He will go from a character I hate but may end up being a positive influence on the stability of the realm. He has experienced the good(Ned) and bad(Dad, crazy dude) of rulership thus will have a vested interest in backing a cause that he believes in. Onion knight has no penis or fingers? And he's being tortured?

I don't think they want to conquer or anything, I think they just want to get away from the undead dudes. I don't think Robb has to worry about getting backstabbed by a big wildling horde, they'll probably just get south of the wall and hang out in the forest / start building shelter somewhere where they're unlikely to get attacked by knights and stuff. from the shot we got at the end of the episode it looks like there's a lot of empty space to settle in Before Mance they were all just small tribes and such. He has rallied them under one banner, and strenght in numbers should not be underestimated. Besides, they can do quite some damage to families and such before the formal Wetseros armies could mop them all up. So all in all I can understand that having these barbarians, that formerly were just raiders, become organized would be a frightening prospect. At least for the people in the North. Imagine someone rallying all the Vikings under one banner.

That didn't turn out so well, that being said it isn't exactly the same situation but still relevant imo.

No, Stannis cut off the tips of his fingers as punishment for smuggling. He kept the tips of his fingers in a pouch around his neck and it's probably those that he lost during the explosion.

If you mean that he lost the fingers from his hand during the Blackwater battle, then no, Stannis cut them as punishment for being a smugler when he smuggled food into Storm's End and saved him and other from starvation during Robert's rebellion. He kept the fingers as a good luck charm but lost them during Blackwater.

I don't think it was the specific act of smuggling during the war that he cut them off for, rather he was always a smuggler who simply supported Stannis at Storm's End during the rebellion.

You need to see also that the Wildlings most likely have no way of reliably assessing their own numbers. "Hundreds and thousands" for them is probably as precise as "more than we can count". The area north of the wall is large, but I doubt that much of it is suitable for agriculture. If the wildlings rely on hunting and gathering then the population density would be very sparse. It would make sense that there are far less wildlings than there are people in the north (Stark lands). Based on that reasoning, even if the wildlings have all their women and old people with them they probably don't have an army much bigger than Robb's.

The climax in this scene made my head explode as it felt, I had tolook away and am still feeling uncomfortable thinking about it. I think that was the intended effect, haha Loving the torture scenes

No the Freys are/were pissed due to Robb not completing the terms of the alliance (marrying a Frey) since he is already married. So instead they ask for his Tully uncle. So it's "in place of". Someone said that Robb act like a spoiled brat not listening to councils. Robb is acting as much honorably as he can. He executed Karstark because he betrayed him even though he would lose half his army. I'd agree those are terrible decisions for the "Game of Thrones", but they come from something... Robb is Ned Stark's son and he's making the same mistakes, probably living by what his father taught him (for example, he executes people himself like Ned), he's too honorable when he needs to be sneaky. As for the marriage with the medic, I'd agree it's an egocentric choice but he's young and... love !

The freys stand to tie themselves into two royal families, or just the Tullys depending how you interpret it. The kid who was breastfeeding at like 12 is lord now. with a lord protector (his mother) making decisions. Similar to how joffrey was supposed to be.
