Little finger don't love shit lol, shes just the key to the north. If you listened to his epic speech he states love is an illusion, all that is real is the climb. She is the key to allow him to climb higher
No he genuinely loves Catelyn Stark. Sansa looks just like her and even more beautiful and also in her prime. He risked his life in a duel with Brandon Stark to win her, but he lost. He has also admitted he has remained celibate because he is still in love with her. Littlefinger has repeated several times of how she reminds him of her mother as well. The fact that she is the second heir the Winterfell and Robb is in trouble is just a happy coincidence.

Littlefinger, the ship has his sigil, a mockingbird. With 2 feather beds, 1 empty because she chose to stay only to find out she has to marry Tyrion instead of Loras.
Which in my opinion will be better for her than going with Littlefinger.
Theoretically speaking if Robb loses this war Sansa (in the eyes of the Lannister and also everyone who doesn't know that Brandon and Rickon are alive) will be the key to the North... and knowing how ambitious Littlefinger is I can already see what he was planning to do with Sansa!
He's going off to marry Lysa Arryn though, so he'll be lord protector of the Vale. What would he then do with Sansa exactly? We don't know how much Littlefinger knows or doesn't know about Robb's position or the deal he just made with the Freys. He might be hedging his bets by trying to go off with Sansa, but I'm more inclined to believe it's part of his obsession with Catelyn.
At least Tyrion will probably be a better husband for Sansa than Loras, who honestly couldn't give a fuck about her.
Tyrion literally is husband material yet nobody ever wants him

I fail to see how he is husband material. He loves another woman, he is hideous, and he follows his heartless father's commands like a trained dog. The only thing to expect from that relationship is Tyrion to "wed her, bed her, and put a child in her". Plus she is still a hostage really and like I said I believe Tyrion is too weak to defend her from Joffrey. He would try, but he doesn't have the tools and authority he had as acting hand of the king.
Anyone else find the Theon scenes to be like...nothing more than GRRM letting loose his rape fantasies? It serves no discernible purpose in the short to medium term. Hes just getting sadistically tortured. We certainly dont need to see it as often as we do, its long been established the guy torturing theon is just some random sadist. We can go back to it later on and discover who he is, but instead, we see it every episode for 3-4 minutes. And I imagine the books had similar distressingly pointless examples of him getting tortured.

Its creepy.
One cannot really answer this question appropriately in this thread.

Valar Morghulis just means "All men must die" in High Valyrian. Seems like the sort of phrase that would fit right in with an assassin's organization, but yeah I don't know how "secret" it is.
Today's episode the firewitch said "Valar Morghulis" as an introduction. Wasn't that a bit weird? I'm sure normal people say "hello" instead of "all men must die" even in high valyrian? Seems it's a lot more to it than just "all men must die"

Their actions are completely guided by Varys and Littlefinger's battle. Littlefinger defeated Olenna in foiling her plot and feigned loyalty to win the Vale and Harrenhal. He has also bankrupted the crown and I am wouldn't be surprised if the Iron Bank of Bravoos backs him when he enters the war.
I disagree simply because they lack the station and power of Tywin therefore are forced to scheme and plot to meet their ends, they just aren't in his league so must play the game by different rules.
If anyone with greater memory/knowledge of the series so far would care to explore this comparison...
We haven't seen much of Olenna yet so far but I'd place her on par with Tywin purely with her intelligence and experience, I couldn't imagine anyone else challenging Tywin in a battle of wits or discourse.
p.s. Tywin is super awesome!
edit: I don't think the torturing has anything to do with rape fantasies and if anything I'm more curious about what's going on there than any other plot line simply because I just have literally no idea what the hell is going on, although I'm not actually interested in either character otherwise.

Guys try to avoid sentences like this, they are just too tempting for book readers to start spoiling. 1 of the most active discussions in this thread was already spoiled 20 minutes ago for me because of it. Luckily the mods were fast so I hope not many saw it, but I can't discuss it anymore

I object!
I'm asking avid viewers of the TV series to comment more purely on past episodes on that guys comparison of Littlefinger and Varys being the smartest guys and Tywin being in the tier below.
I agree with the first quote though that's just begging for spoilers and sometimes I feel some of these comments are people who have obviously read the books and are just structuring their responses in ways that won't get them banned. -_-
Am I the only one who, above anyone else, desires Olenna a slow and painful death? Compared to her I want Joffrey nothing but happiness and love to the end of his days. Shes so intolerably annoying and poorly written. Oh, look at me, I'm edgy because I'm old and flout convention and say shit abruptly and without tact. Ugh.

Its to emphasize how much torture Theon had to go through. I agree that they should just let us see the end result rather than continuous snippets though. Its a bit discomforting

Everything in this show has a purpose. Haven't read books but I assume at the end of this torture there will be a giant WTF or at least an un-imaginable salvation for Theon maybe. The guy torturing him is doing it for fun but he's being told to do it after-all. Who and where are the big questions and it will probably be worth the wait imo.

She's badass for the sake of being badass, the autor and the show writers basically scream at you "LOOK AT HER, SHE'S SO BADASS THEREFORE SHE'S AWESOME AND SHE MUST BE YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER EVER".
In a story filled with characters like Tywin, Jaime, Varys and even Tyrion she's just shallow and boring. Her character would have been a better fit in a child story like Harry Potter, where children are incredibly brave and competent for no reason and overcome impossible odds to fullfil their magic destiny because the plot armor is too strong.
Nonsense. This sounds like the result of a specific effort to find something to dislike about the show.
There are a lot of characters in the show. Some are cowards, some are schemers, some are loyal, some are cruel, some are brave. One character happens to be brave while also being a child, and you're choosing to talk crap about it just because it reminds you of other stories that stupidly have invincible heroic child characters.
Arya isn't exactly a badass. She's very brave, and has some level of practice with a sword and a bow. She isn't stronger than other characters, she's never been in a battle, and she's been a captive and unable to control her destiny for most of the series. She hasn't been killing bad guys or rescuing people who need help.
She is simply making an effort to get back to her family, and just because she isn't a crying child about it you're unfairly lumping her in with Harry Potter and other teenage superheroes.
