I didnt like the bathing scene though, i really dont know what purpose it served, or why it was so long lol next episode i imagine shits going to start hitting the fan though ![]() Well if you read the books it was because + Show Spoiler + Viserys dies in the next episode and they wanted to give him some more screen time so it has a bigger effect on the audience.

Weirdly enough I read that Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) will be getting an emmy nomination but not Masie Williams (Arya).

Next episode ("The Wolf and the Lion") will probably include Jaimie attacking Ned and Jory, though. I am looking forward to that. The bathing scene did serve one other purpose. It introduced the dragons relations to the Targaryens better, and you will know what the dragon skulls are when Arya happen upon them in the next episode.

Why would he get an emmy? he just stares angry the whole time... Arya is really shining the series, I really like how they actress is doing her best. Sansa on the other hand we love to hate ![]() + Show Spoiler [Stuff from the books] + I can't wait to see the Lord Fray, man that guy is awesome, hahahaha, Red wedding anyone? And the Knight of Flowers, I guess we'll see him next episode in the tourney ? I wonder how they will do the while melisandre character and who they will cast as Brienne...

Other than that meh, then again with hollywoods trend of putting woman in the kitchen or getting raped because they're totally defenseless and weak wasn't expecting much (zombieland as an example... why wouldn't woman use guns/weapons there aswell? Instead they cook, wash laundry and IRON CLOTHES during the apocalypse).

Wouldnt call Cersei, Lady Stark or Daenerys "weak", defenseless in that sense, but hey it's pretty middle ages, they cant wield the sword of half their weight. This setting that being portrayed is more close to reality than the "equal rights", "unsexist" thing. And this is what they tried to accomplish in this show - more reality, less fiction.

I'm most definitely not getting this vibe at all, and if you think that is bad, then you definitely should never read a single book based in the real life Middle ages.

OT: One thing I don't like is that the armies, while travelling, look like 50 person strong. When in reality it's supposed to be massive armies on the move. For instance, the Dothraki scenes, and the Lannisters to and from Winterfell. Looks like 50ish people going on a horseback ride. That's the only thing I don't like, everything else is awesome and everyone is well-casted.

Sometimes you just have to accept that even the best TV budget doesn't necessarily allow for vast armies to be shown all the time.

In their relationship, as it is shown up to this point, nothing has been really changed if you compare the book and screen. One thing about this episode I forgot to mention in my first post is that I REALLY wanted to see more of the Tournament, Knight of the Flowers and other participants. The set looked extremely well made, it's a shame they shown just that much of it.

They were able to do it in Rome, and this is HBO. Also there is effects that can make an army look 10x the size without looking duplicated. They used this all the time in Lord of the Rings.

This part of the storyline occurs very early on in the book and so they need to get it out right away in the first few episodes. So far I think they've done a good job of establishing the intricacies of the game of thrones through out most of the families. This last episode saw the inclusion of the Tully's, Theon's family, and the good 'ol dragons. + Show Spoiler + Man I can imagine the birthing scene and dragon eggs part is going to be interesting to see how they adapted it.
