was a joke. Seriously, BONES killed off Medusa just like that?
When BONES churned out their own stuff, it went from a complex story to good versus evil.
