Other than that the finale was okay. Hopefully the spirits won't destroy everything and ruin all technological and societal progress that has happened over the past 10,000 years.

Of all of them she picked Korra, the girl that not only opened both portals, freed Vatu and put Unalag in power, but she also destroyed any and all past lives of the Avatar. Did she really want all next incarnations of the avatar to ask Korra for advice? Jinora was such a better candidate. She had the proper attitude and the spiritual connection required to be an awesome avatar. But no, she chose the worst of the worst to be the next #1. Other than that the finale was okay. Hopefully the spirits won't destroy everything and ruin all technological and societal progress that has happened over the past 10,000 years. The reason why Raava fused with Korra again is because she is still the ONLY person in the whole world - including the new Dark Avatar - that can bend all 4 elements. We know this because we see Korra airbend up with Tenzin to the Tree of Time, and throughout the entire fight all the Dark Avatar did was bend one element. Honestly the series had a "jumping the shark" moment for me when: + Show Spoiler + Jinora shows up, literally performs Solar Flare and does jack shit for the rest of the fight. I know that what she actually did was show Korra where Raava was inside of Vaatu, but come on. I can forgive the super-sized Vaatu/Unalaq thing because we saw Vaatu get that big when Wan fought him. I can even forgive the fact that Korra became a giant blue spirit thingy because she is literally turning her soul into a conduit for cosmic energy at the most spiritual place in the world (real or spiritual) during the time when spiritual energy is at it's highest.

No see that's the one part that actually makes sense. Why do you think Jinora had all of these crazy spirit powers. She found Wan's statue in that room and was given a piece of Rava or some spiritual power in the first episode. Whatever was in that statue is in her now. She knows that she can control that power. She is the most suitable candidate. As for that whole 4 elements thing, Unalag was doing just fine bending water alone. If it comes down to it, she can go see the lion turtle and get more. Korra having a bunch of shit she was gifted from birth and never worked for does not make her anymore qualified to be the avatar. It comes down to character and spiritual connection. We both know that Korra lacks or is otherwise completely incompetent in both.

EDIT: Ok, it was a little intense seeing the past avatars literally beaten out of korra, and bolin made the epilogue for me, but I didn't find much else to recommend.

So you're telling me that 10,000 years worth of Avatar power and experience was NOT strong enough to beat Unalaq, even before he was fused with Vaatu? Sorry, I gotta call bullshit on that.

The tipping point was + Show Spoiler + that Vaatu for some reason became much stronger than Raava after they became separated. In that fight it seemed like Korra was going to win in a straight up Avatar vs Avatar match, but Vaatu came out of Unalaq and dragged Raava out.

Yeah, that really confused me, but... + Show Spoiler [an explanation?] + SMBH from avatarspirit.net wrote: When Unalaq broke Raava, she dissolved into itty bitty bits of golden glow. At that precise moment, Jinora's spirit sensed that something was wrong, and disappeared. Seems like she went to collect the remainders of Raava, and brought them to where Korra and Vaatunalaq were fighting, planting the seed of Raava in Vaatu, thus allowing for Korra to recover Raava. also: + Show Spoiler + ![]() thought out from the beginning??? ![]()

Come on guys, the series wasn't that that bad. It was actually pretty good. To be honest, when S3 of Last Airbender ended people were pissed about how the Lion Turtle came out of nowhere as if the only way for any movie or series to end is for no new stuff to get introduced. I still have friends who hated the ending of that. Time will tell whether I think of this ending to be as epic as Last Airbender. I don't think it will be, but it's still better than most of what's on TV. Too many tentacles again. They were semi predictable. Someone said Vaatu would fuse with Unalaq. At least they aired the last four episodes all at once. On November 16 2013 17:22 synapse wrote: wow... mako.... LOL Mako should have told her he started dating Asami.
