Hopefully Bran's story actually leads to something happening one day.
Also show is getting a bit like Lost, so many characters that if you see them in an episode, chances are you wont have to tune in next week as they wont be there.
Lol. Trust me, this is already done better than the books.

Ugh. Can't anyone just watch the show without trying to deduce the intentions of the writers of every line in the show and criticizing those assumed intentions?
Westeros has some powerful and important people in it. They say what they want and they make things happen, and some of them happen to be old because they've been doing this for a long time.
Is that something so impossible to exist in the real world? Is it so distracting that an older person would be experienced and powerful and not care to follow every social convention, that it can only make you think "oh the writers are trying too hard to come up with wacky ideas in the name of trying to entertain people"? Sorry but it seems just fine to me.
The only unrealistic part is that the conversations are too succinct and too witty to happen in real life, but guess what- this is TV. Wit and humor are good things, and no one wants to watch a an hour long meeting where they discuss all kinds of things before slowly getting to the point.
I never said a damn thing about the writers. I hate the old chick because her personality is grating, and if you think her personality isnt distinguishable from other people, your autistic. It does, and it differentiates in an annoyingly 'look at me im edgy and blunt' bullshit kind of way.

A really cliched wall scene, a lame montage where little finger gives a speech I'm pretty sure we've already heard, a boring sunset ending shot, and (most importantly) a severe lack of violence and boobies.
I feel like you're watching the wrong show if all that interests you are violence and boobies.
? Seems like the right show to me...
Fairly certain you're looking for Spartacus, not GoT.
Echo. People can't appreciate a story line these days without flashy distractions.

I think you can disagree on GoT without calling someone autistic......come on, have some class.
It's so weird how Cersei and Tywin pronounce "Tyrells" differently :D Cersei says "Tai-rells" with the stress on the first syllable, Tywin says "Tee-rells" with the stress on the second. Any plausible explanation?
You can hear that in the recap at the beginning of episode 5 (it's basically the first thing that is said).

So I found out after watching this episode that there are four countries that I know of in the world of Game of Thrones, Essos, Westeros, Sothoryos and, uh...France? Anyone else have that line by Loras stick right out at them, seemed really out of place haha.

This has already been discussed. He didn't say French.
I really hate the 'my God knows it all and actively guides me' plot line. It is so frustrating. There are these two characters who might be the most wanted persons in Westeros at this moment and every other character is clueless about their location, in addition one of them has a secret that is known to like three people if even. And along comes a 'witch with a vision' riding up to their hide-out just like that. Really? This story arc conclusion is so lame. It feels like the ultimate fantasy / sci-fi cop-out to me.

Could you be nice and tell me what he did say instead? I'm exhausted so maybe I missed it, but it's not in the last 10 pages of this thread from what I saw.

I didn't even think about this. She did kind of find her way to the Brotherhood really quickly.
The Lord of Light is a little OP. Mass Resurrection and GPS.
I'm still interested in it because it has the potential to reveal some of the mechanics of the world, whether these strange magical happenings are actually devine, or magic, or whatever. World building techniques revealed through story. I love it
EDIT: 250!!! I'm a Zergling! Only took me three years.
Did no one else like the climb speech? I got chills in my spine as I heard it lol, thought it was rather epic, especially 'cause you knew that girl was dead and it really gives insight into how Baelish is approaching the Throne: as if it were a game.
Like, if you think about it, Varys gives his entire being to keeping the Realm in check with the Throne; he wants the Throne to be satisfied, he's just another person kissing the feet of the King (albeit one of the smarter ones). We heard a line from Cersei also looking at the Throne as if it were a game (in s1 "In the Game of Thrones, you either live or you die."). Tywin and the Tyrells are also fighting for the Throne in a chess-like manner, and you get the feeling that no one gives a single shit about what happens to the Realm besides the honest few (Ned, Varys, etc.).
In a way, the throne isn't symbol of justice, power, and truth like a seat of power in our world would be. It's not a symbol of ages past when Aegon was bullying Westeros like Baelish said. Instead, it's just an empty tool that serves nothing (by virtue of it constantly being in question in a tumultuous fashion), gives nothing (neither Robert nor Jauffrey really care about shit, they just want to fulfill their desires in a pig-like manner. Robert wanted whores, Jauffrey wanted suffering around him), but yet is the central most figure of everyone's desire.
To make a real obvious comparison, it's just a trophy; you win, the only symbol it gives is that of time: you are the best. For now.
Plus, I loved the imagery Baelish used as well; coming from the understanding that a ladder is a tool to rise up on (like the last scene, when the climb up the wall led them to see a beautiful canvas of a meadow), it does give a twisted view of hope in this bleak time in Westeros. That's also what got me to like it. Those who fall, like those in the climb of this episode, are unluckily never allowed to see the future, instead arguing over why not to climb. Those who don't want to climb, like Sansa, are simply stuck with the worst life ahead of them because they will not try to climb.
Reminds me of The Dark Knight Rises, when he has to go up the pit back to Gotham. It was sick lol

Olena has been one of the most intriguing characters this season for my money.
Highly intelligent, seen it all, an absolute master of conversation (Hi Tyrion), her mind is as fast as a whip, mysterious, has no fear of men. I could go on. She is an amazing character, and the actor playing her executes flawlessly.
I look forward to her scenes as she is so on top of it. No bullshit , or tip-toeing around 'nice-ities', just pure wisdom and logic that floors everyone (I love her focus on content rather than social tip-toeing), well except Tywin cos he knows he had the final 'call' regarding Loras and Cersei as he is 'the kings hand'. Even still she still knew how to push Tywins buttons and had no problem sparring with him.
Tywin/Charles Dance is in fine form, he brings another level regarding acting class. Such a complicated character that Dance plays perfectly.
I really love the series, but it seems to me the pace has slowed down somewhat... feels almost like a soap opera where in every episode a lot of things happen but nothing really happens...
For some reason the previous 2 seasons seemed to have more "plot"...
