Would of preferred the TV show to uphold the spirit of the books like LOTR movies did with Tolkein.

I found Ramsey's death more satisfying because he suffered before he died. Walder's was pretty satisfying, although I was kinda hoping she would stab him a few times and slit his throat slowly, just like how she did to Trant.

If we piece together what we know about Robert's rebellion being caused by Rhaegar abducting Lyanna we can presume that he's Dany's nephew. However that also places him above her assuming he was a legitimate son. Rhaegar was above Dany and therefore any legitimate children of Rhaegar also come before her in succession. Also Tyrion is now Lord of Casterly Rock and I have no fucking clue who is in charge of the Baratheon or Tyrell houses now. Shit done got crazy.

1. Does Varys have a teleporter? Did he borrow it from Littlefigner? He went from Mereen to Dorne to Mereen to on the ship again in 2 episodes 2. How did Arya get to Westeros? Why did the faceless men not murder her? The faceless men make no sense. 3. Why is Cersie queen? I recall that if Tommen died then Dany is actually the next in line by standard inheritance. And after Dany it's Jamie. This must come up later. 4. Jon's a badass but not a Stark, at least not by name. Why are the lord rallying against him as if he was? Still a cool episode but goddamn this show makes me confused.

About Varys teleporting, come on, its not that hard to grasp, the last scene shown before the sailing ships was Cersei being crowned it kinda ended the present scenes there. The sailing ships obviously happened after sometime . When Daario was talking to Dany he said the ships are "nearly ready" which means it could have taken more time before sailing maybe days or couple of weeks? enough time for Varys to return and report.

By the way, isn't it a bit silly for the religion guy that follows the boy to the Wild Fire to be THIS incapacited by a SINGLE knife hit ? Dude had his whole legs paralyzed from a little kitchen knife in the hips ? Seriously ?

Varys traveled to Dorne to obtain the power of teleportation for the upcoming war. Remember in a previous episodes it was realized that the Sand Snakes possessed this mystical ability when they assassinated Trystane on a boat all the way in King's Landing. + Show Spoiler + It's that or Varys has been gone for most of the season and there was a time skip at the end of the episode that allowed for him to get back to Meeren to join up with Dany 2. tbh idk either. Arya killed the assailant that was after her in a previous episode and they just kind of backed off. Also, I guess that was an alternate means for her graduating into becoming a faceless man. 3. Dany has no claim to the throne by law, as the Targaryans were purged from the land by Robert. Cersei killed EVERYONE in the Church, all her children are dead, and Jamie is a member of the Kingsguard which eliminates his claim. As the queen regent, the throne passes to her. 4. Valor and experience as well as knowledge against their upcoming foe beyond the wall. Also, it's as Littlefinger said long ago, "chaos is a ladder". In desperate times even a bastard can rise.

I wasn't astonished by Varys's quick turnaround as much as that this would be the first time he and Daenarys have met, no? He didn't arrive until after she went on her jaunt and had left before she got back. Why is Cersei queen? Probably because she spent time solidifying her power in the capitol for a long time. Jamie has spent most of his life standing guard, not playing politics. Everyone is probably too scared right now but just waiting for someone else to take her out.

Varys didn't go back to Meereen. There were Tyrell ships in that shot, they just happened to join with the rest of Dany's navy. The Faceless Men let Arya leave. Not quite sure why they would care about Westeros, but it's clear that the organization does for some reason (otherwise why would a Faceless Man have been in Westeros and have been drawn so strongly to Arya in the first place?) To me it seems like Jaqen/the Faceless Men accepted Arya as having some purpose to fulfill in Westeros and trained her as their own for that purpose. It was a sign that she had learned all that she had to learn when she herself realized that she belongs in Westeros, and she had learned enough to kill the Waif by herself. Cersei is queen because she has the power now. She killed everyone else, whether it be accidentally (Tommen) or directly (Baelor). Not sure where you get the impression that Dany is after Tommen in the line of succession, or why Jaime is after Dany. After Tommen dies it's not clear at all who has the "right" to the throne, as if such a thing ever mattered in the first place. Lastly, Jon is being proclaimed king in the north because despite him being a bastard, hundreds of people saw him personally take the fight to the cruelest ruler the north has ever seen, and come out soundly victorious. He is seen as a unifier, and everyone who was coerced into backing the Boltons is backing him out of choice. It does seem that there may be some tension with Littlefinger and Sansa, though.

I hope they have time for some Sansa vs Jon in the next season (obviously not to the point of civil war in the north). Would be nice to see Sansa have some kind of leadership ambition instead of "oh you are a bastard but rule instead of me? That's fine, go Jon!"

Dude had his whole legs paralyzed from a little kitchen knife in the hips ? Seriously ? There is a disclaimer in the books that the timelines for each character's chapters don't necessarily line up. I think the writers have also adopted that into the show. The pace of the plot has sped up so much, and I wouldn't be surprised if months were passing by between and within each episode. I think we were all so used to watching characters develop on slower journeys in the previous seasons, and now they're jumping from location to location for the sake of plot. While I'm grateful that all the storylines are now finally converging to an epic ending, I hope HBO doesn't rush it all. I have bad memories of HBO's Rome, which rushed through so much history in its second season since HBO wouldn't renew for any more seasons.

Many of you guys should stop complaining about the "teleporting". Just understand that a lot of time passes between the events now, and they don't show as much small talk as the story got so large. Anyway, see you guys in a year. I'm sure everyone who has complained every week will start to really miss this story we've had the pleasure of following for another season.
