+ Show Spoiler + I honestly wasn't sure if Sato was a member of the equalists or not. I felt like it was a set up to make Korra/Lin accuse the innocent and take a blow to their rep, but having Sato actually an equalist worked as well. Look forward to next week

Seriously, that's the only scenario I can imagine where this Asami/Mako/Korra thing gets resolved. Highly doubt Bolin would end up playing a role in it all. Also, I'm also hungry for some benders to start kicking ass already. It's been 7 episodes and there hasn't been any badass mountain raising, tsunami summoning, tornado summoning anything. The first season is called "Air" so I fully expect Korra to learn airbending by the end of it all and wreck shit up.

also yes we will probably see more epic bending later on about lin, maybe since she's not blind, she's simply not used to always paying attention to her surroundings like toph does from this episodes we see that she seemed to have to concentrate specifically to find the tunnel; it wasn't something she has turned "on" all the time, but maybe i'm wrong (i don't remember her taking off the soles of her shoes...?) also remember in TLA it seemed that the characters fought in longer ranges often, with more earth/air/fire/water flinging in LoK, it seems there is much more close combat, everything is quicker; you don't have time to "charge up" your attacks or blocks, you just have to do it quickly

Seriously whats up with it being firebenders, we know water and earth benders could totally be as much of a bad guy as any firebender. This leads me to believe that this mysterious firebender is the same dude making everyone else look bad. You forgot about Jet. But we know who killed his parents, it was that rough rhino guy.

Amand? Honestly I don't think she is a real bad guy as in she sides with the equalist. But just the whole way she's introduced + how she looks and how she acts does make me think there's something that's going to go wrong between her and the group.

Also would have thought with the equalists using electricity the police would go back to plain earth bending. Relying on metal makes them so vulnerable. I have a feeling that Tarlock could be Amon, deliberately starting a conflict and playing both sides to gain power. We only have Amon's word that his face is scarred and what better way to hide his identity and carry out his plans. Also water benders are capable of healing and also of blood bending, it is not so hard to imagine that one could discover how to disable bending powers, alter blood flow/structure of the brain, which would likely mean that it can be reversed.

As for why Beifong couldn't metalbend in Sato's bunker, his welcome speech says it all. "I'm afraid you won't be able to metalbend that wall, Chief Beifong. It's solid platinum. My mecha tanks are platinum as well. Not even your renowned mother could bend a metal so pure." Beifong's inability to metalbend wasn't due to any of platinum's physical properties or its high monetary value, but the fact that the platinum Sato used was so pure. While this statement doesn't give us any more information about which specific components of the "earth" are manipulated by earthbenders, it is consistent with Toph's explanation of metalbending: if you can't find any "earth" in a metal, you can't metalbend it. Finally seeing Tenzin fight was badass. My boy's got some moves! Korra needs to hurry up and learn from him. I too am anxious to see me some Avatar state.

I highly doubt that Tarlock could be Amon with those reasons. I can`t remember the source but Zuko`s face was permanently scarred by his father, and that no amount of waterbending could heal it. Healing using waterbending does have its limitations. With regard to the bloodbending, it would only be situational, since bloodbending can only be done during a lunar eclipse.

Katara offered to heal Zuko's scar with the moon/ocean spirit pond water in season 2 but I think they were interrupted before Zuko could respond, that might have healed it. Also full moon not eclipse. I don't think that speculation to Amon's identity will yield anything. It could well be someone we haven't met.

After she offered Zuko to help him she had to use it on Aang and it didn't make his scar disappear. It did bring him back to life but it didn't heal the scar itself.

I think it's pretty cool that the metal benders used their armor. We had a discussion on this forum about how their armor would make them impervious to chi blockers. I don't know if these episodes are made weekly but it seems like the writers sometimes read the forums. I also like the metal robots. I think they're a tesla invention, and the earliest historical reference I saw of them was in an episode of superman. The scene in Korra reminded me of the superman scene.
