Its the ruse they used back when they captured Jaime and defeated half the Lannister armies.

if I remember correctly, the Lannisters had 2 huge armies. So Robb sent 2k into one army as a ruse, so he had time and cover to smash the other army and capture Jamie.
oh, and there are probably not 100k+ Wildlings hundreds and thousands is not hundreds of thousands, much more likely n*100 + x*1000, so probably < 10k army (else they would have said tenth of thousands or something like that). Would not make much sense either, having so many ppl living north the wall from eating snow. They would starve too quickly.

I've been skimming through the last two seasons, sorry - but do the other families know of Daenery's whereabouts and the army's she is starting? It seems like they are mostly concerned about revenge and forgetting the important stuff like The Wall, and so on. EDIT: Thanks.

They only know rumors, they know she is alive and they keep hearing rumors about her having 3 dragons, but they don't believe it. Basically they are all like "Yeah she is alive, whatever. She is far away and doesn't concern us at all at the moment."

some girl on the other side of the world is surprisingly uninteresting when a man down the road is trying to kill you.

whatever happened with lord pycell or w/e, the old guy that pretended to be more old then he really was and who hates tyrion?
if robert was still king dany would probably be dead, he was the only one with concern for her.

Did you not see their massive camp they had when Jon Snow was brought to meet Mance? It was absolutely massive way bigger than Tywin's camps when Tyrion came back with the tribesmen.

Yeah but that's ALL the wildlings not just soldiers right? So the entire population north of the wall... young, old, women and children etc.

In terms of emancipation a woman is equal to a man in regard that wildling women join in combat Very sexy haha

The women can be considered soldiers too though as far as we know.
You need to see also that the Wildlings most likely have no way of reliably assessing their own numbers. "Hundreds and thousands" for them is probably as precise as "more than we can count".

The Theon torture needs to stop. I found that scene extremely disturbing the acting was all too well and so was the detail. The climax in this scene made my head explode as it felt, I had tolook away and am still feeling uncomfortable thinking about it.

I'd also rather translate "hundreds and thousands" (old school/fantasy speech) into "a gazillion" (intahnetspeak) than "100mb"

Other Question: are there blue eyed undead Giants? ^^ That would be awesome.

lets also not forget that the wildlings don't really have any weapons or armor... or supply lines. even if they were to get through the wall, they would have to feed their entire population entirely through pillage, while fighting soldiers with significantly better equipment. I don't think they want to conquer or anything, I think they just want to get away from the undead dudes. I don't think Robb has to worry about getting backstabbed by a big wildling horde, they'll probably just get south of the wall and hang out in the forest / start building shelter somewhere where they're unlikely to get attacked by knights and stuff. from the shot we got at the end of the episode it looks like there's a lot of empty space to settle in

They were able to build the suspense of the mystery surrounding theon without really giving much new information. I thought it was a great scene.
