I stopped reading High School of the Dead when it went on Hiatus. There was a surprisingly large amount of fanservice for an apocalyptic zombie infestation scenario. Though, given that the author used to write/draw ero manga, it really shouldn't be that surprising...

Any word on whether eva 2.22 blue-ray has been subbed yet? =)

yeah too much fanservice for me too , and eva 2.22 bluray out if you look in tokyo toshokan .

2.22 has been subbed by a few guys, but I've never heard of any of these groups before. It might be safer to wait for a more well known group, considering the size of the download...

Edit: By the way, is Valkyria Chronicles worth watching?

Not really, but I quite liked the game and might be biased on this score. In all the game felt like it handled the story much better.

Sega is still big I guess~ A quick look at the reviews show decent scores, nothing groundbreaking for the critics it seems, but nothing to bash on really. I personally quite enjoyed the combat mechanics, and thought that the art was amazing...though the combat mechanics quickly degenerated into having Alicia charge through the battlefield, invincible and capable of taking multiple turns in a row.

Yes, wrong game. I was thinking of some random H-game with a very similar name. *facepalm*

I don't think the anime was good; a lot of people complained about the change in art, too. That said I dropped the anime in like 4 episodes, so I didn't really give it too much of a chance.

The game mechanics were great, but that hardly matters in an anime ;pppp

The change in art was really disappointing, then again, those of us who paid attention to Kishida Mel's original concept art for Sora no Woto got the worst deal yet in form of moeblob version, imo way worse TT

Personally I thought they'd try to incorporate the mechanics into the anime some, the whole running for cover and leapfrogging and all. Instead we just get stuffed with pretty random events

Oh wait, I think ETERNAL was coming out with a new game soon, hmm. But I didn't like their most recent game that much ;x

From what I heard about Amagami they're going to animate each heroine's version of the story. Still doesn't make up for the fact that it's AIC doing it.

Well it'll still be a while until we can finally see how AIC + DEEN will screw this season up

Loved how the girl was singing the song from... Doraemon? I think? <3 Nostalgia. And I found it really bizarre how 02 was doing all this acrobatic stuff. Like woah, did I just wander through the TTGL door? That was around when I went, "okay, I don't have the heart to watch this right now..."

ETERNAL's game isn't due till next month, and I doubt you'd like it. Though as a SLG (RPG) fan I am going to take a poke at it for sure. From the looks of things, they have two teams inhouse, this one is probably handled by the team that did Nega0...which actually wasn't bad at all plot wise. Nothing that looks particularly amazing this month, though propeller has a new game, and their last one was fun.

I was actually going to take a look at Amagami just out of curiosity of how they'd port that into anime, but in all honesty June will just be a month filled with temptations to buy more books with a crappy looking season + no SC2 beta

Eva had someone singing song from Doraemon? Why, best reason to watch it yet far as I am concerned -.-

Uhh, the girl, with glasses, was singing something very nostalgia-inducing, but I don't remember what song it was (I don't remember the tune/lyrics anymore it was late last night >_> ) and my best random guess would be Doraemon. It was something old, though.

SLG/RPG is fun, but it looked like it was done by the people that did Tenkuu something something and that game was also kinda meh. I miss Spirit of Eternity Sword

What they got is decent from a plot point of view, though can't really compare on to the epic level of Spirit of Eternity Sword.

Speaking of Spirit of Eternity Sword, Eien no Aselia had a special edition release. Wonder if Xuse is just trying to milk all the money they can manage from it since the last of the triology is practically impossible. Such a shame.

Mari was singing nostalgic things? Why, even more good reasons to watch Eva

I am actually desperately trying to keep things on topic, but there is so little material that I can use ...we can talk about how Katanagatari 5 finally had Togame go to Satsuma and learn of chesto?

Valkyria Chronicle was terrible, mainly because they tried to target the female audience when it's a war story. (WTF romance triangle, get out of my face). And Welkin became out of character just for the said target audience.

Only reason why I'm going to watch 2.22 is because of the mecha and Mari, lol.

You should watch it for the post-credits scene too. It brought back nightmarish memories of EoE for me. If anything, I think it's indicative that not everything's gonna be fun and games from here on in, which is great. But that remains to be seen.

VC is supposed to be war-themed, with like dueling tacticians and what not. Sounds good... but it's so sanitized and so filled with anime tropes that you'd expect in some kind of high school shoujo, it's not even funny.

Honestly, I thought Eva 2.22 was nice. I'm not particularly fixated on the original storyline, and I'm perfectly fine that they're expanding and expounding on it.
