Dubbing is the norm in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, China, Russia and others. So basically in all the major languages / markets.

can we stop the dubbing discussion its rather boring

Of course the original version is way better then the dubbed one, we don't need to argue about that i think, but that doesnt mean that dubbed movies are unwatchable.
The german game of thrones version is really horrible though, they actually translated Jon Snow with "Jon Schnee", which does sound really stupid and reminds me of blizzards wow translations. Directly translating names is a really bad idea and completely unnecessary.
One interesting exception is the tv-series scrubs, imo the german version is way better than the original. While watching it on english it really sounds kinda stupid and flat, and the serious parts of the show actually don't seem to be very serious at all.
I also don't like subs very much because they draw way too much attention of the actual movie, but that may be just because i'm not accustomed to it.

The same is true for the Reeds, who won't appear this Season, either. Quite the pity, really. + Show Spoiler +But catlyn, one of the point of view characters spends a vast portion of CoK in riverrun........ This makes me worry that.... + Show Spoiler +They are going to leave out all the house of the undying scenes with danerys Spoiler tagged for minor spoilers. + Show Spoiler +It looks like Catelyn will hang out at Robb's camp for the most part instead of Riverrun, so she won't have a lot to do and will spend most of the time in the background/talking to Robb. At least that's what I assume. It's a pity, really, but I can understand that they had to cut out parts of the story eventually. Personally, I'm much more annoyed at Bran's story being so shrunk down so far.

Actually, they retranslated the books recently, and the German translation is based on the retranslation, so "Jon Schnee" isn't the fault of the people dubbing the show. Not saying that it doesn't sound awkward, but, eh.

Right now HBO is doing a 30 minute sneak peak.

Wat sneak peak, 30 mins is half the mothafucking episode. Or do you mean the whole series? Winter is coming.

So what's your guys opinion on them killing the main character (lord of winterfell)... I actually disliked the fact that happened, I was pissed becasue he's such a good actor.

He dies in everything that he's in, pretty standard

Tell us more about the sneak peek :D
|
It wasn't really a sneak peak. Just a recap of S1 with actor commentary and a few tidbits about S2 that have already been shown in trailers. I would call it a Behind the Scenes of season one more than anything.

First seconds I thought "Holy shit, Ralph Fiennes is part of the cast now?" Then I realized that David Benioff looked just like him there.

a) It's pretty necessary for the story as it is the catalyst for the war of 5 kings b) It sets the tone of the series as a brutally realistic and non formulaic fantasy, which is really what sets GoT apart and makes it so good

What date is the next season released?
|
The first episode will air on April 1st.

This series would not have been what it is without it. They may not have got Sean Bean to sign up for multiple seasons anyway.

It wasn't that much of big surprise in the series as it was in the books, because you know Sean Bean always dies...
It is necessary, because why else would Rob start a rebellion? And one of the main themes of this series is, "anyone can die", so get used to it.

About Jon Schnee etc...well they did the same crap in the new version of the books which are still airing - so it wasn't rly surprising for me - still horrible though.
oT: Scrubs has pretty good dubs(one of the best I know), but the original version is better imo.
