It's the lion turtles that gave wan the ability to bend all 4 elements and not Raava, so it stands to reason that the first and only air benders were pacifist monks. Also, the female air nation avatar that Aang consulted before fighting Ozai advised Aang to kill Ozai so all air benders weren't necessarily 100% pure. They understood doing what needed to be done... | ||

To be fair she was the avatar and she stated the difference between being an air nomad and the avatar. She took the role as she should, where as Aang wanted to go the feel good route. But yeah there are going to be some bad air benders no matter how pacifist your culture is. It's impossible to not have a bad one here and there. | ||

I'm thinking that while she wasn't with the Red Lotus, she did know about their plan and she wanted to use it for her own ends. She helped Korra because she wants Korra to be on her side, like Sozin and Roku. I always find the "free bonus army for the good guys" to be a bit suspicious. Either the plan falls apart or they turn out to be evil. | ||

If thats suyin then Ai wei must have been her eyebrow trimmer definitely looks like Kuvira the hair style and eyebrows are the same | ||
