Also, why did the kid even lure Lancel near the wildfire where he might have a chance of screwing up the entire plan? Why did Lancel even bother to chase down the kid when it should be common knowledge to him by now that there are spies everywhere? I think you could reasonably assume that it's Cersei's way of getting back at Lancel considering their history.

I just started Boardwalk Empire, so no The only thing which should have been in this episode (i would have cut Arya's scene probably) is something about the WW. We should have seen the army at the wall or something... Will be interesting to see if Sansa vs Jon will be a thing next season, they surely did set it up one way or another.

Three targaryens who killed their mothers during born ? Yeah... No. If GoT pulls the same thing as Battlestar Galactica like "Oh uh... By the way this, this, and this main character is a progenitor cylon" I will throw feces at my screen.
I don't remember - has the show even mentioned the "three dragons"? The books are a different matter altogether.

I'm so glad the high sparrow and the faith militant are all done with. Seriously I preferred mad Cersei to the high sparrow, who tried to appear as a humble peasant in rags but in reality spoke for the gods and passed judgement on everyone except himself.
Tommen did the only thing he could. Rip that scene was beautifully shot. I always liked Loras and Margaery too so rip as well.
Aryas story still makes no sense. How is she able to change faces now. What changed? Anyway I've given up on her.
Let's go king if the north. Can't wait til next season.

I did have that thought

I think another big problem of Cersei blowing shit up is that basically every influent/mighty person from the Lannister + Tyrell forces was in that sept (minus Olena i guess). So even though Cersei is queen now, she basically has noone left that could even help rule a kingdom. Not even mentioning settling the matters of all the houses that just lost their rulers.

Lol at the overwatch video it's perfect

I just rewatched her coronation video. There was no cheering or any emotion expressed beyond stunned silence, awe and grief. No lords featured, they were all purged in the Sept, and the public are quelled in their collective grief for their king, their religion and the great many innocents who died.

Not to mention many know full well it wasn't sheer luck that both Cersei and Tommen weren't there, at HER supposed trial. Rumours will be abound and given Cersei's total lack of leadership, she'll likely end up just like the Mad King, seeing traitors and conspiracies everywhere and having The Mountain trying to crush them all.
She also blew up the last line of both Baratheon and Lannister, as Kevan and Lancel also both died in the explosion. Dany would probably be the next in line officially but at this point she simply usurps the throne with what little forces the Lannisters have left. Dany can likely just walk straight into the Red Keep as I imagine the populace will welcome her over Mad Queen Cersei any day.

Are we allowed to discuss things that happened before the series, i.e. Robert's Rebellion stuff that may not have been explicitly stated in the show?

Great episode. Cercei's "costume" is so cool, too. Love it.
Anyway it makes me wonder how the remains of the old administration will be able to do to prevent the fall of the "Baratheon/Lannister era". Cercei just assassinated a bunch of people but highgarden remains and they have a huge army. Dorne is ready to fight, Daenerys is coming with ships, unsullied, dothraki and 3 dragons, the North (although beat up and weak) is coming down. Part of the Ironborn is involved. The odds are massively stacked against King's Landing.
The remaining potential threats are the other Ironborn, potentially Littlefinger who'll probably be plotting shit since he didn't get his way and he has overwhelming forces but nothing that would realistically tip the balance over, and whatever remains in King's Landing which should be basically negligible. I'm sure things will happen and will make it more complicated, but as things stand now it seems like the things would unfold like, Daenerys gets to King's Landing along with Dorne and the North and everybody else, KL's gates just open because everybody hates Cercei, Daenerys is big boss with some other dude she married, strikes a deal with the North and everybody lived happily ever after. Given the odds it just feels like Littlefinger should sit this one out because that's just way too much to fight against.
Perhaps they'll balance the odds by making a bunch of Dany's ships sink and such.

So technicly we got not Jon Snow but Jon Sand?

Jon "Snow 'Sand' Stargaryen"

How old is Littlefinger anyway? Maybe he changes his strategy and can forget his Stark girl obsession for a moment. I mean Dany wants to marry. That's fine but who does she plan to marry? There is barely anyone left that would make sense. Ignoring all minor houses, there is basically Tyrion, Jaimee, Jon and Littlefinger for male persons whom she can marry and that would be powerful enough to make it viable (unless there is a person we have never heard before magically appearing as an heir to Highgarden or something). So maybe Littlefinger tries to get the Iron Throne that way

That is just too perfect :-D
Great episode! I would have liked to see the white walkers arriving in sight of the Wall as the final shot, though. Can't wait for next season :-)

Black-haired dude rowing the boat will feature in next season's trailer. You heard it here first

After the Jon Snow one for EP9 I was waiting for this to happen and it was everything I had hoped for. Glorious.
