Episode 3 is going to suck, I already thought so. They should have ended it after 2 (with a slightly different (happy?) ending). But the cash cow is being milked further...

Season one was great I don`t think I have missed one episode -.-, two was intense but semi sucked. I really do not dig "master mind" Michael anymore.

First season rocked the major socks. They should have run it a couple more episodes and ended it there. Season 2 just was poor, I recently sat down and made myself watch it so I could watch the new series but it was like a crappy sequel, and by the sounds of thigs season 3 is gonna be even worse. Not planning on watching it.

Resurrecting this thread because I've just started rewatching season 3.

There appears to be a gayass inconsistency... In that James Whistler has a bounty on his head, that whoever kills him will be freed from SONA by a corrupt judge, as the reason Whistler is in there is because he killed the mayor's son. The mayor therefore has put a bounty on Whistler's head, offering the inmate who kills Whistler freedom.

This is why the prison mob boss guy wants Whistler dead - so he can get out of SONA. But for some dumb reason just because Schofield restores water to SONA, thus sealing the mob head's power over SONA, the mob head no longer wants Whistler dead. Now why the fuck does he want to remain in SONA when he can have Whistler dead and be released by the mayor's corrupt judge?

I'm pretty sure it was about getting an earlier court date, not getting released from SONA. I'll check later if I remember.

Also, t-bag starred in a prison break themed episode on "Breakout Kings" a week or 2 ago.

Yeah it's been a few years since I watched this, always watched it on release day, but the killer would get an earlier court date. Lechero knew that he was in for 4 lifetimes so there was no way he would get out, so he didn't want to bother killing a man.

And yeah, Robert Knepper's appearance in Breakout Kings was fantastic, such a great actor.

Hmm, OK... But in that case though... Wouldn't the bounty still apply to any other prisoner who wants an earlier court date? Or would they need to do it through the mob boss guy who has contact with the mayor? I'm guessing that the mayor, if he wanted revenge enough, would still want anyone to kill Whistler - not just the mob boss, so would advertise the bounty to everyone whether through the mob boss or not. Thanks for the explanations though.

I think the reason others decided not to kill Whistler was because the mob boss decided not to. Maybe they thought killing Whistler would be defiant of what the mob boss wanted and thats disrespectful.

Either:

a) they risk pissing off the 'leader' (they get chicken footed or w/e it is and killed)

b) the only person who could actually relay the message was the 'leader' (only one with a phone) so there is no point.

OK so I'm up to episode seven. Another silly inconsistency... The first time they tried to break out and it failed, the guards saw the ladder hanging outside cell 212 and so went into the prison to do a head count. Anyway, they find out that the cell belongs to one of Lechero's mob. And they pick a random one out of the crowd and ask him if it's his. He doesn't say anything so they say: "I presume that's a yes." And then shoot him. And walk out of the prison. The thing is, it wasn't even his cell - it was the guy with the braided hair's cell. Wouldn't you think that if there was an attempted escape, and the fact that one of the guards was drugged, the guards would have made a decent effort to catch the real culprit (even though the real culprit was Michael), but you'd think the guards would at least find out exactly who's cell it was, rather than just pick a random guy to kill and be happy with it.

I think season 4 was better then horrible, it was on par with season two i think. Season three you cant really call horrible, thats an insult to horrible. it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad i don't know how to call it but wow how to butcher a show.

I liked all the seasons quite a bit, I really liked the later seasons. I think some episodes in certain seasons were rather dull, but that is not uncommon.

I personally like that it aired for a long time and would have even liked it to go on for longer probably.

i didnt like the way season 4 started, cuz it didnt feel like the antagonist had that "invincibility aura" they had anymore but the plot twist was amazing
