And the Tyrells + Dorne + Mereen has like 100K + 3 dragons.
Perhaps they should have just left out the scene with the Lannisters being broke as it hasn't actually had any real implications (yet) anyway. It is Lannister + Baratheon. I dont think we have real numbers but they are probably still bigger than Martell + Tyrell since Dorne army is rather small.
But true if we combine Martell/Tyrell with Dany's army they are way bigger. Dany alone should actually be able to take on all of Westeros with the help of her Dragons + Dothraki + Unsullied..

Cersei is absolutely power mad. Killing hundreds of people and putting an entire city into chaos. She doesn't even seem to mourn Tommen's death, as Tommen was lost to the high sparrow. Brilliant and frightening to see. Can't even say that she didn't do it either, because who the fuck else would have wildfire (burns green).
King in the North, finally. Jon's background is also pretty much revealed.
Some parts could've been left for another time(hi arya), but aside from that, pretty huge plot advancement.

I don't remember him being mentioned in Arya's repetition of names in front of the House of White and Black. Ilyn Payne's actor is unavailable due to cancer I think, they didnt recast him anymore and just erased him from the story

On second thought, that's probably why Pycelle was killed, to have someone to blame the deed on. It's not unreasonable that he would have known about the wildfire cache. He did have a thorn in the side of Cersei, though that might not be enough of a motive to blow the sept up. But motives can always be fabricated...

I've had this argument other places, they never actually show storm's end and thus the heart of the stormlands being re-captured from stannis, nor have they ever talked about it. Storm's end could still be ruled by whatever castellan stannis put there
besides, the stormlands army was really reduced during the battle of the blackwater, plus the lannisters have lost thousands of men during the war of the five kings, whereas the reach and dorne have taken part in very little actual fighting and have their armies fully intact.

One of the many reasons I liked this episode more than the previous one is that we didn't know what was going to happen. When I saw the knights of Vale I was more like "oh, finally" than "oh shiiiit!"

Those Targaryen sails in the end, the goosebumps :D
Kind of reminds me of the Warcraft 2 opening sequence

What did the kid do that made Lancell follow him though? Did Lancell already know the kid was part of Frankenstein's gang?
doesn't really matter if he followed or not, he followed because the kid was suspicicious.
Regarding Lannister+Baratheon, you mean Renly's forces? who leads that house currently anyway, plus Tommen is already dead, I doubt they would support Cersei

wasn't liking this season much but that was probably my favorite episode ever.

It is Lannister + Baratheon. I dont think we have real numbers but they are probably still bigger than Martell + Tyrell
Its been established previously that Tyrells have the largest army. Lannisters do not have a big army. They just used to be rich, and now they are broke and have no longer the backing from the Iron Bank. We haven't heard anything about the Baratheons either.
|
I know no king but the queen in the north, whose name is lady mormont !
|
Tyrell has 2nd largest, its been said in ep6 or ep7. I think largest is the Vale, since their army wasn't affected much during the rebellion

Neither was the tyrell army. I can't remember that being established.
EDIT: Tyrells have 65K men.

Also:
George R. R. Martin has previously stated that Dorne is roughly equal in military strength to the North and Vale.
|
Makes me wonder if they're going to recast lady Mormont for an older actress.
|
can't wait until next season (and the next book). finally all the pieces are coming together and some of the lesser big pieces are going down.
I wonder if we are going to have any more Arya POV scenes now that she is full pro killer mode finishing her list

good episode, but is the first time i feel heartless about that many death, and i swear i loved margaery, and watching tommen jumping like that i expected it and i was telling inside me go jump chicken ...
|
By being released from the Kingsguard, Jaime regained his name, claims and titles, right? Wouldn't that make him the rightful king after Tommen's death? I believe the king's male next of kin comes before the former king's wife in the succession rules. Not that any of it matters, because those who can back it up just claim power for themselves, but I mean if we're going strictly by the rules. Patriarchy has gone down the drain anyway. We now have Cersei, Daenerys, Ellaria and Olenna heading their houses, with Jon and Littlefinger as the only males in power.
|
So is Jon king of the North and the Vale now?
What a great episode.
