huh? Suyin is also Suyin (given name) Beifong (surname) as far as anyone knows, because her father is unknown, just like Lin's is

It's more likely aang somehow wronged him and his 3 companions in some way, although it's still unclear what it might be. He's definitely knowledgeable about air bending, so it's possible he used to be an air acolyte, as we know he wouldn't be an air bender (aang was the last one, after all, and tenzin and his children were the only new ones until harmonic convergence).
As for the beifong's, i'm really liking their story so far. To me with how Suyin is acting, she's definitely the one guilty of wronging lin, and most probably is the reason she has that scar on her face. The writers seem to like going into detail on how people get their scars, and after the whole zuko + ozai scar thing, I'm sure they'll do the same plot where family caused the scar.

For example, women do not drop their surname upon marriage, so Suyin would still be Suyin Beifong. He could be a bastard child. Maybe Aang had a few too many to drink and accidentally made Zaheer. I mean he's the avatar, right? And the savior of the world. Girls would be ALL over him left and right.

I SERIOUSLY doubt they would imply that Aang cheated on Katara. It would tarnish his image so much.
Kya did recognize Zaheer rather quickly, so there is definitely something going on. I just don't think it's linked to Aang possibly being Zaheer's father.

Maybe you're right.
On a side note, I just watched episode 6. It was really good and I liked how they actually took their time and focused on character development. Also metal city is so based. That's what the future of the Avatar universe is going to be like - metal space stations powered by lightning.

we havnt seen the firelord yet the female one, zukos daughter i think i read somewhere...so far it seems to be only zuko who is dealing with the problems. Also where are the elite white lotus members where people just not as good after iroh, swordmaster, the grandfather waterbender, convict firebender, bomi?
i cant really imagine the zaheer son of aang story not because of the cheating but rather how it has to do with korra, so even if he hates his dad after hes dad dies hes hates him so much he grabs a bunch of super elite benders to kidnap korra??? wtf that would be retarded. They have to have a much more intense purpose then just grugdes

Princes, grandmaster swordsmen, earth kingdom kings, and northern air temple waterbending masters. The regular white lotus always sucked and are being used to show how powerful Zaheer and his gang is. For all we know, Zuko and Katara are white lotus leaders now.

Another way to look at it might be that the organization could only be afforded and understood by a few elite and powerful. Their status, knowledge, and positions allowing them to see beyond national and political barriers. However, with globalization and perhaps a recognition of the part the white lotus played in helping out Aang, perhaps the organization expanded in size, scope, and function. A size increase that would requires a bunch of noobs and standard cannon fodder to complete the boring tasks that you wouldn't want to leave to the heroes (such as dying and getting face smashed by villains).

I'm predicting Team Anti-Avatar to ally with the Earth Queen now that they are against Korra. If that isn't the case, the barbarians might conspire a coup similar to the Russian Revolution, either way, there are many possibilities of the directions of this show. Hopefully go further into detail with the new airbenders in Harmonic Convergence.

New Korra episodes are out. Did anyone see them already?
Were they as good as the previous?

I would say they were slightly below the previous episodes, but still good and much better than season 2 for sure. Honestly they were almost filler episodes by some standards, but I won't get into details yet until more people have been able to watch them.

The only major complaint I have about the new episodes is that I think Lin's conflict was resolved a little too quickly. The way Lin was all roses and sunshine at the end felt a little hokey to me - I think I would have bought it better if she was a little more resistant to reconnecting with her sister. Also Tenzin's arc felt slightly recycled from seasons 1, 2.
Other than that the episodes were pretty solid. They did feel a little filler-esque but there was enough strong character development and AWESOME FIGHTS and NO STUPID PILL ACTION to make it feel integral to the season. There were some really chilling moments, such as + Show Spoiler +Zaheer OP haxxor omniscience and BABY AIR BISON CAPES. Can't imagine what Aang would do if he were there. Was disappointed that we didn't get to see any preview for next week's episodes and instead got more Nick ********.

I agree about Lin. Her "Good morning" or whatever was the creepiest thing I've seen in Korra.

things I liked:
the fight scenes! still good! Lin + Suyin backstory the + Show Spoiler + subplot was filler, but interesting in terms of character growth for the airbenders Korra is way less annoying!!!!!!!!!!
things I was annoyed by: Tenzin is still overly bossy Bolin pls grow up Kai pls be less annoying Zaheer how are you ridiculously omniscient

Yeah, but I don't blame that on the developers. They only get 13 episodes (unlike the 20+ of atla). I still felt it was weird and very silly, but I know they have to kind of rush these things, especially as they are trying to make each season a different villain (which I dislike, I wish season 3 and 4 would deal with these guys or something like that).
