I am sure it gets better ![]() I was really excited for that scene too. It had some awesome cinematography; I especially loved the wide shot of Joffrey on the throne and Tywin at the bottom of the steps. The actor who plays Joffrey is pretty awesome, I could feel his intimidation.

It seems to be shot in the same area and it'd probably further bran's storyline with the Warging thing. Jaime's scene was shot in the same area, too. In fact, it confused the hell out of me for the first few seconds when I saw Jaime in the same general area as Jon.

Her father was beheaded right in front of her. She was torn away from all of her family, and far as she knows, most of them could be dead. The closest thing she had to a new family (Hot Pie and Gendry) were also recently taken away from her -- Gendry by force by the man whom she was just starting to at least sort of trust. She is completely alone as a vulnerable like 12 year old girl, and what does she turn to? The one man who last truly understood her, Syrio, and his teachings about the God of Death. She's a little girl who has been through the most not counting Theon and has every justification to being the way she is. I can't imagine any person being 12 years old and watching their father being beheaded and everyone they love being ripped away from them not being a little sullen. Not to mention the last thing she remembers from Syrio is that whole "What do we say to the God of Death? Not today" thing, and the whole thing with Jaqen where she was liberated from captivity through death. In fact she threatened death to Jaquen to get him to help her escape. Death literally set her free. Death is an integral part to Arya so far in this story. I just don't get people calling her emo, unless they flat out haven't been paying attention or are jumping in on Season 3 and don't know the context of her actions. /end pointless rant

Jaime is in Harrenhal, heading to kings landing.

Jon and Bran are both somewhere in the North, but south of the Wall. Jaime is in/just leaving Harrenhal, which is way far south of them.

Her relationship with death isn't emo, it's all a desire for vengeance.

In addition to this, the growing discontent lead to Lord Karstark losing his head. Bolton is just trying to cover all of his bases, so in the case the North loses the war (they have less men and less gold), he will be in good standing with the Lannisters. Catlyn said it best to Robb in season 2: "Treat your vows recklessly and so will your men". Yeah but right now he's with Starks and he openly disobeyed Robb's others. I understand that Bolton might think about switching sides. I don't understand how he is going explain his decision to Robb.

I think it was a pretty good description of what's wrong with a lot of viewers. They don't even try to understand the characters. Their intellectual engagement with the story is virtually nil. It's also why there will always be more TV viewers than there will be readers. Reading typically requires a higher level of engagement.

If the wildlings had won once, wouldnt you think they would make sure its written somewhere? Do you think there would still be crows manning the Wall? I mean, it wouldve left some scars.

The number of repeated or "extensions" to scenes is pretty damn pointless. Doesn't add to the story, doesn't add to the characters. Pretty much seems like it's getting the Hobbit treatment now (more content = more $$$).

There hasn't been a single episode where you've been like holy shit I want to see what happens in the next (unlike in the previous two seasons). And thank fucking god for that! A show that desperately tries to keep your attention by throwing cliffhangers and "holy shit" moments just for the sake of having holy shit moments at you would be far worse. Just watch LOST if you want to know what I'm talking about.
